We loved the aesthetic of the space, especially the shower and bathtub on level 1. The covered outdoor space was a nice touch looking out into the greenery. Felt very serene. The beds were very comfortable and the washer and dryer was very convenient. They even provide soap and fabric softener!

The location was just okay, there are a few restaurants walking distance to the home but you’re pretty removed from the center of Kyoto. We did use the pots that were provided but noticed one of them still had food in one of them which was a little gross. They also provide slippers but not pajamas which I found surprising considering we stayed at other lower cost accommodations and they provided pajamas.

Maana Kyoto is beautiful, I had read comment and it really is like staying in a gallery or museum. So many beautiful little details we spent so long walking around admiring it from floor to ceiling.

At night the window in the upstairs bedroom rattled a lot with the wind and rain, it woke us up a few times.

Maana Kyoto was absolutely exceptional. I was so so excited to arrive and find the house so well presented. The house is a masterpiece of traditional and modern design and SO comfortable. The staff were so lovely as well and a delight to deal with. I had the unfortunate situation of losing my engagement ring in the house and they were so helpful with finding it for me and offered to post it back and everything. Could not recommend this place enough. Thank you Maana Kyoto. I will definitely be back!

It’s very clean and comfortable.

It took me a while to realize that the door’s passcode was sent to my email on the day of my stay and I didn’t really check my email that day with all the things I was doing on my vacation.

Fantastic! Was such a unique Kyoto-styled accommodation while visiting. The design is impeccable, Japanese modern minimalist, very zen vibe. You will fall in love with the Hot tub/bath with views of the small garden, the quaint seating areas, the comfortable bed that gives you such a good sleep… Highly recommend for a unique experience!

The house is very beautiful and enjoyable.

The house is a bit far from the heart of Kyoto and the kitchen is not very well equipped. This was a bit of a disappointment considering the cost of the property.
