The hosts are lovely! The location was really great - super close to rentals and the bus stop for the shuttles right outside. Loved the back entrance for after skiing and drying clothes. The room was cosy and bathroom fine. The shared bathroom experience was different but we had it to ourselves when needed. We appreciated the heating!

The bed and pillows were a bit too firm for us but we got used to it after the first night. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

We stayed for almost two weeks and it felt like a home away from home. It reminded me of Bavaria in Germany - the cozy kitchen, the fireplace, the beams on the ceiling. It's a traditional pension-style accommodation and breakfast is optional. There is always free tea and coffee in the kitchen area. If you are skiing or snowboarding, there is a drying room for all your gear. The place is run by a lovely couple and they explain everything.

The pillows were quite flat and it's best to ask for an extra pillow, especially if you have neck issues. If you are renting a car, be aware that there is so much snow sometimes that the carpark is not available (it wasn't available during our entire stay)

The place has a rustic ski lodge feel to it and the owners make you feel like you are staying with a distant uncle and aunty who will prepare you breakfast in the morning if you ask nicely. The room was cosy and warm and the beds were comfortable. Bathing area and toilets were kept clean during our stay. There was a coin operated washer and dryer available to use and also a dry room and storage area for skis and snowboard gear. The location is pretty hard to beat within steps to the middle of the Echoland main strip where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars to choose from. There are buses that shoot off from the Main Street to allow you to easily chase the Japow at all the different ski resorts around Hakuba.

There is only one local convenience store JahJah’s but it opens late and closes early by Japanese standards (8:00am - 9:00pm).

Perfect stay in the heart of Echoland. All the facilities were as described with also an extra dry room which was brilliant at end of the day of skiing to store your gear. Right beside various equipment rental spots, all the bars and restaurants and multiple bus stops along the street to the various resorts. The owner was so welcoming, took his time to show us around the accommodation and how to use all the facilities. During our stay he answered any questions we had and was always responsive on messages. 100% want to return and stay again!

The breakfast was great and we always felt full. Mostly western style breakfast with a Japanese twist. The rooms were very basic and maybe a little old, but otherwise were perfectly fine. The hosts were friendly and were happy to answer any questions. There is a fridge in the common area you can put some drinks/food in, but in the busy period I imagine it gets quite full. The communal showers are Japanese style. The shuttle system takes a bit to get used to, but there is a stop right out the front of this lodge to get to Happo One, the Bus Terminal or Hakuba 47. Make sure you eat downstairs at the Yakitori restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.

Our room smelt a bit like gas from a heater or something, it took a bit to get used to. There should be instructions on how to use the heater, but otherwise the owner came and showed us. There was not really a social culture in the afternoon/evenings in the common areas.

Great location. The bus stop for Hakuba 47, Goryu and Iimori is right in front, Central Sports is across the road, lion rental next door and you are right on the echoland strip making it very easy to walk to many restaurants, convenience store and shops. Owners (staff) were amazing. They were very helpful and it truly felt like you were staying at a family friend's place.

Shared bathrooms are always scary, it's very open, there is no divider between the showers so if you are showering at the same time as someone else of your gender then there is no privacy.

1) Convenient location - Opposite Central Snowsports for equipment rental - Short walk from the bus stop to the ski resorts and the convenience store 2) Food - Big portion of breakfast to fuel us before skiing - Delicious yakitori restaurant nestled just below 3) Cleanliness - Very well-kept and clean

Nothing, we enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you for opening your home to us!

Great location in Echoland, clean & spacious, really filling and tasty breakfast before skiing, friendly and helpful host, thank you!! Would stay again :)

Only thing is the communal showers lacked privacy (but they were empty every time we wanted to use them so not really a problem!)

Great location, breakfast was amazing and changed daily (best breaky we had in Japan) hosts are so lovely and take pride in everything they do. Happy to pick up and drop off from bus terminal very reasonable cost. Close to buses to the various resorts and one house off echoland. Everything worked well, would love to return again. Shared bathrooms were very clean and had them to ourselves most of the time. Thank you!

Great host, very friendly and accommodating. Picked up our luggage and snowboard bag from our accomodation in Happo One while we we're out on the slopes and let us keep our luggage there after checkout time so we could get out snowboarding before we left. Breakfasts were great too.
