This hotel is great for short stays. The rooms are well equipped, but when you are travelling with large bags the room can seem quite small. The bed is also quite low, resembling a futon, so can be difficult to get out of after long days of 20k+ steps. It was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well. The front desk staff also forwarded our luggage to our next hotel, which was a huge bonus. The hotel is very well located, and only a few minutes walk from some wonderful sights and shopping areas.

As mentioned when you have multiple large bags, the space in the room can feel a little small.

Very good location in the center of Gion district with many restaurants around and near some of the tourists spots and the shopping streets (Kawaramachi, Teramachi…). Also close to bus stops (including the one that goes to Kinkakuji) and subway station (Keihan Line, Tozai Line and Hankyu Line on the other side of the bridge) A good room with a touch of traditional style, not that big but well organized and clean with very good coffee and other hotel necessities (including a skincare set).

Brilliant location, especially if you like wandering around. Also, it was super clean and the separate bathroom /toilet set up in my room was very practical. Overall a very comfortably stay at a great place . Washing machines were very handy too!

Not really a dislike, but the rooms are typically compact. So you just have to adjust. If you’re doing work, there’s no chsir/desk But my improvised stand-up was very effective!

The location is close to all the excitement and tradition of Gion but quiet. The laundry room is a good addition a few automatic, detergent dispersing, washer dryers 4x 100y coins. The room was well laid out and well equipped, The size is reasonable once you have adjusted to Japanese room dimensions! Met all needs and felt safe. A Lawsons almost next door with helpful staff.

Very convenient location, right next to Lawson's as well. Staff was very helpful. Washing machines give you options to wash and dry for 500yen and takes about 2 hours. Overall aesthetic was nice and homey. I got the room with the tatami floor mats and was happy with it. Shower had ample space.

I did wish that they provided us with a table or some sort of small desk for us to use but we still did good without it and provided the room mightve been too small to fit one.

Beautiful, new rooms. All tastefully decorated. The location is excellent. You can walk to the most popular tourist attractions of Gion. At night this street transforms- suddenly open bars, clubs, lots of people, and lively activity. During the day, everything is very calm.

this is a very busy place in Kyoto. We stayed in another Kyoto hotel closer to the city centre, in a residential area, so the sudden rush of Gion people, especially in the restaurant streets, didn't seem so disturbing. I'm glad we had both these experiences not just this one.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room had everything we needed. The location was great — during our almost week-long stay, we only used public transport to get to Nara and the bamboo forest; we did everything else on foot. There are plenty of things to see in the area — I believe we could have spent a few more days here and still not seen everything we wanted to.

The location was great and the checkin was easy and smooth even though we booked last-minute. We got fresh water and towels everyday, as well as sleeping masks, face wash and such, so it was very comfortable. There was also a fridge and tea provided.

The bathroom was humid after a shower, but we didn’t understand how to get rid of it so it left a bit of a musky smell, but nothing bad.

In a great location, walking distance to gion-shijo station and despite being close to busy areas, bars and restaurants it was very quiet. Staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The room had great aesthetics and was peaceful. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on in Japan.

The room was small - it was not a problem for me as a solo traveller but would not have had room for luggage for more than one person.

Really liked the style of the room, it was a bit modern mixed with Japanese heritage, such as the 'bedroom' part of the room was elevated and had tatami like flooring. Also liked that the toilet and bath was separate. The bathroom also had a 'dryer' setting, so after washing our clothes in the laundry, we hung our clothes in the bathroom for a fuller dry.

Not a lot of washing machines available and they are dual with dryers, so it didn't completely dry our clothes.
