The property was at a very convenient location — within walking distance of a convenience store and the JR Kobe Station. The staff was very accommodating and patient in spite of the numerous times I accidentally locked myself out of my room, and were willing to accommodate me with every problem I had. The rooms would always be left clean when we needed cleaning, and we were given clean sheets, towels, and pajamas every day (which I wish I had known before, as it would have saved me so much in luggage!). When I return to Japan, I’ll definitely be staying at Kobe Hotel Juraku again!

Hotel Juraku is a modern hotel with reasonable rates, very close to JR Kobe, Harborland subway station and the underground concourse leading to Harborland Malls and harborside tourism complex. It is also only a short walk from western end of Motomachi Shopping Arcade and a little farther to Kobe Chinatown. All furnishings, carpets and fixtures in the hotel are very new, and set to tasteful modern decor. Both breakfast and evening meals are available. My basic room was spacious, with sufficient desk room to plan each day's activities, sort digital photos and make diary notes. The hotel is two train stops from the far more busy Sannonmiya Station, which I preferred.

Night-time climate control keeps the room too warm for sleeping under covers, but this is common to Japanese hotels. A change of trains is required to reach JR Shin-Kobe (Shinkansen Stop), but is only 10-15 minutes away. Osaka is readily reached using Rapid Express from nearby JR Kobe, but if going to Himeji use the Shinkansen.

Kobe Hotel Juraku was probably one of the best deals I’ve come across in my month in Japan. The hotel is exquisite, with a very spacious western sized bathroom. It was so nice to actually be able to fit into a bathtub for once. The amenities in the room were top notch, and you can’t really get much closer to a train station than this location. There was staff on hand that spoke excellent English, allowing me to feel more comfortable during the check-in process. Breakfast was far better than most of my other accommodations, with a plentiful amount of various dishes to choose from. The dining area is very large with plenty of seating for everyone attending. Oishi!

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip and chose it because it was close to my destination. The hotel has a great location, just a 10-minute walk to Nankinmachi. I bought 40 pieces of my favorite Laoshangji pork buns. At check-in, the male staff member provided quick and efficient service. As a foreigner, I really appreciated his kind and friendly attitude. Hotel check-ins often take a long time, but the staff here seemed experienced, which was very helpful. I would definitely like to stay here again.

It was inconvenient to have to present my key card every time I wanted to use the welcome drink service. Also, the lobby on the first floor was dimly lit, and the breakfast area was similarly dark, which brought down my mood a little.

A relatively new hotel. The hotel info on tv includes whether the washers and dryers (coin laundry) are in use or available - very convenient so that you don't have to go check yourself. Walking distance to several malls/shopping areas. Very close to Kobe Station, and every train (local, rapid, new rapid) on the JR line stops here. Can store your luggage before/after check-in/check-out, can borrow umbrellas.

Unclear what you can/should do with your room trash if you'd like it taken away/need a new trash bag, but don't want cleaning for the rest of your room. I ended up keeping all my food-related trash in the refrigerator until I checked out.

First of all the hotel is directly located at Kobe Station which is super convenient. In the area are some nice restaurants within a 5 minutes walk or a conbini on the other side of the street if you need some late night snacks or drinks. The hotel itself is very modern and seems to be quite new and extremely clean. The twin bedroom was big enough to move around comfortable. The bathroom was also bigger as expected. I was very surprised by the excellent breakfast buffet with a lots of delicious options and a very nice breakfast area which also offers lunch and free coffee and tea between 15:00-19:00.

Location is just within 5 minutes walking from Kobe station. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Not much around, but able to walk to most touristic places. Other stations (Motomachi and Sannomiya) might be closer to the touristic areas. Kobe station is just next to the malls, which are connected to each other.

Located a few minutes away directly from Kobe station and easy to identify. 7-11 down the street. The hotel and room are very lush looking, with a breakfast buffet with a good selection of items (not many western choices, but I'm in a different country so really shouldn't complain about that...) No large public bath, but the room does have a clean looking bath/shower with amenities provided. They also provide lounge wear, with a small closet with a locked safe, and other ironing amenities. Very comfortable feel in the room with plenty of space for 1 person. They also had a laundry machine, vending machines, ice machine and a microwave located on a separate floor for use. They also had an ad for massage services that could travel to your hotel and visit your room to treat you directly (not used).

Honestly I have no real complaints. With the look of the hotel I was surprised it wasn't pricier. They do explicitly advise against bringing any guests, stating that if they are visiting they are free to do so in the lobby only. The cafe in the first floor does let you bring outside food to eat there during limited hours.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. The hotel is fairly new and the cleanliness in the room as well as the bathroom is well maintained. The restaurant was also constantly well cleaned. There was also no strong smell of room fresheners in the room as well as detergent on towels and linen which is comforting. The breakfast choices are fine but wish there was more bakery items such as pastries. The hotel is 5 minute walk from JR Kobe station and the subway connecting to Sannomiya which is the CBD of Kobe in about 5 minutes.

As the train tracks are close by, you can hear the trains from around 5AM and until late night. While not so disturbing, as the rooms are fairly quiet the sound stands out.

This is a lovely hotel conveniently located near the station. The room I stayed in was much larger than average, spotlessly clean and newly furnished. I highly recommend this place, it’s an excellent hotel and if you’re lucky, you might even get a room with a great view!

The only issue I encountered was the lack of a hanger for jackets near the entrance of the room. Instead, I had to walk all the way to the wardrobe at the far end of the room. I’m not sure if this is just part of the room’s design, but my suggestion would be to add a hanger near the door for convenience, so guests don’t have to walk through the room just to hang up their jacket.
