This is a spacious, clean apartment in the heart of Gion, Kyoto. It is close to temples, walking streets, great restaurants, and shopping. The host was so sweet and helpful when we needed anything (umbrellas, extra toilet paper, etc). She was friendly and helped us with the buses and getting around. The place is also next to a 7-11 and Lawsons so it is easy to get snacks as well.

My husband and daughter are tall and kept hitting their heads on the front door (which is suitable for people shorter than 5'10'. It is not a big deal but just be careful.

Location is pretty great, right next to the tourist streets leading up to Kiyomizudera and just a short while from Kyoto station. The facilities are all clean, tatami room was a nice experience, and bathroom was also clean albeit a little cramped for both toilet and shower. Staff received us, instructed us on check-in, and helped take our stuff up. There's no elevator but thankfully our room was on the second floor.

As a couple who have left their doggo at home staying somewhere that the owner had a furry friend we could adopt for our stay was a lovely bonus. The owner herself was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. The apartment was spacious, clean and had all of the facilities you need. The kitchen diner was a welcome space and the tatami room was clean and fresh. The balcony was a pleasant treat and the face we had a whole apparent was a welcome break from boxy hotel rooms. Location wise you can't choose better, walking distance from many points of interest, on a main road with access to restaurants and public transport ( not that you'd know in your apt) The secret winner for us was the roof terrace. Although designed as a dog run, it is clean and spacious. The seating and views are really nice. You can see several shrines from the roof and we were lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunrise from here. For dog owners, they accommodate your dogs well, you can see the care she has to make their stay as comfortable as yours. If you are traveling without dogs you won't know that dogs are welcome. Highly recommended

The bathroom was incredibly small. Airplane size. If you’re above average size you simply will not fit. Sitting on the toilet, your knees touch the door. There is a shower next to the toilet of very similar size. Also, futons are not for everyone.

Spacious apartment in a great location. Comfy bed. Quiet. We had the ground floor apartment and the balcony wasn't really a balcony and I had to walk through my son's room for the bathroom but that was all fine. I did need to ask for and pay extra for a single futon bed for my son but once we worked it out it was no problem.. great location for walking to nishiki market and the cute touristy shops of Kyoto. We only used public transport to get to Nara

The location was perfect in Gion. The hosts were very accommodating and was super easy to check in and out. We had a kitchenette and plenty of space.

The hotel is located on one of the main street in Kyoto so it was a little noisy at night with cars going past and single glazing windows! I still slept fine but remember to bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper

The location is perfect, it has a view of different sights, a bus stop right across the street and so many places in walking distance. The place is very comfortable and homey feeling. Also the host is very nice and helpful as well. Great pet friendly features too.

Only negative was walking up 4 flights with luggage and dog.

Big clean apartment. The location is on the edge of Gion near some of the bigger temples and has a busstop at 20 meters from the building. Also nearby is an underground station.

Nothing worth mentioning.

The Location is in Gion and many nice streets and Bars are close by. Shopping opportunities are right around the corner. Self-check-in and -out worked great (you need a smart phone, wifi is available there) The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bus-stop ist right in front of the hotel.

Subway and train station is a bit of a walk. At night it is a bit noisy because it is right next to the main street. Nothing too loud, but if you are a light sleeper it might disturb your night sleep.
