This hotel is right next to Himeji train station, so you don't need a taxi / bus to reach it from the train station. The room and as well as the entire hotel was very clean, the staff helpful. We had a standard room with a super-sized bed (2.5 m large and 2.2 m long). I could fit a family with 1 or 2 small kids. Due to this large bed there wasn't much space left in the room. The room was rather quiet. At night one could hear the freight trains is awake, but nothing which would be annoying. There are plenty of restaurants nearby so you can enjoy your stay in Himeji! The hotel had coin laundry as which we used as well as a public bath which we didn't visit.

1) The castle is far from the property, so it is small. Although the view is still, it is not as good as expected 2) The castleview is only available on the top few floors. because the high builidngs (e.g. Daiwa hotel in front) limited it. Instead, Daiwa hotel should have a nice castleview

This property’s location can’t be beat. It’s literally right outside the train station by the bus terminal, which are both attached to a shopping mall and bounded by several pedestrian shopping streets full of quaint shops and restaurants. It’s a 20-minute stroll on foot to Himedji Castle too, which can be seen from the front of the train station—very easy to find. The rooms are large and comfortable and the property will graciously store your luggage. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The beds were a bit hard for my liking though the rest of my family prefers them. The pillows are also thin. A pillow menu would be beneficial. Otherwise, there is little to complain about. This is a great, European-style property.

Great location by Himeji station, plenty of food and shopping options within a few steps of the entrance and Himeji Castle about 1km walk away. Well-equipped room with a large, comfortable bed, soft pillows as well as hard (not always guaranteed in Japan!), a fridge, plenty of plug sockets and mirrors. Staff were very helpful in letting us store our bags for the day after we checked out and appeared to be able to assist with luggage forwarding as well.

Breakfast buffet was broad but by 9am some items were running out. Price also extremely high - would not have chosen it if not for receiving a heavy discount when booking. The onsen and changing area was quite small given the high-class aesthetic of the rest of the hotel. There were only 4 other people there when I went and it felt very crowded - you are also required to have your room key checked by a member of staff on entrance, which was a little odd and something no other hotel on our trip had.

The room was very spacious, and we had lots of room to move about in. The beds were marvelous! Comfy and huge!! We have a king bed at home, and this was even bigger! The bathroom was a good size, and the shower was perfect. We used the onsen, and it was quite lovely and very clean. Private lockers and amenities are available. The location was a quick walk to the station, and within walking distance of the castle, gardens, shops, and restaurants. Staff were very efficient and helpful. Great esthetics as well. The hotel feels quite luxurious but doesn't cost the moon.

Like: Location, great location. Comfy bed. No noise. Sauna, very nice, hot and cold plunge along with really hot Sauna. The room was just decent. Dislike: shower, worst in a long time. Had to fight curtain and wand just to take a shower. Staff were like robots, asking anything outside of their programming, threw them for a loop. Sauna, you have to take your towel from your room to the sauna, weird. The place needs a good update and facelift.

Hotel is right next Himeji station which is very convenient. Staff almost all spoke English which was very helpful to me.

Nothing to dislike, if I can only mention to be aware as a traveller that there are few entrances to the hotel. I actually thought I was locked out 😅, after my venture out one night and came back to hotel that was locked with signs saying “ 22pm to 7am” closed😁😂. On a freezing winter night not something that I wanted to see. Haha luckily local people called hotel for me and discovered there was another 24/7 hotel entrance.

It is connected to the train station and that makes it super convenient. The hotel is spotless & the service excellent. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was outstanding, food was delicious. The room was a little small but very well distributed, comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was abundant, with a lot of variety, fresh & delicious. Service was excellent. They even called our next hotel to make sure they would pick us up at the train station. They provided plenty of amenities.

As with everyone else…..location! We drove and then dropped the car off at Nissan car hire which is within walking distance of the hotel. Parking was up a ramp, through a boom gate and in an outdoor lot. Even though the price is more expensive on a weekend, you give your ticket to the front desk and only pay 1000JPY. Washing machine was brilliant with the washing powder already in it!! Only takes 4 x 100 coins or cashless if you download some app. No queue to use machines.

The king size bed was two large singles made up together. That’s great but needs a space down both sides to get in and out, not against the wall (we moved it out ourselves).
