location-across the road from the station and everything in nikko was easily accessible the room was standard sized for japan, which is very small but multiple rooms and separate bathroom and toilet. wifi and ac all worked fine. cleaner came each day. were able to leave bags at front lobby prior to checkin which helped us lots. Elevator to the room was helpful too.

nobody was at front desk even at check in time. there was a drunk man who pretended to work there though but he was friendly. bit of a problem since everyone's bags were there unattended. when i called the number at the desk through whatsapp, someone came down right away though and helped us get to our room eventually. room smelled a bit musty, beds were a bit uncomfortable, and room was quite dated and with a weird layout. fridge and microwave were in the bathroom for some reason instead of in the kitchen.

The location of this hostel is very good because it is very close to Nikko Tobu station and also train station. We reserved a double room. Room was big enough and it had also a small kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, microwave, kettle, sink). Bed was big and comfortable. A large window door to open and to get some fresh air and to see Nikko from above. We were very happy we were able to check in early. English speaking person at the reception.

The price in this lodge is a bit high for a double room. We paid less in the 3-star hotel near Lake Chuzenji, where we had a large Japanese style room, free drinks, and onsen with three pools. We were looking for tea cups in the room (only one glass and two plastic cups for toothbrushes were available) so we went to get some from the reception.

The style of the accommodation was very unique and quite nice overall. Although I did not use all the facilities, there was quite a bit available, including a very cool lounge room. The owner also let me check in early even though I just meant to store my luggage, which was very appreciated. Being right in front of Toyota Rental Car and not far from the train station and bus terminal was also convenient. If you are used to multi-person dorm style places, this is a great place to stay.

I do not recall there being any lockable storage space near the bed, so I had to keep my backpack on my bunk. Otherwise, nothing major of concern.

It was right across the street from the Tobu station. The room itself was comfortable and the heated blankets kept us warm along with the heater.

A little dated; things could need some fixing up. The right faucet handle was leaking when showering/using the water in the bathroom, the sheets had holes in them, so an upgrade is needed for bed sheets. Also didn’t like that bags were just stored in the lobby/restaurant, even though Japan is a safe country.

Fantastic location opposite Tobu Nikko train station and bus stops. In a busy season, the ability to be early in the bus queue is very significant. Very comfy bed and pillow in generous-sized room. (I’d booked the Double Room - Single Use which is at the front of the building with a view up the main street.) Cooked western-style breakfast options available from 8am were very good and very reasonably priced. (As nothing else is open this early on Nikko’s main street, this is a significant plus.)

Friendly staff, the bunk bed room for 4 people was actually divided in 2 twin rooms, so me and my friend could have plenty of privacy. A wash basin was also provided in the room aside from that in the bathroom. Plus, it is right in front of the station.

The keyholder large size was the only non positive thing.

The hotel was a short walk from the train station. It was close to the convenience store. Even though it lay on a major through road, I didn't hear any car noise. The shower had good water pressure and heating was on demand. The Air-Con was cool and quiet. The Rooms where a hybrid mix between Western and Japanese. There was plenty of outlets and storage in the rooms. Would gladly have stayed longer if i had more time! Friendly staff explained the entry and facilities.

The staff were so kind and sweet and super accommodating. We arrived early to drop our luggages but because our rooms were free, they let us check in early, 10:30A.M. early! A staff member also helped us with the door when we locked ourselves out of one of our rooms. Our rooms were pristine and spacious and the beds were really comfortable.

The rooms are bit dated and there's a stall scent to them that bugged me because I have a sensitive nose. Nothing to bad though, just leave the windows open, the smell will lessen eventually.

The location is very convenient, just 100 meter from Tobu station. Nearby you have a big supermarket, a Family market and several shops, pubs and restaurants. The matrass is heated, that's good for winter.

Not large space for your luggage. Only one toilet for woman and one for men, two showers.
