Funky cool design, great modern design with strong Japanese influence. Individual room designs, would be curious to stay in other rooms in the future.. Futuristic QR code door keys. Small boutique hotel vibe. Clean and new. Great toiletries and very soft water.

Despite window facing the street it was completely frosted/opaque so no view, no idea about the weather outside. Felt trapped. Bathroom was tiny to the point of being unpleasant/difficult to use.  Wasn't initially given a QR code so check-in was difficult, but friendly staff resolved quickly. Hotel has almost zero amenities, no lounge or communal areas, doesn't offer breakfast and has no food or snack offerings for purchase, and was far from Lawson 7/11 restaurants etc.  Coming from the station at night we were abit daunted by the area being industrial and sterile, but warmed up to the charms of the historic neighbourhood to the south and east in daylight the next morning. If the price is right all of the above could probably be overlooked.

It was clean, beds were good and although not right in the center of the city close to transportation. The hotel is in a former red light district with interesting old houses. The bathroom was modern and had good plumbing and the room was creatively decorated although the idea of 12 TVs is rather whacky. We unplugged them because it can't be healthy to have all those rays on you all night...

We stayed for 5 nights and the rooms don't get made up. Just trash and towels. The front desk is only minimally manned. The rooms are really small, although that is pretty much the norm in Japan.

Air conditioner was very cold even in the hottest September month. Room was very spacious, unique, plenty of storage, and in unit bathroom. They will hold luggage past your checkout time, and the staff are very kind.

Between the station and accommodation is an active industrial site with heavy equipment moving around. The front desk was also unmanned much of the time, which made asking to hold luggage somewhat difficult. While I appreciate their contactless systems, I do think that in this case it can also be a hindrance.

A nice little hotel and the room had much more space than I initially thought. Our stay was very comfortable, the bed was huge and comfortable. The amenities were very nice and the staff did daily cleaning and towel changes. The hotel is close to the Tambaguchi Station if you need to use the train, and it's only about 2 stops from Kyoto Station. We enjoyed our stay and had didn't really have any issues with our room.

No microwave, so be prepared beforehand if you want to heat up some food. The staff also couldn't help us deliver our luggage to our next hotel stay.

The room was very big and the staff is friendly. There are free amenities in the lobby. The neighborhood is very calm and not crowded at all (mostly residential) and I highly recommend to relax each night at the onsen nearby (only 100m from the hotel), it is fantastic and a real local experience (the restaurant is also very nice and not expensive)

There was dust in the room and unfortunately the carpet was not very clean. The coffee machine didn’t work. The location is “ok” but not great, especially given that the transport network in Kyoto is not the best (if you want to visit Gion for example it will take you 45mins)

I loved the room themes and how they made use of the space. Ut felt like there was a lot of room. It was cool having a QR code key but it was a bit humbug at times. The location is so convenient, right by the station and theres a 7eleven nearby. The bathroom is also amazing. The shower is bigger than some I've been to. The customer service is amazing. This hotel is trying to be more electronic only but the front desk staff came out quickly to help. They do not have TAQBIN but 7eleven nearby does have that service.

I'm not the biggest fan of the QR key code ans the button to press to open the door.

The room was so spacious, much larger than almost everywhere else we stayed during our Japan trip. The bathroom was amazing and I loved that we didn't need to use a key to enter/exit. The use of a QR code on our phones was absolutely ingenious. The location is so quiet and peaceful too, we had absolutely no issues falling asleep.

If i'm being really picky, the beds were pretty firm, but that's the norm in Japan so I have no right to complain! There wasn't a single other thing I could fault.

Nice little hotel located a few minutes away from the Tambaguchi station, which we used often to travel in Kyoto. Although we didn't see much of the staff they all seemed nice. The room was spacious enough, with a window (not all rooms have that), and a huge bed.

The tap in the bathroom only had warm water if the shower was on at the same time. There was some info about "hot water taking some time" but in our experience it just never came, unless you turned on the shower. This was kind of a hassle, but we managed. It also seems like the walls aren't very thick, or maybe we were just really unlucky with our next door neighbors. Also, the trash wasn't taken out during our stay, even though we got an endless supply of fresh towels even when we clearly didn't need them, so we know people had been there.

Super central location, felt safe and out of the way, but was literally around the corner from anything we could need. I loved the new door locks that require a QR code to open; super easy to use and completely eliminated the typical fumble for the room key thing you always do when returning to the room. This place was modern, clean, comfortable, and well-staffed. Our flight ended up arriving us into Kyoto very late (think after midnight), but I was able to stay in communication with them the whole time we were traveling and they made sure someone was there to greet us when we finally arrived. She didn't speak much English but she was so sweet and kind and made us feel welcome after a very long journey.

This is not a judgement of the hotel or even the country, but I am a relatively tall individual and while the ceilings were a great height, the room itself is just a touch small for me to comfortably move around in (esp the shower/bathroom).
