Location of this hotel is very convenient as is about 10 mins away from Nijo Station, is also really closed to a market street where you can find supermarkets, restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel has a public kitchen that you can use to reheat or cook your food. The rooms are very spacious with also a small kitchenette, small dining table so you have plenty of space. Another thing we like is that the hotel has free washing machine to use and they provide detergent as well, however they don’t have a dryer but you can dry the clothes in your room using drying system installed in the bathroom (we used and the clothes was dry overnight).

This is more of a guesthouse than a hotel, with an informal athmosphere, which suited us well. They have a kitchen with cooking area and washing machines which can all be used for free (bathrooms have a dryer function.) The room was functional and small, but sufficient, since we didn't spend much time there outside of resting. The facilities are all in good quality and everything was clean. The location is pretty convenient. The staff is helpful. They let us store our bags until evening after checkout, so we could make the most of our final day. The price was comparatively low, which makes this accomodation excellent value.

Definitely good value for money. The place had a hostel vibe to it where there was a communal kitchen with tables and chairs. Also a little bookshelf where you can exchange books. The other people were nice (it was not like the kind of rowdy hostels you can get in other countries, I expect Japan doesn't attract those kinds of visitors). It was quiet at night and easy to sleep. Some amenities like razors and toothbrushes available. It didn't feel like the staff were happy to be (maybe they are underpaid for all I know) but they were kind when I needed help, which is what is important. The location was still a little far from sites since I was travelling with a 7 year old, but it was easy to take the bus with bus stops close enough by to walk to. If you have children with you, we came across two small playgrounds close to the hotel, one is on the same street. There is a food street very close to the hotel which is good for dinners. There are two supermarkets close by one is by the train station.

You can't check in until 4pm and they don't let you check in early, but they do let you keep your luggage in the lobby, it's not in a closed off room, but since I don't keep valuables in my luggage I didn't mind. Check out is early at 10 which is hard for my kid who sleeps in in the morning.

The hotel is in a very quiet zone but nearby there are a lot of stores and the Nijo station is less than 10 minutes walking. There is a smoking area outside the hotel and they will give you soap for the washing machine for free, you can dry your clothes in the bathroom with a dryer function, which was very convenient for us! The staff was helpful and they speak very good English. There is a free to use kitchen which saved us some bucks for a couple of dinners.

The room was very basic and the place had a hostel vibe. Checking/checkout times are not the best compared to other hotel, but we knew that in advance so it was ok. The price was very cheap compared to other hotels in the zone so it was ok overall.

I was extremely pleased with my stay. The front desk offered free laundry detergent with access to one of three washing machines, and the bathroom had a "dryer" coming out of the ceiling, so laundry was easy and free. I am a jogger, and there is a covered shopping street you can use for jogging or, even better, an uninterrupted loop around the nearby Nijo Castle to avoid stoplights. The A/C and cleanliness made the hot days a breeze when I was in the hotel.

The location is not close to many popular attractions, so just be aware of that.

The location was fantastic, just an 8 minute walk from Nijo station, relatively close to the 206 and 207 buses, which loop the city. And yet, still tucked away on a small street for quietness, too Staff were incredibly friendly, were accommodating with English, and the supermarket and a shopping street next to the hotel is a plus! A hotel I will be making note of for the next time I decide to visit the area!

The walls were thin and so people were to keep quiet at night. Not an issue but something to be mindful of. The staff need to open the door leading from the reception/kitchen area to the room hallway to use the communal restroom if you haven't checked in yet - an inconvenience but NOT a major issue!

The hotel is right next to the historic Kyoto Sanjo shopping street and made for an easy walk to get lots of delicious snacks and treats! There are local bakers, restaurants, grocery stores, laundry facilities and even convenience stores. A great location in a quiet neighborhood within close walking distance to Nijo station and easy access to bus stops.

The room was exceptionally small. The pictures definitely made the space seem bigger and a small family doesn't have enough room to be comfortable. The kitchen is NOT in the room and instead is a shared space in the lobby. The AC units also have not been cleaned and can aggravate those who are easily affected by air quality.

Great location towards a calmer Kyoto neighborhood near the Nijo castle. Different bus and metro lines near, as well as the Nijo train station. Many eateries near. Regarding amenities you can wash and dry your clothes easily free of charge (drying them in the room). A common area with everything you need. We didn't use it but you can also leave your luggage on the days of check in and check out to see the city luggage free.

The room is a bit small for two people but for one it's perfect. But still a very minor detail.

We stayed at Miro Hotel in last Novembre 2024. We had a little twin room with a fantastic air conditioning and a powerful shower. Wi-fi worked perfectly. The room has a little kitchenette and in the common area there are a microwave and table where Cook something. The hotel is about 500m from Nijo station and a little bit further from Omiya station which arrives a training fron Osaka. Nearby there are a lot of traditional restaurant and convinient stores. I definitely recommend it.

They don't clean the room everyday but change towels whenever you want.

A really cute little hotel, perfectly located near the Nijo castlea and right next to a shopping passage. Plenty of shops and bus stops nearby, great communication with the whole city. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was tiny but had super comfy beds and a very nice, new bathroom. We booked a room theoretically with no kitchen but there still was a little kitchen set with a sink, a fridge and a kettle. There was no place to plug in the kettle in the kitchenette though, but it's not a big issue. A washing machine is a big advantage and you can even get the detergent from the staff.
