The place is located at a walkable distance to Nara Park, Kintetsu Station and to other facilities, including a local supermarket, but far enough so that its neighborhood does not feel crowded. The room is very spacious and comfy, and the host was super helpful and friendly as well. I would even recommend people to stay here if they are visiting Osaka or Kyoto, since both cities are just a train away from Kintetsu.

(separate toilet) - big shared kitchen available. - room size bigger than the standard ones (more space). - well located and 15min walking distance from Nara park.

The owner was very lovely. She showed me and explained thoroughly. Checked the temperature of hot shower and explained about other guests staying, which made me feel safe. It is located quiet Naramachi area. Bit of walk from the station but there are lots of little nice shops and restaurant to browse around. Very clean room and futon. Happy to come back again.

Nothing. You could hear other guests talking and walking, but that is expected and we all respected each other.

Lovely guesthouse, perfect location, close to the park and Nara town. The guesthouse is new, modern facilities, with traditional mats and futon style bed. A novel experience. Very clean. Nice kitchen, and shower rooms. Slept well and happy to recommend.

An exceptionally clean and well-kept guesthouse in a quiet street with some shops and restaurants, still within walking distance of the park, city centre and the railway stations. There is a shared common space with TV, microwave oven, refrigerator and free coffee and tea as well as various information brochures about Nara in several languages. The owner takes care of the house herself and is incredibly nice and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here a lot!

The walls are a bit thin, so sounds from other guests are being heard occasionally. This is rather common in Japan however.

I booked a room with tatamis on the floor, which was specified as double/twin room, but when we arrived, it was 2 beds, which isnt a problem in itself, but we couldnt move them, so me and my wife had to sleep in separate beds. Some hair in the showers, i know you cant clean continuously everytime someone showers, but was the same 2 days in a row.

Easy walk to many attractions and town centre/rail station, very clean and modern, but in a very traditional area . Every amenity from keyless entry to spotless showers and toilets, to comfortable beds/bedding, big room,free coffee/tea Very pleased by the thoughtfulness of the host.

Wonderful location, it is in the middle of the Naramachi neighborhood so every time I went out I was able to enjoy the old buildings. The nearby Toy museum was also great, I highly recommend it. The tatami room was wonderful!

It is a bit noisy both from outside (the neighbor's dog was barking quite often) and inside (I clearly heard the snoring from the next room), but that is to be expected in this type of houses.

The place is really nice! All facilities are clean and mostly new. They provide you with sheets, towels and toothbrush :) My room had no bed but there was a nice tatami and very warm quill, I had no problem sleeping there. Also there is an AC in the room so you could set your own temperature to your comfort. Downstairs is a kitchen with large TV, kettle, coffee machine and microwave where you can have a breakfast if you like. It's about 10-12 minutes walking from train station and there is a beautiful small temple nearby.

Room doors are just thin Japanese style sliders, so it gives almost no sound isolation. Keep it quiet inside :) But anyway it is much better than a bunk in the dormant.

Absolutely as good as it gets. Super clean, comfortable, quiet, in Nara's most desirable area, super close to the action yet very quiet. Helpful hostess.

Kitchen could use a hot plate and utensils, cooking supplies big room, but only fridge and a microwave. Not even cups or plates or coffee machine. Strange considering how well-appointed the house is otherwise.
