The villa is lovely with great facilities and loads of space, very clean and everything functioned well. Particularly liked the onsen and the washer/dryer was very handy (though didn’t find English instructions). Beds quite firm which we like, and air-con worked well so slept well.

The location is a bit remote and not well connected. Buses are infrequent so I wouldn’t stay here again without a car. Repeat: car is essential. Also, there is no concierge and the online service bluntly states they will not book a taxi for you so you need phone carrier connection which we didn’t have on our temporary SIMs. Also, arrived early, coinlockers at the station were all full so went straight there and there was no luggage storage available, though a nice, helpful cleaning worker help us organise at our own risk. Again, this would have been solved if we had a car. Repeat: CAR IS ESSENTIAL.

Good and comfort villa and all every things we need in the house.

Quite difficult for access the villa with public transportation. First bus down to city is very late at 10am and last bus back at 4pm. We need to get taxi for in/out. No convenience store nearby the villa.

The listing on booking.com really undersold the unit. It's nice and spacious and new like the photos, but while they advertise a sauna (which the unit had), there's also 2 full bathrooms and a legit indoor onsen tub. After spending some days in a Tokyo hotel, it was refreshing to have this much space again. The complex itself is very nice and peaceful, with good parking. The location was good in that it was about 1km from the train station. We rented a car but had to return it on our last night, so the next day we had to haul our luggage to the station. Going back to the station was downhill/flat, so it very easy. Driving to the temples and some hikes were easy as well. We had 3 people, the place could easily sleep 6, if not more.

Laundry machine wasn't working. It would be nice to have some English instructions because even translating through the phone produces some odd translations.

We really liked having our own private onsen & an apartment that was fully furnished with a washing machine & pretty much anything you’d need in a kitchen. Our apartment was quiet, clean and close (5 min driving distance) to the main street with lots of food options. The beds & futons were all comfortable & my family slept well. Since we stayed in November and it got dark by 4:30pm with limited things to do at night, we also liked that we could enjoy a movie night as a family. It was also really convenient to drive to “Edo Wonderland”, which was a superb experience that we highly recommend, as well as the UNESCO heritage sites of Nikko Toshogu.

It didn’t affect us, but we saw people who presumably didn’t drive having to walk up a long slope to get to Rakuten Villas & it looked like quite a workout!

Perfect villa for family holiday ! Super clean , well maintained with a lot of attention to all details. In the middle of the forest , which is calm and nice (dont forget the stinky bugs as well :) ) The room has everything you need and even more :) The rooms are big and very spacious , in room private onsen and sauna are also available, which is great for calm relaxing evening ! The villa located in the middle of the nature , waterfalls , trails and much more !

The checkin / out process is a bit annoying :( , which is a down side. The provided tablet didnt work properly , and it was required to repeat the process several times in row until it worked which is a bit time consuming ...

Our family had an amazing stay at this villa! Super modern, very spacious, all the amenities, and thoughtful touches. Loved the hot spa bath and sauna and that it was next to a small private outside deck for air! Projector in the main bedroom to watch movies in bed. Although the 2nd bedroom area was above the living room on the upper landing (not enclosed for sound) the blackout curtains worked great. Having a coffee pod machine and a washer/dryer was also nice, and there was an outdoor seating area we didn't get to use.

It is a 15-20 mins uphill walk from town if you don't have a car (very irregular buses and there might not be taxis available), so be sure to get all food/ groceries on the way if you are cooking. Otherwise there are restaurants nearby.

The location was very good. It was easy to get to the town centre and far enough to feel quiet. All the facilities worked well and everything was well- considered. During my stay, we had a lot of snow overnight and the staff was most helpful in helping us clear the snow from the walkway, from our cars etc. Thank you very much to all the ladies who were on duty this morning! Beautifully new and modern accomodation, loved the Onsen/bathroom. Kitchen was super well equipped which is good as is a fair walk from the centre of town (although bus stop is directly outside).

Check in process was super intense and quite off putting. Glad check out was much easier. Apparently you can order meal kits to be delivered but they need to be arranged prior to check in date. They looked nice so worth enquiring before you arrive. Wish booking.com had advertised this service.

Beautiful spacey lodging with comfortable beds and well functioning air conditioning. All modern conveniences Sauna and tub experience is super Cowboy cafe across the street was a unique eating experience

Big house. Clean and new. Two bedrooms are convenient for family guests. Capsules tastes are good.

although it is only walking 15 minutes from the main station, the road is a little bit drak. if u walk with your luggage, it is hard. And there is less taxis, the bus only passes by between nearly 10 am to before 4 pm (every hour).
