The Hotel is a brand new one, contemporary internal design masterpiece, located right within the central Rail station complex and linked with multi storey shopping mall, with large food hall spreading over an entire top floor, great Sushi bar, we had our dinner there, the bus station is right in front of the hotel where you can take pre-booked daily scheduled bus to Takachiho Gourge. The reception having full height window showing an amazing view of the mountain, with mixed contemprory Japanese interials, the room was amazing and the staff where so dedicated to provide help, one of the reception staff helped us calling a Taxi to Takachiho, when we booked wrong date for the bus. We wish that we spend more than one night in the hotel, will go back again

A nice value for the price. This hostel is made for western people (large bath, not hard matresse and pillow with the small balls combo...ect). As a minor drawback there is not a lot of electric outlet and they are not greatly placed in the room. We also got the women bath code but we were two males. The personal is great and well english spoken. The view in the room suxx, but you can get a nice one from the hotel lobby, especialy at night. Its good that everyrthing is on the same floor and the bath is decent. The buffet is nice and not so cheap so it could help. Its too expensive tho. As a side note, we booked during hanami season and there were a lot of those customer visiting as 50 in a bus if you catch my drift. Viva kumamon!

This was the most gorgeous and incredible hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in! I booked this for a trip with my parents and we didn't want to leave. The beautiful hospitality, rooftop views, onsen, spacious (stunningly decorated) rooms, being adjoined with AMU Plaza, and the incredible views of rolling green hills coupled with being next to the JR station, made a stay that truly exceeded our wildest expectations. Every single staff member was so lovely, hospitable, and truly helped us so much throughout our stay - whether it was answering questions, helping us forward our luggage onwards (big thank you to Honda-san for this!), or recommending places to eat. Truly felt like a 5-⭐️ hotel with exceptional service and the most incredible stay in Kumamoto. 10/10 recommend for centrality, especially being connected to AMU Plaza shopping centre (with lots of restaurants), and the JR station being directly downstairs - so convenient. We'll absolutely be back!

Just beside Kumamoto station! :) The staff are so friendly, and went the extra mile to ensure that whatever queries I had were satisfactorily answered ! The rooms were clean and was a little more spacious than other hotels in Japan as well! They also have a free public bath, which helped me relax after a long day of travel! The hotel is also on top of a shopping center, that offers a variety of food choices, shopping options, as well as for those TCG hobbyists, a trading card shop (C Labo) The hotel offers guests a discounted parking fee if you drive and choose to park at the shopping center's basement carpark!

The breakfast was delicious, included many healthy foods, and the restaurant provided a magnific view of the city. The staff was super friendly, and the service was truly awesome. Would return as many times as possible. Truly enjoyed our stay.

Despite the many options, for those who stay longer (we stayed for 3 nights), the breakfast could be a bit overbearing as there are no changes to the menu/food being served. If they could change the menu so the breakfast is not the same every day, that would be great. The booking system (booking.com) could as well be checked. I booked for 2 people, but when the confirmation came, it had come for 1 person only. I then contacted—emailed—the hotel, and they helped me fix the situation.

Parking can be onsite (underground in AMU Plaza) but the Y1k/night rate is based on not taking the car out at all during the stay, else each entry/exit will cost Y1K. If taking the car out, parking will be at adjacent train/parking lot building, near but not as convenient as the hotel’s underground parking. Given that, we chose to just park at an outdoor public carpark opposite (just across a small road)that charged a cheaper rate.

The Blossom Kumamoto is most accessible from Kumamoto Station and connects to the mall. It’s Front Office is very picturesque, with mountains of Kumamoto as backdrop. FO staff has good command of the english language, making communication less difficult. They are not shy to greet guests passing to and fro. Upon inquiry, staff recommended “Liebe” as “steak place,” and we had a blast! Steak was very good and not expensive, allowing us to bring our own wine upon payment of minimal corkage…bravo! The hotel is very secured with a big main door that requires guests’ keycards to open it and an elevator that automatically sets guests to their respective floors. Rooms have separate toilet and bath, well-provided with amenities/toiletries and it is possible to open the window to let Kumamoto’s cool winter breeze (brrrrr🥶) in. There are english-speaking channels available and coffee at the lounge is free-flowing.

My husband and I had lots of fun and, the hotel being very comfortable, were able to have adequate rest after days of gallivanting in Kumamoto. Thank you and looking forward to returning to Kumamoto.

The public bath is quite nice to have, and there is a shower in our room if we're feeling a bit shy. The location is great, right next to the shinkansen / JR line, busses and trams. The hotel is also located in a mall so you can do some shopping or get groceries very easily. The shops do seem to close around 8-9pm but there's a family mart nearby for any amenities you might need. For the price we paid, this place was absolutely worth it. We would come again to Kumamoto city just to stay here.

Not much to dislike, but the fitness room could use some more exercise equipment / weights.

The Blossom Kumamoto is the 3rd JRK property I've stayed at. The front desk is set in front of a beautiful landscape backdrop - it's a very special touch. I wanted to give a special mention to the service staff here - they are all extremely polite, warm and welcoming whenever we bumped into them. Thank you all very much. Parking is extremely convenient - you just have to find the entrance to the basement carpark which has a direct lift to the hotel front desk. Location is superb, it's above AMU Plaza which has good dining and retail options and is right next to the JR station.

Not sure if it's just isolated to my room, but the shower water temperature was not consistent on more than one occasion. Would have been fine if it was summer but it does get chilly in winter.

This is my second time returning to this hotel. Location: Love it, just around the corner of Kumamoto station. Environment: lots of restaurants and shopping in the vicinity Transportation: There are car rentals; buses, Trams, trains. Make your pick. Facilities: there is public bath (men and women separated); free nespresso coffee outside the bath area. Bed: too soft for my liking but still not too bad Bathroom: Clean and neat.. shower pressure was great Breakfast: Japanese style, mix of western. Great selection. There is connecting lift to the shopping mall. Always happy to be back when i am in Kumamoto. Love the convenient.
