-Check-in was very quick and easy. I did arrive earlier than the check-in time, but they let me leave my bags there. -There's lots of transport options close by. There's Nijomae Station to the north (Right next to Nijo-jo Castle), there's Karasuma Oike (subway) a little further to the east, the Omiya tramstop a few minutes to the south, and a number of bus routes. -The main shopping precinct (Nishiki Market) and the main entertainment precinct is about a 20 minute walk (if you feel like it). It's in a pretty central location where you can easily travel to most attractions in the city. There's also a number of conbinis and shopping markets close by. -The room itself has everything you need. It was very clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. -The staff are friendly and helpful. -It's a pretty good price for what you're getting. It ticks all the boxes.

-When I left my bags there, they didn't have a room to store them in - they just leave them in the lobby. That made me feel uneasy.

It was a nice and clean hotel in Kyoto. The room was reasonably sized and all amenities were provided for. Its not too far away from the central station and buses only cost ¥230, so its not too expensive to get around. A shopping arcade is close by so getting breakfast and dinner is quite easy. There is also a coin laundry and microwave on the ground floor.

The hotel is a bit hard to find as there is another branch of the same hotel only slightly further down the road. The only access to floors 2 and 3 is via the single elevator as the stairs are emergency exit only.

Location of the inn was very convenient, close to metro station and in walkable distance to many sights. Nearby there were many shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The staff was very helpful, nice and it was no problem to leave our luggage before check in which we appreciate a lot. The room itself was smaller but it was well equipped and sufficient for spending just few nights. The accomodation was very clean, new towels were provided every day and there were free toiletries as well.

The room was a bit small for three people and in addition there was no closet just few hangers. But that’s just something to keep in mind, it doesn’t effect the overall positive experience from our stay.

The location was excellent! It is a 10 minute walk from two major stations in Kyoto and about 5 minutes from a shopping street with excellent food options and a Family Mart. We also loved our room. It was small but more than enough room for two of us (and my partner is well above 6 feet tall!). The bathroom is tight, but we were mainly using the room to relax, sleep, and shower! The rest of our time was spent out in Kyoto. The area and hotel itself was also very quiet, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We showed up before check in and were able to drop our bags off. They also offered to let us keep our bags there after we checked out, if that’s something that you need!

If you need a thick pillow, you may want to find a way to bring your own! They were thin but comfortable enough for sleeping without a second pillow.

The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is in very close proximity to Nijo Castle. All other places could be reached by foot or via public transport within 30-40 minutes. Breakfast is not served in the hotel - we were given coupons for a bakery nearby with variety of baked goods, high carbohydrates mostly. The washing and drying amenities are on disposal, but the staff is not in touch with the owners of the laundry and it happened that we waited for 2 hour until someone decided to empty its load.

Very nice room in a quiet street. The room was "big" enough for Japan standard. There were amenities such toothbrushes, slipers, soap, shampoo and aconditionar, facial cream, wet towels, etc. Hairdryer, minifridge and kettle. Also A/C

They didn't clean the room at all if you stay less than 5 nights. That was not informed at the time of the booking. If you want the room clean, you need to pay extra. At least, if you ask for it, they change the towels and empty the trash.

Very nice location, right next to nijo castle and station, as well as a half hour walk from Nishiki market, and a half hour train from gion district. Facilities were nice and high quality, shower and bathroom were very good, and the room had a small mini fridge, de humidifier, and air con.

Quite busy, it took a while to sign in. Many Smart Place Inn's around so easy to get lost/arrive at the wrong one.

Fairly quiet if no one is talking in the hallway. Nice location. Reasonable walking distance to Nijo. Good value.

Pillows are small and a bit hard, mattress was firm but comfortable enough. Has a kettle in the room but no coffee, tea, or cups. You can get some instant drinks in the lobby, but no cups were available on my first day. Room has a TV, but no channels were working. No room cleaning offered on a daily basis but clean towels are provided daily.

Location, staff is very nice

I booked a breakfast in this hotel cause we had a very early flight and I planned to have a breakfast at the hotel to optimise the time. During check-in we realized that the breakfast is not served in the hotel. You need to go 10-15 mins to a specific cafe and the breakfast is really bad. I recommend you to check it before you plan your visit.

Clean, great amenities - particularly that it had its own washers and dryer. Pretty good size by Japan standards and reasonably priced for Kyoto. Easy enough to get around, and a local shopping centre next door meant eating out was easy. Checking in was very straight forward.

It is a quiet area, so be prepared to get the train/bus/ or walk if you want a more lively atmosphere.
