I loved the location, it`s close to famous destinations - 15 mins walk! Also it`s close to subway and bus stops. Rooms are very clean and comfortrable. I loved the interior as well:) drinking water as a service was a big plus!

you have to pay extra tax when you check-in because it`s Kyoto city. No cleaning service, only if you pay extra money for that.

The staff was very nice, especially the lady that checked me in. The location is perfect for most things in the city. It is close to bus stops and (with a little walk) the subway lines. I had no issue sightseeing. The room was nice and clean. The water pressure was very strong.

The Kyoto tourism tax being added onto the booking I already paid for was a shock to me. I wish they would just include that in the booking price. I also didn't like that room cleaning/towel exchange cost a fee even if you were staying multiple nights. I also didn't like that the bed was an old school King bed made from two separate mattresses and frames as they kept separating while I was sleeping.

We absolutely loved staying here. It’s such a great location! Close to the geisha district and tourist hotspots! The food at the hotel was delicious and the staff were so lovely! We wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again or recommending it to anyone! Room was the biggest we had on our travels (could have both our suitcases opened on the floor) and the beds/pillows were on the comfier side for Japanese accomodation.

Great size rooms attractively decorated with modern amenities. Right on the edge of Gino, so a great location.

Breakfast options were limited and often overstretched staff also working front desk was not there to refill empty sections. Front desk staff not consistent in training and ability to deal with foreigners. Some were very good, helpful, but we had a few who weren’t very courteous or able/willing to helo. Management should work on better training.

Really cute boutique hotel with a very decent breakfast. Rooms were large with a big bed which was a treat. Right in the gion district, which is very convenient for night walking tours and the nearby shrine.

It was about a 10min walk to the nearest train station which is quite a bit for a vacation with a lot of walking. In the end we didn’t mind. Area is full of cute bars & restaurants.

Location was excellent! Small boutique hotel right by the main sights and easy access to metro. Room size was a bit larger than we experienced in Tokyo so that was a plus. Basic but clean!

The bathroom was way too small for even 1 person. Was like a manufactured pre-fab box with a very low ceiling g compared to the room. Free Breakfast was very limited but we appreciated the coffee.

The location was great, walking distance to the temples (Gion and Higashiyama). The room size was decent and it was very clean. We lacked some amenities but overall we had a good experience. We did not use the restaurant so cannot provide any feedback.

The communication with the reception staff was not really the best. Their level of English was not as expected. They tried to help as much as possible.

Location location location! This place is so convenient. We were near everything. The staff was also super nice!

The bathroom was tiny. Almost seemed like it was a kit that was put together in the room as an after thought but it did the job. Really, wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Just a hotel. No frills.

The hotel has an ideal location, on the edge of Gion but out of the fray. Walking distance to some of the most beautiful temples and shrines. The folk at the front desk are incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms are lovely, with a nice size and warm decor.

I would have liked to see the hotel’s restaurant offer more variety on the dinner menu.
