At first we were surprised to find that the bunk room we reserved for a few days (family of 8) was not closed off at the ceiling to next room. We had to sign an agreement to whisper and to not eat in our room. We wondered if our 6 kids (ages 7-18) could handle these requirements, but they LOVED the room. They each had their own bunk bed with a privacy curtain, along with a personal locker to put their backpacks. The separate men's/women's bath & shower rooms were very clean. Fresh towels and pjs were provided. The laundry room and common area were also very clean and orderly. All the other people staying followed expectations and were very friendly. We liked that it was located just across the street from Kumamoto Station and a lot of food options.

The hotel is located right in front of the station which you can access by a bridge. The hotel is located on the ground floor. I was surprised by the lobby because it really looks like a fancy hotel. The women bathroom was quite large, clean and very well furnished. The rooms were quite small but well furnished and clean. I was kind of worried that I would be disturbed by the noise during the night because it is a semi private room but most of the guests are here for business purposes, so it is very quiet.

Conveniently located right opposite Kumamoto station and bus terminal. Pretty standard, no frills hostel. Essential amenities were provided and bathroom/shower area was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Minor inconvenience during check in: Arrived early and wanted to drop my luggage but there was no staff at the reception, had to wait a short while for a staff to come out. Can be noisy at night as the bed is shared with the adjacent room, earplugs are recommended.

The staff was super friendly, and everything was very clean. Within the lobby there are nice and comfy places to chill, talk, and work. My room itself was small, but practically compact. Furthermore, the restrooms were nicely shaped and very tidy.

Even though everything was clean, and the restrooms were nice, the shower rooms seemed a little "cheap". Don't get me wrong, it was clean, but it didn't fit into the rest of the ambiance within the hotel. It was also quite noisy at night. I slept in a lot of capsule hotels, but this was another level in terms of shared noises, since the sleeping sections weren't too separated. But that's fine, in some way. More annoying was the constant noise of the ventilation system or whatever it was. Maybe my room was unluckily positioned, but that thing was really noisy

not typical hotel with dormitory rooms. good clean and convenient to stay. would love to stay for more if given the time

nothing really, but would love if the hotel would accept to hold on our baggage/backpack even after checkout. an example: check out is at 10am but i still need time to to finish another 2 spots around kumamoto. hence if you can hold for us, we didnt need to pay for locker room anymore

If you're just staying one night to rent a car in the morning, or maybe to take an early train elsewhere, it's in a great location, right across the street from Kumamoto station. The room I rented is a cute little capsule with enough floor space to open luggage, and it has a comfy bed, and full sized locker for clothing and valuables.

There is no ceiling above any of the beds, so sound and light travels across the entire dorm area (bring earplugs and eye mask). The showers were a little dirty too, they probably need a deep clean, especially the shower controls. Aside from the overpriced options inside Kumamoto station, you have to travel downtown for food, and shopping. The only convenience store nearby are the Family Marts inside the station, so if you prefer 7-Eleven or Lawson you will have to travel a bit.

2 minutes from JR Kumamoto Station. The room is very spacious and the individual beds are spread out, with safe and capacious lockers. There are plenty of sinks and showers, so you don’t need to line up. The toilets and showers are spotlessly clean. Free toiletries are provided at no extra charge. The common area on the ground floor is also lovely.

Not a bad word can be said about the hotel

It’s so close to Kumamoto Station and there is privacy… The staff was excellent, patiently Helped me book the Bus online to Mount Aso… Thank you!

Although it’s in the notice Shenton we check in, it was not mentioned on the Booking.com App that we have to be very quiet. I felt a Little stressed just doing the simple Stuff n Trying to keep really quiet but everyone was cooperative…

To start off, it was literally across the street from Kumamoto Station: perfect! There is also a FamilyMart in the station so it's really close. The facilities are great, you get free loungewear, one towel a day and slippers. Shampoo, soap, conditioner, earplugs and a hairdryer are there for free use. The room is honestly more like a hotel room than a capsule, although it has no separated ceiling so you can hear everyone quite loudly as if it were a capsule. Nevertheless, amazing value for money!

The blankets were a little short. I'm 1.70m and my feet would get out if I stretched out.

close to the train station and bus stop for travel to sights like Takachiho, Aso, Kurosawa. our cubicle for 4 persons was comfortable, beds were good, had good sleeps there. Locker was of good size and useful. Good no. of shared toilet and shower facilities, never had to wait to use, were clean and airy. Towels can be changed daily; they provided daily even when we didn't need them.

Common dining facilities a little inadequate, could be crowded if many guests have to use them at the same time. Would be good to have proper tables and chairs for dining in. Though the room was comfortable, free floor area was small. We could only open up 2 luggages at a time. Hostel has a strict noise control policy (no ceiling for each room). Had to sign a form to agree to keep noise down. May not be suitable for families with lively kids.
