First trip to Japan, discovered that if your hotel or accommodation does not include a natural onsen (hot springs), you are missing out. Stayed in two Dormy Inns in different cities, and both were excellent. Sounds ridiculous, but I sometimes visited the onsen twice per day... Oh, and the Osaka Dormy has free popsicles!

The hotel is conveniently located close to Dotonbori and metro stations, the area around it is lively but we didn't have any issues with noise. The breakfast is great, having a good enough range from Japanese cuisine and some western options. The onsen is great, it has a sauna, cold bath, and two hot onsen pools. The free ramen and treats were great as well, overall with the included breakfast and dinner you can just sort out lunch during the day wich is very convenient.

It needs to be pointed out that the room for 2 barely fits 2, and would not fit 2 adults and one child. We had to actually buy a small mattress in a nearby store so we could sleep with our child in the room, the hotel had no extra beds or anything to accommodate us. So, if space is what you need, look elsewhere for sure. But if you're a lone traveller or a couple, you'll enjoy the amenities.

The property had excellent amenities the spa though not the biggest was definitely great value and allot better than other bigger in hotel sauna onsens I have tried.

This was the only hotel that I visited in Japan out of 5 that did not directly forward luggage to another hotel. Instead they had a family mart connecting to the hotel that would forward the luggage for you. Whilst the option was available using family mart turned out to be a little bit of a hassle as you will be left to fill out the forms by yourself and if you are not familiar with the forms or Japanese it can lead to easy mistakes resulting in your luggage being delayed.

location is very near to dontoburi n shinsaibashi shopping street. Free ramen supper n ice cream n coffee. Free use of washing machines. u can take a direct airport bus juz nearby the hotel to kansai airport. We only realised it when we happen to walk pass the building on the last day of our stay. So remember to check with the hotel staff about this airport bus location if you r interested (less than 5 mins walk).

Public bath is abit small n can get quite crowded esp during peak hours. Before our trip, I emailed the property to enquire about the best way/metro exit to reach the hotel but no reply at all. So was a big disappointment in this aspect. The first time we go to the hotel was abit confusing n not tat easy esp when u are checking in at night with luggages. Took us a while to get oriented n walk from the metro stn to the hotel.

We loved the location and the included amenities such as the onsen, free ice pops and ramen and the size of the room (big for Japan). The staff were mostly extremely friendly- especially the lovely cleaning staff.

There were only two small and very firm pillows included in our room on our arrival. When we asked for two more we were told they were “sold out”. I ended up going to Daiso to buy another pillow each for my husband and I in order to sit comfortably in the bed and to sleep. The next day we were given two more pillows, but it was just something that seemed odd for a hotel to run out of.

Dormy Inn Premium Namba is situated only a few hundred metres from the Dotonburi shopping area that hosts a multitude of eateries and shopping! It is convenient to walk to, and is only a block away from Shinsaibashisuji- a popular shopping arcade. Amenities provided by the venue are nice: probiotics and ice cream as well as ramen noodles for supper. There is a ‘kombini’ attached to the lobby that makes supplies shopping ultra easy and convenient!

The venue seems a little dated and needs a refresh and or refurbishing. The carpets especially look dingy and old. The furniture are usable but yes, still dated, as are the beds. The use of their onsen is very prolific and it gets quite crowded at times.

The room is spacious enough to open two big luggages. There are free unlimited snack and drinking water on the second floor. I love that there is a connected door from the hotel to Family mart.

The hotel is located close to the subway; however, the exit near the hotel does not have the elevator. The one with elevator is quite far from the hotel but still in walkable distance. If you would like to explore Namba and Shinsaibashi (actually, I think the hotel is more close to Shinsaibashi than Glico), this hotel might be one of your valuable choices. Sadly, the room does not uphold noise-cancellations.

Recently back from a 15 day trip around Japan. This was by far the best lodging I stayed in! The staff was exceptional, and helped my friend retrieve his lost phone in the Nagano train station. We were unable to call them ourselves due to not having phone service in Japan (only data), they went above and beyond to help us get it coordinated so our other friends who were passing through Nagano were able to grab the phone and bring it back. Now on the hotel itself. The room was SO clean, and so comfortable. I loved the onsen, which we used daily! The free coffee, sodas, late ramen, and ice cream was such a huge perk. The location was so close to Dotonburi and other attractions in Osaka. I will be a Dormy fan for life! Thank you so much for a great stay!

Fast check in and very considerate and empathetic management by the staff of my booking. I mistakenly booked two rooms for two days but only needed one room for two days. Initially, the policy of the booking agent was no refund; however, I was refunded for one room in full, which my wife and I highly appreciated. That was totally unexpected and we were quite pleasantly surprised by the initiative of Dormy Inn. We’ve stayed in dormy inn branches in Tokyo and always enjoyed our stay because of the cleanliness, amenities, and locations. Now we have another reason to keep choosing Dormy Inn for future visits to Japan.

The location is about 5-7 mins walk to Dotonburi and Shinsaibashi. Located at the heart of the buzzling area in Osaka. The onsen is great, 24 hrs. The hotel does provide free soba noddle and ice cream in the evening. Staff is very friendly. Laundry services is available at no cost.
