Nice, clean, spacious and decorated in a stylish Kyoto way (but modern). Very friendly and helpful stuff. Really enjoyed staying there :)

Very well located hotel with very spacious rooms that are very nicely furnished. A very good breakfast, with Western and Asian ingredients. Very nice staff

The only thing missing was the spa - the hotel opened in September and we stayed there a few days after the opening. The spa will open in a month… we were a little disappointed as it was not written on a website that the spa is not yet available.

prime location, very comfortable room and bed. staff extremely friendly and helpful, from the check in to the bar lounge to the breakfast! top stay overall would highly recommend

This little bit of paradise was absolutely perfect! It was in such a nice location that we did not allow time for but when we go back we will definitely schedule a day to explore the area. Kamo River is so close and I didn't even know it! The staff were so helpful even when my room was not quite yet ready (the lobby was packed). I waited on a very comfy bench that faced the huge windows and the lovely front desk staff came to me (like less than 10 minutes later) to tell me my room was ready. I have never had that experience in America. Anyway, the lobby is immaculate, so welcoming, beautifully designed with blonde wood, slats for days (sorry if that's not what they're called) and just a beautiful aesthetic all around. It's a very modern hotel with touches of Japanese aesthetic beauty. The guest room itself was absolutely beautiful. It felt so nice, clean and the design of the water closet and showering area were just *boom* mind blowing. I loved it all. We reserved this hotel after we were not too impressed with the apartment we had reserved. We just cut our losses and stayed somewhere that just felt 100 times better. I LOVED this place so much, I told my husband that this was our wedding anniversary home base for the next however many years we come back to Japan. I hope for the next 50 years...okay, maybe 30. We're no spring chickens. Even if you stay here one night, try it out. It is really a luxury feel for the senses. And the beds were soooo comfortable!

It was on the pricier side but the beauty and comfort made our stay worth it. Other than that I can't think of anything negative. What a wonderful staff!

Great location. Great, professional staff. The room was also bigger than expected.

Noise and views. There was construction next to the hotel so it was noisy from around 8 am. The view of the construction site was also unpleasant. The alternative was street view which however also comes with street noise. My initial room was actually street facing and I asked to be moved because of the noise. (On this, my room change amounted to a downgrade l and there was no adjustment in cost. I didn’t like that. I eventually got a complimentary breakfast after some conversation, and I didn’t like having to have a conversation about this).

There's room for improvement in the breakfast service provided by staff to replenish items, or simple things like placing an order for a coffee

The room was spacious and offered all amenities one could hope for. The executive lounge was a nice space to relax, get recommendations and plan the next excursions. The central location of the hotel helped us to get the most out of our time in Kyoto. The staff was helpful, multilingual and had great food recommendations for us.

The breakfast was delicious and offered a nice balance of Japanese and Western choices. Unfortunately, it was overcrowded which led to longer waiting times to get a table, find cutlery, have the table cleared etc.
