When I booked, the price was on the lower side, so I expected a lower quality. In fact, my hotel room was very spacious for one person (especially compared to other hotels I have stayed in) and it was very clean. I even had a small sofa which was a nice touch. The wi-fi worked great so I could watch my favorite show online. I also enjoyed the onsen a lot. I will be in Kyoto again in a couple of months, so I tried to book a new room, but unfortunately it was filled up.

These are small details but I prefer having a small bar of soap for washing my hands. The hotel provides (I think) a body wash dispenser on the wall. Also, perhaps a reusable breakfast coupon system. I stayed for three breakfasts and had to keep asking for a new coupon. More variety in the breakfast would also be nice, but the food quality was fine considering the price and other conveniences.

This hotel was value for the money. The room was quite small, but then so are most in Japan so getting used to them. It is quite a large hotel with good facilities - onsen/sauna. The underground parking was a bonus, although quite expensive.

Location wise it was away from the main attractions of Kyoto, although within walking distance (15 minutes) south of Kyoto JR station. If it had not been so hot and humid, this would not have been such an issue. There weren’t many alternative eating options close by. The meals provided (dinner/breakfast) were ok, although there was no change in what was offered for the whole 4 nights I was there. Fresh fruit in the morning would have been great, although I am fully aware that such is very expensive in Japan.

This is a typical Japanese hotel serving, I would estimate, ~90% Japanese customers. I was even asked by another (Japanese) guest how I ended up at this hotel, which in his opinion was for Japanese. The room was rather small but had a comfortable bed and even a sofa. The food was clearly targeted to Japanese tastes which gave ne the opportunity to try some local food. For dinner there are two dishes to choose from. One is always a Japanese beef curry the ither one changes each day. There ist also a public bath with sauna, which is a great experience.

As mentioned, the food is (mainly) Japanese, which botherede a little at breakfast.

The room was bigger than what I was expecting. * There was a vending machine available and also a Lawson next door. * It was 20 minutes walking from the hotel to the Kyoto station. The subway was also an option. It was only 1 stop, but I had to walk around 10 minutes to get to the hotel. * The neighborhood is quite and calm.

* The hotel should also have an international breakfast or at least some basic products like: bread, cheese and ham, some fruits. I had only one breakfast there and preferred to eat something from Lawson (close to the hotel) or another store like 7-Eleven or FamilyMart.

The staff are very friendly and polite, the rooms and mattresses are comfortable, the location is also good. about +/- 15 minutes walk to Kyoto main station Breakfast and dinner are quite good but need improvement in terms of different food variations at least every 2 days changing the menu, so that guests don't get bored Unfortunately I didn't get to try the onsen baths so I can't comment

Overall is perfect. I stay one night there. Staff may have a limited of speak English but always respond. Room was clean and neat. I love the sauna. Also they provide breakfast and dinner which is rare nowadays. I actually like the location. It's opposite side from the downtown which is full of people, always busy there.

Walking 15 minutes from Kyoto station with luggage wasn't that easy. But, if you just go out and comeback then just fine.

The price was great for room and great that they include Breakfast and dinner. The room was good with a bathroom and included toiletries. They provide sleepwear and a bathhouse for guests to use a traditional japanese bathhouse experience. The place was very clean and the staff were very helpful.

The hotel is a 20min walk from the train station which is a little inconvenient if you have heavy or lots of luggage.

Excellent price to value ratio, walking distance to Kyoto main station, half board included - meals were of Japanese style, but even two vegetarians managed to find something for themselves. We arrived early in the morning and were able to store our luggage before checking in. The hotel provides you with a Japanese bath, but we didn't have time to check it out.

The open corridors were surprising, but it didn't have any adverse effect on the noise level or temperature in the room itself.

The hotel is relatively close to Kyoto station, and near a metro station. The temples in Kyoto are highly dispersed and it is convenient to have a metro station near. The hotel has an authentic Japanese sauna for free, I really enjoyed it. The hotel also offers unexpensive breakfast and dinner. Although some comments on these hotel were not good, my feeling was positive.

The check-in is a little slow and only from 4 pm.

The twin room was clean, and we were provided with fresh towels and nightwear. We were on a half board basis and found there was a good variety of food (slihtly limited for vegetarian main course), and a nice buffet breakfast.

There could be a better system rather than a 16.00pm check in that results in long queues, there could be no harm in opening earlier hence reducing the waiting time for people who have paid to stay.
