The location of the hotel was very walkable and close to temples, restaurants and bus lines. Bigger than average room for a Japanese hotel. The room included a small refrigerator and kitchenette.

I didn't like having a separate place to register my stay. It was easy to find the building where I checked in for my stay, then a shuttle was arranged to transport me and two others to the location of our hotel in Gion which was about 15 minutes away. It was organized, but a little inconvenient. Note - A friend was traveling from another city and meeting me later at the hotel. I needed to have their passport, home address and contact information to check into the room. Luckily I was able to contact my friend and get the information. Have these details ready before your arrival!

The location of the hotel is very good. You can even walk to the central streets and temples. The location of the office where you check in and the hotel are different, but this is not a problem. The office is very close to Kyoto central train station, within walking distance, and if you wish, they can take you to the hotel with free shuttle buses. It was comfortable, clean, quiet and beautiful. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. We had no problems.

Only the room was a little stuffy and dark. But it wasn't disturbing and it wasn't a problem for us.

The location of the hotel is EXCELLENT, right next to the Gion district and just a super short walk to the bus stop that will take you to Kyoto station and several famous shrines, so convenient! The Yakasa Pagoda is about a 6 min walk away so if you want to go early to beat the crowds this is the place to stay. The room was very clean but very small which is to be expected in Japan. We traveled with only one small carry on and that was all that fit in the room with us. If you travel with more luggage, I would recommend booking a larger room here. The great location and cleanliness more than made up for the small space. The bathroom is also equipped with a clothes dryer by using the bathroom vent, very ingenious! The room manual that is provided has the instructions on how to use it.

The bed was a little too firm for us and the room was a bit small but the location, cleanliness, safety, and luggage storage more than made up for that. The luggage is stored in the common area laundry room with a lock so if you are concerned about someone opening your luggage bring a lock. We stored our luggage there without one and had no problem but, of course, we made sure not to leave anything valuable.

This was an excellent apartment style hotel in the heart of the Gion / Higashiyama areas. Very close to a bus stop, convenience store, multiple quality dining options, and several sightseeing destinations. The room was average sized for the price but works for 2 people, especially if you pack light since they have easy to use washer/dryers. Having only codes to get in was super convenient, and although you have to check in off site, they offer a shuttle if you check in before 7pm. They communicated well regarding check-in and stayed a bit late for us, which was kind.

Could have used better instructions for getting to the check-in location from Kyoto station. They had 3 people working when we checked in, so it would have been nice if they'd offered to have someone meet us at the station to show us the way. The whole check-in process seemed unnecessarily complicated because they had someone on site who could have checked us in if we arrived after 8pm, so I'm not sure why we couldn't just do that in the first place, which would have saved us from walking with all of our luggage to the main check-in office.

Great location, out of the busy area of Kyoto but close enough to walk 10 mins. It had everything we needed and was very quiet for sleeping. There is a lift too, making it easy to get to the rooms. The bag storage options were very safe with a code for each bag, and convenient for us before and after check in and out. We felt very safe here as there are 2 code doors to enter the building. Everything was also very clean. Lots of dining and shopping options very close.

The dryers were very full of lint, there is a sign for users to empty the lint catcher. But maybe the cleaners should check it from time to time as it could be a fire hazard.

Super central location! Easy access, we got the furthest room from the main street but it's not that busy of a street (at least for someone coming from LA). They were able to store my luggage when sending it from Tokyo before my arrival which was great. The transportation from Kyoto station is a nice service too!

Room could've been cleaner, seemed like they did the basic cleaning but should be better on the small details (like a small hair ball on the ground from prior stay)

Very nice mini-apartment hotel with small kitchens in each room strategically located in Gion district, near to main tourist attractions. Staff was super nice and friendly ☺️ The structure also has a very useful self-service laundry inside! 👍🏻

Everything was perfect! The only thing is that the toilet/WC in our room was not working very well and maybe needs some maintenance (seating was not heating-up, bidet function was not working)

Check in near train station and shuttle to take us to the hotel. The location was perfect. Right in the middle of Gion, so all the temples and main areas were within 10 minutes walking each way. Felt very safe with needing two key codes to enter the building.

The luggage drop off didn't feel secure as it only chained our bags down. Another guest could walk in to the laundry room and unzip our bags. I wish they had an attendant, or let us leave it in our room or have lockers or something more secure.

The hosts were very friendly and accomodating of any needs during check in. The room felt plenty spacious for two and had all the necessities to cook, etc. The bed was comfortable and the keyless entry was easy. Location was very convenient for our needs. Good heating/cooling.

Having to check in off-site can be awkward depending on your plans. I couldn't get the induction stove to work despite following directions (could be a me problem since I've never used one before). Overall very minor complaints.

Prime location near the Gion district. They give you a free ride from the key collection area to the airbnb/hotel. The staff were accommodating and helped us somehow with our baggages.

I didn't expect it to have a different location to collect the keys though the location is really close to the Kyoto main station. A bit confusing to memorize the entrance key, then door key then another password 😂i had to picture it. We rented a non smoking room but it smells like smoke.
