Location was perfect, right above the train station, close to downtown. In case of rain, large parts of the city are accessible through underground walkways. Great views from the hotel room, overlooking the city. Very clean.

For a business hotel, the internet connection was unfortunately rather slow, making online video meetings difficult and frustrating. Having to take two elevators (one to the reception, then one to the room) every time also feels like more friction than you'd want, if you're staying an extended period (two weeks, in my case).

- Location can’t be beaten. Right on top of the station with direct connection to a shopping centre. - The view from the hotel is amazing. Since most of the room will be on level 5-6 and up, everyone will be able to enjoy the city view from their room. - The staffs are really helpful and cheerful. They are always there to greet you whenever you are coming to or going from the hotel. - Due it’s central location, you have endless shopping and dining choices. I love that there is an underground passageway that connects the station with various area in Okayama, makes walking around the city in windy and chilly winter nights much more pleasant.

- They only gave me one pillow. Despite staying alone, many other hotels provided me with two. - It can be a bit tricky to find the entrance to the hotel, especially if you don’t speak Japanese. The reception is on level 4, and the only entrance that I know of is through the lift inside a GU store in the shopping centre. Maybe the hotel can provide a better way to highlight the entrance to their hotel?

This hotel is actually joined to the train station. Walk out the exit and into the hotel without hitting the street. SO convenient, especially lugging suitcases and if you want quick access to the train. Easy walk to Kōraku-en gardens or bus if you prefer. Hotel stored our luggage pre check in & also the day we checked out as we did a trip to Kurashiki & back before catching Shinkansen to Hiroshima. Room had a table & sitting area which was great. Close to downtown if you want to experience local dining too. Ideal for business person as well. Everything we needed & ticked all the boxes. Would thoroughly recommend.

Couldn’t fault this hotel at all.

I found Via Inn to be extremely convenient. It's right within Okayama Station, making it a great stop off point if you're heading from Hiroshima back up to Tokyo. I stayed here for easy access to Naoshima, and it was as simple as jumping on the JR line direct to Uno port. The laundry facilities were also easy to use, and the noise from the station wasn't an issue with the windows closed. Staff were also eager to help and assist. I think the fridge in my room wasn't working, and the layout was a little different to what I expected, but they were minor inconveniences. I also found the room to be quite hot, and couldn't go below 20 degrees.

The location was excellent - connected to the train station. There is a huge shopping mall with loads of dining facilities that can be reached without leaving the building. The bus and tram stop is just a 4 min. walk inside the station building away. Very quiet, modern and comfortable rooms. Like all rooms in Japanese business hotels, ours was very small, but we found enough space to stow our two suitcases and two trolleys well.

The breakfast is Japanese-style and somewhat basic. In our opinion, the buffet and the selection of set breakfast menus could be improved. We enjoyed it nonetheless.

Everything was excellent, extremely central, and easy to just go anywhere since your literally in the JR station. Perfect place to do day trips to imbe station ware most bizen pottery artist live and work. also easy to get to Naoshima to do a day trip to Art Island.. And lastly to Yamadamura. Honestly I'll never rent at any other place than this when I visit Okayama again

They give you only one pillow, and I probably could have asked for another, but I kept forgetting to do it, lol

- fantastic location, the entrance to the hotel is practically inside Okayama Station - room equipment felt new and clean - comfortable bed - room size was OK for japanese standards - I was able to open suitcase on the floor without problem - big table - good bathroom, no issues with water pressure or temperature control - polite staff

- price was a bit high, but for such convenient location it is acceptable

You can have (almost) all that you need, just ask for it. Need an umbrella? Ask the reception. Need to store your luggage for the end of the day? Ask reception. The hotel is placed inside the train station and near the bus terminal so it is a great time saver. Staff is very friendly and cooperative, top tier.

I was unable to exchange foreign money. I got a vague directions to the "pocket exchange" kiosk, which are technically not wrong (you can top up your card with foreign cash), but pretty much useless (you can't buy cash-JPY there). I think that recommendations should be changed so that customers will be directed to the ticket center (Chikettosenta Omotoekimaeten, 10:30~18:30 every day except Sunday). There is a branch of Western Union that does exchange money (not every branch does it).

Convenient and modern hotel right inside the Okayama JR station building. The location is perfect for exploring the city. The lobby is on the 5th floor of a highrise, well above any noise. Rooms are small, but very clean and well designed. Bedsheets and towels are changed every day and amenities are available in the lobby. Lots of washers/dryers available.

Really fantastic location, directly accessible to the train station. We needed an early morning shinkansen and it was so nice not to stress about getting to the station. It's also located in the JR station so lots of food options around.

There is a smoking room in the lobby and the smoke smell lingers in the elevators, and lobby area. As a non smoker, it is a little off putting.
