The check in staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Our room was lovely, clean, well appointed and very comfortable. We had the Japanese breakfast which was delicious and the staff there were most attentive and respectful. We had the Western breakfast buffet which was plentiful, also delicious and the staff were also excellent. The concierge ladies were always happy and smiling and most willing to help us at all times. The hotel is very well located. It is a short walk to the castle, it is in the same building as the Art Gallery, it is directly across the road from one of the shopping arcades and just next to the other one. There are more food and eating places than you could eat at if you spent a whole year here! The tram stop is right here as is the bus stop.

nothing as far as the hotel goes. It is a great place to stay Only thing one has to know is that if you are coming or leaving from the train station, you would need to take a cab to or a tram for 8 stops. The station is not within walking distance.

Excellent location, perfect walking distance to most eateries, shopping, and the castle. The room was fairly large and had a great view of the castle. Breakfast could have had a wider or different spread, unfortunately, both days we stayed had the same spread. The food otherwise was good.

Not much activities for kids in this hotel as its great and excellent for businessmen. Kids, on the other hand are not so lucky. no swimming pool or kids clubs or activity rooms.

An excellent, strategic location in front of the tram and bus stop (including the bus from/to the airport) and next to cultural/shopping centers. Just a several minutes walk to Kumamoto Castle and a 15-min. tram ride to the beautiful garden (Suizenji Jojuen). The staff are very kind and helpful, the interior is elegant (+ a cute Kumamon decoration at the foyer).

Restaurants close quite early (last order 19:30). When you wish to dine later, you would need to go somewhere in the city, which could be difficult. Fortunately, the dining area in the shopping mall in front of the hotel is open till 23:00.

Loved the location. Close to everything. Staff is ever so ready to help and utterly polite too! Rooms a bit small but clean and well thought out. A special mention to A Yamada who spoke excellent English to understand our dilemma. We received notification from JAL that our domestic flight the next day was cancelled. She helped us with our re-booking. Very detailed and meticulous. Couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely stay again if ever passing by Kumamoto.

Very convenient location near the shopping arcade. Variety of dining options nearby. Friendly staff. Generally proficient in English. Although breakfast cut of time was 930am, they were kind to allow guests who arrived later to have breakfast. Carpark at the basement was convenient. It is also fairly near the Kumamoto Castle.

I found the bed comforters were too warm, this meant that I either had to make the airconditioning temperature colder, or turn off the airconditioner and not use the comforter.

The rooms are very comfortable but the Blankets are too thick and we overheated even after cooling the room. The thick carpets probably harbored dust mites and it triggered a nasal allergy in my child. However, we are very grateful to cleaning staff who gave our room an extra vacuum and all was well for the rest of our stay

The hotel is located right nearby the Shimotori Shopping Arcade, making shopping and eating a no worry moment. The hotel is also within viewing distance to Kumamoto Castle though to go there, the entrance is on the opposite side of the castle park. The staff were friendly and nice. They even use a translator to answer some of our more elaborate queries about Kumamoto. In all, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel.

The staff. They were so helpful and so kind in assisting me in making reservations as well as making recommendations for the area. This is one of the most important components of a stay. Location was excellent for sightseeing. Room was comfortable and had a wonderful view of the castle.

The room was a little smaller than I expected but was laid out. Breakfast buffet could’ve had a little more variety but was overall very good.

Location is perfect, just at the lively zone. A lot of shopping mall around hotel. The metro station is just in front of the hotel and you can travel easily. Kumamoto Castle is just close to the hotel, can just walk to it.

Breakfast is a bit expensive but you can just go convenient store like 7-11 to choose what you like and want.

The hotel feels grand and new. Staffs make you feel like VIP. They even help us to wipe our luggage’s on the day of arrival and it was drizzling. In the evening, while we were doing wefie in the lobby, the porter came over and offered to take pictures. From the room we have a clear view of Kumamoto castle. The location is on the shopping street.

No laundry room, pool, gym, public bath.
