Location is very good – there are multiple bus stops and train station close by, as well as many supermarkets, restaurants and a McDonald’s. Room was comfy enough for a short stay and provided everything you need. I really appreciated the two free bottles of waters that the staff provided in my room. That was a nice touch! Good range of free toiletries to pick up by the reception.

The room was a bit small. If you travel with one cabin luggage it’s fine, but it could be tricky if you have more suitcases with you. The bathroom tap was a bit inconvenient to use. It has a mechanism for which it locks at a certain point but the water flow is way too powerful and it can make you spill water around. I couldn’t regulate it to a lesser flow because of the lock system.

It was super cheap, but didn't feel cheap. It was clean and modern and in a nice quiet area that was about 20 minutes on foot from more busy areas. There were plently of lovely bars and restaurants nearby. The room was exactly what i expected it to be, so that was great. It's not a luxury hotel, by any stretch of the imagination, but it performed adequately and if you're travelling on a budget like we were, then you want a clean, comfortable place to stay with a/c (japan is humid, yo) and a place to wash your clothes (excessive luggage is a PITA, yo). This place achieved all this very well. Plus, the staff were nice. Hurray!

I guess soundproofing could have been a thing, but a rough, hardy tough like me doesn't really give a fig about that sort of thing: the odd overheard word from the corridor is no hardship unless you're weak. Only reason i put it in here is out of some sense of obligation to this very survey form.

Such a great location, 4 minute walk from 2 train stations. The staff were kind and helpful. There were amenities available if you needed them. Most were down in the lobby but once you picked them up once you didn’t need to again, ex. Toothbrush and comb. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice relaxed stay in Kyoto

There wasn’t much to dislike. The only real downside was if you wanted your room thoroughly cleaned while you were staying for only a few days then you would have to pay extra but if you just needed new towels etc then that was included. Even so we never got it done as you are only really there to sleep and shower so you don’t make much mess anyway but the option is there if you need it

The best thing is the location! It is so easy to get train/bus. However you need to pay fee for this location :D we were a bit surprised when they asked for a little additional tax per person it was like 8aud during check in ( fee for staying in central area ) We paid but it was our first time to hear about this fee. So be prepared :D Staff was so helpful and hotel was so clean. Everything you need is provided included pyjamas which we have never wear because it was too big and not very suitable to wear. (It was like a dress)

The room is too small! Even there is no space to open your luggages. Bathroom and toilet are like claustrophobic. The door of the toilet is transparent and it is quite visible what you are doing inside :D it was very strange. If you plan to include breakfast to your stay, don't do it. Breakfast is just bread, egg, jam or butter, drink. Thats is. I was expecting buffet breakfast but you do not have options. Especially, I do not eat egg, butter so there was nothing for me to eat. I discussed it with manager and they just refunded my breakfast back to me because basically I would have to eat bread and jam everyday. Thats it. I am glad that they were really nice and they understood my point.

Good location, near to train station and JR Lines. walkable to near by points of interest and districts. Free toiletries if you have forgotten anything. Food, Pharmacies, Bars, Super Markets all within walkable distance.

3pm check in does make things a little tricky when arriving from over seas. Flight arrivals are usually not in time with check in times so left waiting, with jet lag and little sleep. The hotel does allow bag drop off which helps a lot when snoozing at a near by park or a cafe.

The room is well-equipped, and fresh bedding and towels are delivered to the door every day. The hotel is quite well-located, despite the long distances between places in Kyoto. It also has machines for washing and drying clothes, which is very convenient.

The room is very small; in a double room, only one person fits comfortably. There is no storage space for clothes. I arrived an hour before check-in time and they didn't let me enter. You have to pay to use the washing and drying machines.

Great value for money. The breakfast was operated by Komeda's Coffee, which we really enjoyed. The room was clean, there were many useful amenities you were free to take as needed, and the towels were changed nightly, which was a great addition. Really enjoyed our stay.

The room was not very spacious, so it was hard to open our suitcase. There also wasn't much space to put things aside, ex. a cupboard, or shelf space in the bathroom. Aside from that, no issues.

Great clean hotel with amenities on hand, laundry facilities and the friendliest, most helpful staff. Great location for bus, train, subway and tram. Just meters to walk. I was waiting for a parcel from the UK to be delivered to the hotel. The staff went out of their way to help. And even when it didn't arrive in time for our stay, in true Japanese style, they apologized.

I didn't dislike anything, but a couple of chairs in the lobby would be good

Staff was super nice and helpful:) place was also very nice and clean. Overall it was a nice stay.

The location was a bit farther from the main attractions than we anticipated. After a full day of walking, getting back to the accommodation could feel a bit tiring. Also the windows had kind of safety lock on them and we weren’t allowed to open them. It would be great to be able to open the windows to be honest. It was a bit claustrophobic combined with a very small room:/

The room was clean, we had all the needed amenities. We get new towels and robs everyday. The hotel is close to subway dtation and bus station. You get a small fridge too and you can put your luggage under the bed so you get more space.

The only down side is that the staff dont speak English so we had to always use an app to translate but this happened only at check in. So it is not that much of a hustle.
