Beds were comfy n warm. Open space lounge with communal tables and sofas made it a very welcoming place. Breakfast was simple and tasty. Good selection of pastries, muffins, toast, cheese, yoghurt and fruit. A mini oven, microwave, kettle with tea and coffee available in the lounge made the place more comfortable; like a home away from home. Staff were always friendly. The pick up service from the Hakuba St on check in day was very appreciated!! The Joint is also very centrally located to a convenience store, and all the buses that pass Echoland.

Loved the place, would stay again without a doubt.

The joint Echoland Hakuba is very central to all dining bars and food… Also very close to Hoppoone.. I myself walked there when there’s a free shuttle bus.. Very beautiful the Japanese Alps!! Love Hakuba..

Nothing really for me to complain about!! The guests in my 6 bed dorm said there was a snorer in the dorm, whom was relocated to another room. Im 46 and shared the dorm with a lot of young kids in there 20’s and the never woke me up after they had drinks with there friends.. Very respectful..

Located right in the heart of Echoland. It was easy to catch the shuttle buses to the different snow fields in Hakuba, especially with a Hakuba valley pass. The toilets and showers were all very clean and never had to wait for them. The manager Jake was always available and responsive if you had any questions, plus he picked me up from the bus station. I slept in the dorm room and the bunk beds were extremely comfortable and warm. This place has maybe the best drying room I’ve ever used in snow accommodation. There is a nice little common area with a fireplace and friendly interactions with other travellers. Nice & basic breakfast included - loved the raisin toast!

Nitpicking but some kind of vacant/occupied signage for the shared toilets would be nice. Hard to find faults for this place, would definitely stay again!

Easy access to shuttle bus that take you to slopes rooms are better than what is in the photos helpful staff breakfast available can accept luggage delivery there is a drying room available

Going back from the slopes is harder as you need to access specific bus stops at specific times, tho I cant say if this is the same for all the other accomodations since this is the only one I have been to washing machine was not working properly, clothes turn out wet, if you have limited clothing, this might be an issue a bit hard to get into if coming from hakuba train station or happo bus terminal, if you have no car.. consider hiring a car with your mates for better accessibility

We loved our stay at the joint! The rooms and beds were comfortable with great blankets and pillows. The heating worked really well and the small bathroom we had in our room was great. We loved the giant fire and lounge room for guests, it was perfect to relax in after a day skiing. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating with awesome tips on the area and picking us up and dropping us off from the train / bus. The dry room for your ski gear was excellent and everything was so easy, we had everything we needed. In a good location for the bus stops and lots of restaurants in the area.

Great location. Log fire. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Jake went straight out and bought new hairdryers when I reported one wasn’t working 😊

Eggs for breakfast would have been lovely. A better option for storing our clothes in the room. Clear the ice/ snow off the back stairs as it was tricky to navigate the steps to access the skis/drying room

The staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. The accommodation was cozy and I was always comfortable. The other guests were great to be around. We will be coming back when we visit Hakuba again.

The only improvement I could recommend is a second washing machine but that is trivial.

Breakfast was lovely (bread, pastries, muesli, yogurt, juice) We got a lift from the Bus Terminal at the start and end of our stay (included) Room was bright, warm and cosy Bathrooms were clean and supplied nice shampoo conditioner and body wash Common room was cosy and people are very friendly, TV with netflix and some nice books. Room was big (for Japan) and bedding was clean and cosy. Bed was big! Nice food recommendations, very helpful Location was perfect!

maybe a place to prepare simple meals or store food could be a bonus and I would consider staying for longer it this was available! but honestly, no complaints actually.

Really lovely communal area, great showers and everything was clean! The bed was so comfortable and a cozy fire in the living room.

There was quite a lot of noise from outside because the windows are quite thin, and the room was extremely small. But this is quite normal in Japan, I think. The breakfast was big, but predominately beige. Would be so nice with some vegetables or something hot too. Jake was absolutely lovely, but the other workers are "workaway staff," I think, and so they only worked a few hours a day, so most of the time there was noone around to ask for tips or advice on things you needed. But you can always text Jake 😎
