The price per night was good and the beds were comfortable.

The combination washer and dryer was great for washing tiny loads, but the dryer functionality could not get them dry. Maybe it could dry my clothes if I ran three or more dry cycles per load, but that isn't time efficient. I ended up walking a few blocks to a coin laundry and paying ~$13.00USD to wash and dry all of my clothes in one large load. The location could be better. It's close to the castle, but it's not very close to any other major attractions. Thankfully the bus service is cheap at only ¥230 per adult per trip. The hard part is walking to the bus stop and standing outside in the oppressive heat waiting for it.

Very well located, quiet place, spacious room for a group of 3, comfy beds, amazing (and I mean it) shower, best shower I’ve seen in Japan so far, overall excellent place to stay.

The only downside I’ve found is the washing machines, at the time of my stay there were 3, they get crowded sometimes, and some people use them to wash like 4 socks (not kidding), while I had a full load.

It’s very close to Nijo-Mae station and Nijo station, it’s within walking distances from Nishiki market, Nijo Castle and the Imperial Palace. The neighborhood is also awesome and you can look around to eat at local restaurants which btw are so accommodating even for non-Japanese speakers. The room is very spacious and the bathroom is massive and so clean and everything you need is just there. The front desk and staff are so helpful and so nice. The lobby is also really beautiful and they have this section where there are brochures and magazines you can browse local stores, restaurants and souvenir shops that is unique to the area. The bed is so big and comfy and the lights are awesome especially those who are not fans of total darkness (although there is an option for that too). There are a lot of charging ports so you can charge your devices closer to the bed, or on the table or literally anywhere. If you’re feeling a bit like snacking and feels lazy to go outside you can buy some on the front desk and the price is no different outside.

There’s no complaints really. There’s nothing to dislike about the place. However, do not that microwaves are in the lobby, there is none in the room but it’s not a big of deal really

Overall the room is neat and spacious for two people. Washing machine, couch, table, and full body mirrors were provided and found them very useful during our stay. Neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Although the location of the hotel is a few minutes walk from JR Nijo station, it is very close to a bus stop so that made our commute to tourist spots very convenient.

Performance of the washing machine dryer is not that good. There was no dryer in the bathroom and a rack where clothes can be hanged and left for drying.

This was a great stay! I stayed with 2 friends, so 3 people total and the amount of space was amazing. Especially since Japan has small rooms usually the apartment was great. I love the toilet being separate from the shower too, it made everything easier for everyone. Great lobby/lounge area. Amazing stay!!

Nothing. It was all amazing.

Really clean, fresh room - modern but still with a distinctly Japanese feel. The space worked really well for us as a family of 5. Ability to self cater was a bonus. Outlook over the neighbourhood was nice too. The common area at ground level was also really nicely laid out/designed (outlook to a nice courtyard) with free tea/coffee making facilities.

Nothing- would definitely stay again.

Wonderful and safe location- few minutes away from buses to city centre, and metro stations that bring you to all the tourist spots easily. We had a comfortable and very modern new room, super clean, shower/tub was amazing, friendly staff, free laundry services. Love love love

Lovely, clean room with all necessary amenities- really comfortable stay. Accomodating and nice staff. Worked perfectly for me, I liked the location too (though not right in the centre of Kyoto, very easy to get there within 20 mins by walking/bus). Very relaxed atmosphere, with all that you need close by. Short walk to Nijo station. Would definitely stay here again.

this is a modern Kyoto townhouse style hotel, which offers larger than average rooms, that are quite stylish. The staff are lovely and the facilities, such as the washing machine are modern and well taken care of.

There is no place to hang the towels after taking a shower, so over time the humidity in the room keeps increasing. Installing just a few hooks would help out so much!
