This is a typical Japanese hotel serving, I would estimate, ~90% Japanese customers. I was even asked by another (Japanese) guest how I ended up at this hotel, which in his opinion was for Japanese. The room was rather small but had a comfortable bed and even a sofa. The food was clearly targeted to Japanese tastes which gave ne the opportunity to try some local food. For dinner there are two dishes to choose from. One is always a Japanese beef curry the ither one changes each day. There ist also a public bath with sauna, which is a great experience.

As mentioned, the food is (mainly) Japanese, which botherede a little at breakfast.

* The staff was very kind and supportive. * Both the room and bed were very comfy. The room was bigger than what I was expecting. * There was a vending machine available and also a Lawson next door. * It was 20 minutes walking from the hotel to the Kyoto station. The subway was also an option. It was only 1 stop, but I had to walk around 10 minutes to get to the hotel. * The neighborhood is quite and calm.

* The hotel should also have an international breakfast or at least some basic products like: bread, cheese and ham, some fruits. I had only one breakfast there and preferred to eat something from Lawson (close to the hotel) or another store like 7-Eleven or FamilyMart.

The staff are very friendly and polite, the rooms and mattresses are comfortable, the location is also good. about +/- 15 minutes walk to Kyoto main station Breakfast and dinner are quite good but need improvement in terms of different food variations at least every 2 days changing the menu, so that guests don't get bored Unfortunately I didn't get to try the onsen baths so I can't comment

Excellent price to value ratio, walking distance to Kyoto main station, half board included - meals were of Japanese style, but even two vegetarians managed to find something for themselves. We arrived early in the morning and were able to store our luggage before checking in. The hotel provides you with a Japanese bath, but we didn't have time to check it out.

The open corridors were surprising, but it didn't have any adverse effect on the noise level or temperature in the room itself.

The hotel is relatively close to Kyoto station, and near a metro station. The temples in Kyoto are highly dispersed and it is convenient to have a metro station near. The hotel has an authentic Japanese sauna for free, I really enjoyed it. The hotel also offers unexpensive breakfast and dinner. Although some comments on these hotel were not good, my feeling was positive.

The check-in is a little slow and only from 4 pm.

The twin room was clean, and we were provided with fresh towels and nightwear. We were on a half board basis and found there was a good variety of food (slihtly limited for vegetarian main course), and a nice buffet breakfast.

There could be a better system rather than a 16.00pm check in that results in long queues, there could be no harm in opening earlier hence reducing the waiting time for people who have paid to stay.

Hotel breakfast and dinner menu is totally not upto the mark. Even they don't serve any fresh fruit juice or fruits. Rather hotel serve only flavour drinks. Even they supply unhealthy oil fried crispy food items in breakfast and dinner. Kitchen even not ready to supply boiled egg and pork free Muslim Halal foods.

The breakfast was great. The room was comfortable and the staff members were friendly and helpful.

There was a small mistake on the reservation that the hotel did not mention the extra city tax excluding. I am totally fine with paying the tax but I would like to got information before I arrived. The big bath was not available because of COVID. I did not know it before I checked-in. Again it is better to update all the information.

This is a great stay for those who are looking for value rather than luxury. The room was small, but well equipped. Breakfast and dinner were included, the meals were basic but good. It was much better than I expected for the price, a great value if you aren't looking for a luxury experience.

Idk why somebody can rate it lower than 9,5. But for This money, amazingly value of benefits. I paid 23€ and receive: - Small but my own clean room with own shower and big bad. - super location - Really tasty and FREE breakfast and dinner .
