A capsule hotel that does what it was meant too. Please note that you need to check-out every day before 10AM and check-in again after 3PM, meaning put all your stuff in your locker and leave an empty capsule for cleaning purposes. Also note that the shared bathroom is an Onsen. So you need to be ok with that. I didn't see if there were any other private options, but I don't think so. Also the Onsen mentions no tattoo inside. I did not have some myself, so I don't know what's your option if you have some. Other than that, people were friendly and helpful during my stay and the bed was soft. I recommend staying here for a quick stay, not a long one (what was the capsule hotel was meant for after all)

Probably the best location to stay in Kumamoto being situated in an active shopping arcade and also being about 10 minutes walk away from Kumamoto Castle. The overall capsule hotel has a dated feel, like it was established in the 80s or 90s, but I found it quite charming. There was even an old karaoke machine booth on the fourth floor. New towels and pajamas are provided every day. Each capsule bed has one outlet and a TV. There is also ventilation but many people may not realize it because there’s a button on the bottom of the ventilation system that you have to switch on, which can be hard to see. There also might be some confusion for those unfamiliar with capsule hotels. You have to leave your key at the front desk every time you leave and then pick it up when you return. You also have to leave the capsule beds from 10 AM to 3 PM every day when they do cleaning. There is only public bath and so some people may not be comfortable having to shower with other people. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would stay again if I come back to Kumamoto.

The female floor is very nice, feels safer and offers everything you need, including powder room and bathroom with all things included (shampoo, cleansing oil, hairdryer…). I recommend staying in the capsules that have a table, gives you more space and privacy. The public bath is also very nice and clean and a must.
The only inconvenient thing was that you have to check out at 10:00 every day, even if you are staying more nights, and then check in again at 15:00. However you can leave the luggage in your room and they clean it nicely.

The public bath was a very nice addition, with good toiletries. There was a bath around 40 degrees with both hot and cold taps; a cold dip bath; a vapor sauna and a (closed) stone sauna. There were also separate showers in the dormitory. Towels, pyjamas, hairbrush and toothbrush/paste are provided fresh each day. There was a locker large enough to fit a backpack in the private capsule, although if you stay multiple nights, you still return the key to the front desk when you leave between 10-3.
The quilt was a very small square. I had to sleep with it diagonal and choose whether I wanted my feet or my shoulders covered. The sheets were also quite scratchy. Although there is an eating room, nothing is provided except hot water and a microwave, so you'll need to bring your own cups, plates, cutlery etc.

Sauna, location, comfort, new towel everyday. The staff understood my request and changed my booking.
For the capsule bed, it's not explicitly mentioned that showers are not in individual cabins but in the public bath with other people without separation, so I had to change my booking to have more privacy. Having to check out and check in everyday, not being able to stay in the room from 10am to 3pm.

Classic Capsule hotel. Everything as expected. The staff were really amazing though. I forgot my laptop here before I went to Tokyo and the staff sent it by mail to my new hotel and it arrived in time before I left Japan! They also allow you to store your luggage at the reception if you are a bit too heavily packed for the classic capsule hotel experience. It's not locked away but in Japan that usually isn't really a problem. Overall, would definitely recommend if you need a quick and cheap place to stay.

I liked that they give you pajamas for your stay, as well as a towel and any toiletries you might need. The room was very clean, even though so many women stay withing the same room (each had their one capsule). The bathroom was directly connected to the room, which made it comfortable to not go through any corridors. The people at the reception desk were super nice!
Ecology-wise, would have been fine with using the same pajamas and towels for more then one night, as well as the towel and toothbrush. I furthermore, think it was bothersome to clean out the room every morning and bring my suitcases to the reception desk, to then bring up later on the day, when I came back to the hotel. Additionally. I think it is a bummer for tattooed people to not be able to use the public bath, however, I understand that that is a cultural issue, as well as combined with some governmental laws/restrictions.

Everything is very nice here, even the Powder room for the ladies. Japanese ladies spend a lot of time cleaning and treating their Faces. Staff, location, size of my Bunk room, the sauna, spa and pools to relax. The cleanness, wc, laundry, showers, security, laundry. Lovely Mattress!!!! I catched the A Red Tram outside of the train station, was 15 minutes ride to the Hotel. Close to City Hall Mall Cost ¥180 per ride. There are 2 trams The A RED B BLUE depends were you go.
No Kitcken facilities to cook Has a nice big room to eat, only with a Small Microwave and a Urn for hot water. Not a Sitting Room to relax over a Cup of Tea. We can not eat on the Bunk Rooms. This is a BIG HOTEL It can be Provide more facilities .

Great location staff really nice and friendly
They only have a public bath which wasn't an issue but they don't allow tattoos and there is no other option to wash. I did speak to the receptionist and they allowed me to use the bath and showers the first night. This is more of a warning to anyone looking to stay here who has tattoos and wants to shower

Hotel staff kind Central position, 15 mins away on foot from Sakuramachi bus terminal Central for restaurants and night life They have a onsen ^^ They helped me when we needed medicines They let us use the facilities on 3rd floor due to an emergency situation at work It is clean It is so cheap for the quality offered that imho, if you wanna travel and save money, it is a must
I m taller than 1.90m, so I had some pain in the morning in those beds You have to keep your backpack either in the capsule with you or in the lockers, but for men they are on 1st floor No facilities on common area such as paper glasses or other amenities, but you can get hot water there No showers on men's floors No English speaking staff (but they will help you in any possible way, so I would recommend that place)
