A big room for family trip. Small kitchen is enough for simple dinner. 10 minutes walk from Okayama JR station and neighbor area is convenient. Good place to stay with.

This is a self check-in hotel. All the information are included in the email. However, there is no wifi password in the mail and I have to make an international phone call to the hotel for the password. This is the only thing I suggest for the hotel.

Very affordable given the size of the room. The beds were very comfy and the shower was nice. The self check-in process was very straightforward (though remember to do it online to save time), and we had no issues entering or exiting the hotel, given that it was unmanned.

My only complaint was the hotel is unmanned (self check-in and check-out), meaning you can't send your luggage directly to this hotel via Ta-Q-Bin as there's no one there to receive it. You will need to send your luggage to the Ta-Q-Bin located at Okayama Station instead.

The room was large room and the small kitchenette was handy. The location was outstanding. Only a couple hundred metres train station and fantastic food options just metres from the door.

Our room didn't get tendered to during our 5 night stay. No emptying of bins, resupply of bath products, no fresh bleeding which was all disappointing. If they are not going to include these services then the price should be cheaper.

Absolutely fantastic property. Big, spacious, and comfortable with all the required amenities, with easy instructions for check-in. Very close to the train and thus very convenient, and there is a beautiful canal (with Sakura blossoms at the time that we stayed) right next to the property that is quiet and peaceful without too many tourists.

Property is completely unmanned, so communicating involves texting the hosts using an iPad at the entrance to the room. They might be a little slow on the replies.

Great room and ideal location as only 5 minutes from the station. My wife didn’t believe how much it cost when I told her as she thought it would be a lot more expensive. Had a mini job, and microwave, kettle etc. You need to know you can’t check in before 15.00 and there are no staff onsite. instructions are emailed to you in Japanese so you need to google translate. we used as a base to visit neoshima, but the gardens in Okayama were a real treat so try to fit a visit in. value for money wise it was great and if you do arrive really early just use the lockers at the station, and collect your bag later

I recently stayed at the Grand Base Okayama Ekimae hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease and convenience of my stay. Although there were no staff interactions or front desk check-ins, everything was seamlessly arranged prior to my arrival and access to my room was straightforward. The room itself was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. I particularly appreciated the convenient location of the hotel, which made it easy to explore the local area and take advantage of the nearby transportation options. Overall, my experience at the hotel was excellent, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay in Okayama.

Great sized room, comfortable beds and just enough equipment for self catering for a short stay. The check in process was very easy once we managed to work our way through the pre check in instructions using google translate.

There isn’t much to improve but somewhere to hang wet towels would be good and emails in English would have made life a little easier but we managed to work it out. Make sure to follow the link sent in the emails to get a 2D barcode for easier checkin at the venue.

The hotel is more spacious than most hotels in japan with a sitting area and small pantry. The WC and shower were also quite spacious. Check-in and check-out was simple as well. Generally a great place to stay in Okayama.

so close for an independent traveller who likes walking or using public transport. Roomy. Most space I’ve had in a hotel in Japan.

The occasional street noise. Thankfully within Okayama honeycomb of one way streets do not a lot of traffic.

Loved how it was so close to the Okayama station, food, supermarket and trams. We ended up coming back to Okayama and stayed for 4 days just to chill out. Everything was easy, cheap food and the people are really nice and helpful.
