The hotel is about 20 minutes on foot from Kyoto Station, but around 8 minutes to the nearest subway station. It's only one stop on the subway from Kyoto Station. The rooms were small, but very cute! Each room has a record player and one record. You can check-out vinyls from downstairs as well. Breakfast was decent! They let you choose from a waffle or a bagel, and then you choose the other things yourself. My colleague and I LOVED the free ice cream every night. It was amazing.

Everything was fine at the hotel. I couldn't figure out how to turn the A/C on in my room (the remote was there, and I pushed the buttons, but I may not have pushed the correct buttons). All that to say the room was a little warm at night, but not a big deal!

The staff were really warm and helpful at the desk and the ice cream was delicious! The rooms had fantastic working air conditioning with dehumidification, cooling and varied accessible modes. The shower soaps, shampoo and conditioner were incredible for my hair (curly) as they had no sulphates according to the website; and they smelled lovely. The in room rental records were so fun to listen to and change! The local train station (Kujo) was very near and linked to Kyoto station and other tourism spots.

The pillows may be hard for some, not particularly me though. The room gets steamy easily.

The whole concept of this hotel is amazing. Close to Kyoto Station but not crazy busy streets. Room in perfect conditions and bed super comfortable. One ice cream per day for free plus open bar from 17-21h invites you to not even go outside and explore the city but to stay in the hotel with good vinyl music they play at the reception and just feel the vibe. And of course, the staff members are awesome, always there to help you with everything. If I come back to Kyoto, I'm going to make sure that I stay in this hotel 10000%. Thank you!!

I love this hotel! It is super cute and has a creative concept. As a creative person, I appreciate the little touches: a vinyl record to play on the turntable provided in every room, free daily ice cream and happy hour, a lobby that feels like a lounge so that guests can mingle, a side kitchenette in the lobby, and cute merch for the guests. The owner's story is quite impressive, and I wish we had concept hotels like this in the States. The location was near public transportation and a grocery store. Even though it was slightly off the main area, it never felt isolated, which added to its charm. I would definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to Kyoto. I will be back!

The only downside is that the bathroom is super tiny and does not have ventilation. They made the most of the space available, but the bathroom was a bummer. However, I would still stay at this location.

This hotel is ideally located, just a 12-13 minute walk to Kyoto Station, with easy access to both bus and train stations. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. The staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. A nice bonus is the complimentary snacks and drinks, including delicious ice cream, which added a pleasant touch.

The room space is quite limited, and there are few cubbies for hanging or storing belongings. This might be a bit tight for those with larger luggage or who prefer more storage space.

One train stop away from Kyoto. Room was large and spacious. From 5pm they provided you with one free icecream and drinks both alcohol and non alcohol along with snacks. It was nice to sit down and have a beer after a long day of walking for free. Bed was comfy. The staff are great and always had smiles on their faces.

The walls are thin. I could hear my next door neighbour laughing with her friend. It sounded like a normal conversation so they weren't intentionally loud. The shower curtain smelled when wet and the bathtub was dirty. My bed cushions also had someone's hair on it.

This place has such a great vibe. I stayed in a mix of places on my trip and I'm really glad I decided to have a night at Hotel She. The staff are really helpful & friendly, I dropped my bags off early and walked to Kyoto station for a day in hiroshima. Was very happy to have such a big & comfortable bed to sleep in after a day of exploring. Loved the location. The shared space is really lovely. Breakfast was a treat & free ice cream, and records for the room made for a really lovely experience. The room is really big for japan and the bathroom had a bath so that was an unexpected surprise. Very comfy pyjamas and great bathroom products. I'd love to stay again one day!

A small and cozy place at relatively affordable rates. We wanted to live away from the busy areas and this place is conveniently located at a walking distance from Kyoto station. The AEON Mall is also at a walking distance from the hotel. As long as you are okay walking, most places are accessible from this hotel. This was my second stay at the hotel. They still offer free ice creams to guests, however they only offer one scoop now. Free drinks are only limited to juices and iced tea.

The Wi-Fi was terrible and painfully slow.

We had a fabulous stay - 10 minutes walk from Kyoto Station and 5 minutes to Kujo subway station so the hotel is well located to explore around. We didn't take breakfast but there are great cafes nearby including the Anteroom which has an amazing buffet spread with coffee. Our room was exceptionally clean and the hotel is very cool with complimentary icecream, snacks and drinks until 9pm (or upgrade for free flow alcoholic beverages for Yen1000). Loved this boutique hotel. Will definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed playing the records in our room! Having a mini fridge was very useful. The lobby was relaxing and pleasant. The bathroom was comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. 10 minutes to walk to Kyoto Station, and even less to another subway station. It was great having restaurants and a convenience store close by.

The room was quite small, which made it less comfortable to stay for many nights with big suitcases. The location, while close to the station, was far away from the main areas of Gion. Since the public transit ends around 11 PM, we had to walk almost an hour back to the hotel when we wanted to be out late.
