The couple was very welcoming and kind. It was a really nice experience staying in a more traditional house, from the decor to the mattress, flooring, and bathroom — all of that combined with comfort. The location is also convenient for going to Kansai Airport, so I recommend it to anyone looking for a place near Kansai Airport.

What I didn’t like as much — though it’s a personal preference — was the number of train transfers when I arrived from Itami Airport. But for Kansai Airport, the location is great.

The owners are so sweet and friendly, it made us feel totally at home. The beautiful, Japanese style room with comfortable futon beds was the perfect start for our bikepacking trip in Japan. The owners allowed us to unpack and setup our bicycles while letting us use the facilities after check-out time, until we were ready to go. They were very interested in our upcoming bikepacking trip and were able to give us some nice tips and even helped us by inflating our tires with their electrical pump. We can recommend all bikers to use this hotel for your first-, final- and/or reststop.

I loved the Japanese style house, looks just like from movies/Tv-shows I've seen. Bedroom had good air-condition with lots of space. The location is only about 8min walk from the train station and has a few resturants nearby you can eat at😋

Shower only had one way of functioning and felt a bit inconvenient and the toilet space was very small. In addition the walls are very thin and thus you nees to be aware not to make noise and hope you yourself don't get disturbes

Eric and Matte are very, very kind and helpful. The room was clean and low noise. A lot of restaurants (fast food chains mainly) etc are near the house, and it takes approximately 30 min to the airport. I can highly recommend Bigham Maison. One just have to take care changing to the local train for the stop at Tsuruhara as the express does not stop there. The house is super Japanese style and in a great location. The stay was comfortable and I think I liked it better than the other Japanese hotels that I booked. The house smelled nice and had everything I needed. I was super impressed they even had luggage scale and utensils for you to eat super market food. Staff was also friendly.

The toilet is a bit small

I liked everything. The place is 20-ish minutes from Kansai airport. We arrive a bit late(11pm) yet the friendly host received us with a smile. The rooms were very clean and well equiped. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.

Just as a suggestion, would be nice to have some bowls, plates and cutlery to warm out food or prepare oatmeal.

The lovliest hosts ever! They gave us lots of excellent recommendations for onsens and restaurants in the area and even recommended the right ticket for exploring the area! (Kansai Through Pass, saved us a lot of money going to Nara etc.) There were bicycles for us to use, which made exploring that much easier. Really loved that. We stayed for a week and really felt at home! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. We slept so well on the futons! The bath is nice and roomy, has everything you need! The house is close to the train station, so you can be out the door and on the train to Osaka in 5mins! All in all a definite recommendation! A+

The room was comfortable and clean. The family was very helpful, full of useful information, and enjoyed talking with them. I loved the woodwork in the common areas and the custom woodwork around the upstairs sink. They were very close to the train station which was needed.

Eric and Matte have been stellar hosts. They were very friendly, supportive and accommodating. The room was clean, and had all the amenities we needed. Even though the shower and toilet were technically shared with other guests it felt like we were the only ones using it. Plus our room had a private sink. Eric and Matte took the time to get to know us, tell a bit about themselves and it really felt like we were guests at some old acquaintances during that stay. The stay was very reasonably priced and we felt lucky to have chosen to stay at Bighem Maison. The house interior is very authentic, clean, and the handcrafted woodworking is truly impressive. The property is conveniently located close to the Kansai airport (just a few minutes away on the subway). We had to fly out the next morning and it was perfect. All in all, highly recommended.

I loved everything about Bighem Maison! The host was so kind and welcoming, made me feel at home. I arrived quite late and nothing was a hassle for her, she reccomended eateries and advised about the free bike service. The bed was so comfortable and the whole stay was warm and quiet. It is very close to the airport/train station so a very convenient stay. I will be back!
