It was easy to collect the door key code at the check in office. The staff was very helpful with our bags and even helped arrange a taxi to the apartment. The apartment was very clean and was just the Japanese style place we were looking for in Kyoto. It’s also convenient to walk to shops and restaurants.

It would be nice to have a couple folding chairs available if guests want to use them. After a long day of walking it would’ve been nice to get them out instead of sitting on the floor. We did enjoy the Japanese style table, but a couple times it would’ve been nice to have another option after walking all day, especially for older guests.

This property was exceptional. Beautifully set out, amazing location and close to everything. It was great to be able to check in and leave the bags at reception and begin exploring without having to wait for the room. Reception were also the best we have experienced being so kind and patient assisting us with finding the hotel and booking a restaurant for my sons 20th birthday. And the washing machine was a holiday must.

Beautiful construction and internal furnishing work, almost entirely wood or tatami mat flooring. The amenities were pristine, shower/bath was excellent and the beds were super comfortable and classic. The apartment has an amazing ambiance. It's surprisingly large once you actually get inside and with four people there was no problem moving around and relaxing. The area is very walkable and even though its right next to Gion its still quiet most of the time in terms of road noise, its kind of like a retreat from the city.

Shower. Water was lukewarm and it worked on a very short timer so you had to keep hitting a button to get water.

The beds and pillows were quite uncomfortable.

check in on the other side of town. very unconvenient. not enough heating and the bathroom was freezing. hair dryer is not good. no hoover. no closet. (all closets were locked) no blinds in bedrooms!
