Room was a bit small but quite clean and comfortable. The facilities such as public bath was nice too. Ive been to japan several times so I am quite comfortable with the shared public bath and showers. But there is no shower in the room - only a toilet so those first timers to Japan not comfortable with this should select another rooms as they have rooms with showers. They offer free flow drinks in the evening which is quite a nice touch. They offer pajamas which I found useful as I didnt need to unpack my pajamas. Staff was quite pleasant too with offering a map of places to eat around the hotel and also the pin in case you come back late. I'd consider staying again as the location is superb and close to many attractions also also to osaka/shin osaka station and also if you need to take the train back to Kansai. Dotonburi is a 10 min walk away so that is very convenient for those who want to spend the evening eating.

Check in took a bit of time, more because I was quite tired from dragging luggage through the subway. The staff took so much time explaining all the rules while I was waiting that could have been speeded up a bit. The review fro other travellers mentioned that they got offered a free gift on check in and the girl before me got offered one but I didn't get offered anything. Nevertheless I didnt go there for a gift but I might have been happy to receive one.

The location of the hotel is very good, it’s close to the big shopping street and you can easily access a few metro lines. The hotel itself and the staff were great aswell. The big public bath was very clean and it also contained a sauna and cold bath.

I stayed here for 7 nights and can’t think of a single negative thing.

- Beautiful room. We stayed on their “Collection Floor” which consisted of vintage furniture. - When you check in, you get one play on their gacha machine which rewards you with a Japanese/Osaka souvenir. We appreciated the staff teaching us the background of the souvenirs we were given! - Excellent location walking distance to Dotonbori, but far enough where you won’t be able to hear too much noise. - Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the staff on the night of Tuesday November 26 who assisted us in finding a taxi to the airport! - Walls are thick so we did not hear our neighbouring hotel guests. - Free flow drinks from 4pm - 10pm every day!

- The cooling system was difficult to navigate and would not work properly. We were extremely hot for the first few nights. If you run into this problem, I recommend leaving the shower door open for extra ventilation. - Free breakfast selection was very limited. - Food service would usually take around 30 minutes every morning. - The toilet would always have a very strong smell of urine which was very strange (it was like this when we first arrived).

Friendly English speaking staff, safe and great location near dotonbori. Nice shared seating area. Was reasonable price for the 5 people we had to book a room for 6. Very nice to have an onsen too, great perk.

Would be nice if there was a keycard or key per person, instead of 2 per party. There were drain flies in the onsen. They’re not dangerous or disease carrying, but still feel gross and annoying, and they’re easy to get rid of. The bunks got hot at night, and wish the didn’t do the Japanese traditional 1 pillow that is very uncomfortable…

This was truly a gem, right in the Shinsaibashi area, just a few minutes from a train station, and walking distance to the biggest sites in downtown Osaka, with a clean, reasonable-sized room, a very welcoming cafe/common area on the first and second floors, and a great sento for guests on the top floor. Also super quiet at all hours. They even offer you a free drink (coffee/tea/soft drinks) every afternoon in the cafe. I really don't think you could do better for the price.

Honestly, I don't think anything - I love to complain, too :-) - but this place was great. I'd happily recommend it to budget travelers of any age going to Osaka.

I absolutely LOVE this hotel. It was one of my favourite places in Japan which we stayed in. The hotel was such a nice surprise - the room was HUGE and so beautifully decorated. The bed extremely comfy and the TV was a nice bonus after a long day walking. It was in the best location - right in the heart of the foody district and away from the very busy touristy bit. I loved the communal areas - we often had a drink and breakfast in them. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

As with any city the roadworks were a bit noisy when I wanted a lie in but I just put earplugs in and it didn't disrupt my sleep. The men's onsen had more facilities than the women's (they had a sauna) which seemed a shame!

I like how everything was right there. Just 10-15 min walking to shinsaibashi, a Lawson right across the streets, 7 eleven beside the hotel, the metro right in front of the hotel, and nice cafes and fast food beside it. And an Owl cafe right behind the hotel. The room was also nice, it was big enough to open two of our big suitcase, (bigger then apa hotel) the bed was ok, not too hard, and they have a laundry machine in the 10th floor. The onsen was also ok. The reception was nice people.

The only thing was the sink. It was out in the room, like not in the shower or the toilet, but open on the room. But it was ok, if there is something there was a curtain that could seperate the space. And since I went with one of my sister, so was it ok. As long you go with someone that you are comfortable with, then it won't be a big deal.

This hotel was a great find. It was affordable and well located being an elevator ride from crysta nagahori which connected to both nagahoribashi and shinsaibashi stations. There was a large variety of food,shops and dotonbori all within walking distance. We booked two rooms a superior twin room and a comfort twin room which were next to each other. The superior room was a large spacious room with a large bathroom, two double beds, a table and chairs, a desk, fridge and kettle. The comfort twin was smaller however still very comfortably sized with a decent sized bathroom, two single beds, a desk, fridge and kettle. Amenities and sleepwear were provided. There was a shared lounge/kitchen space on the 2nd floor with a microwave and washer and dryers on the top floor next to the public baths. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and arranged our consecutive bookings for the same room. The cafe also offered a selection of breakfast to be ordered the day before and a free drink in the evening. The hotel accepted our luggage sent via Yamato and the bags were waiting in our rooms upon arrival which was very convenient.

The walls were a bit thin so it could be a bit noisy from neighbouring rooms. The traffic noise was also rather loud however it is expected due to the location - earplugs helped to block out the noise. You could forward your luggage from the hotel for collect on delivery not prepaid. There was a Yamato office located 3 minutes from the hotel which was convenient and very helpful in arranging our prepaid luggage forwarding

Location is great if you want to be near the busy part of Osaka. Everything was fresh and the room was quite spacious for being Japan, overall good price for what you got.

The only negative thing I have to say is that one morning when I went to order a take away coffee in the café they wanted me to wait outside of the hotel and write my name up on a list. I think as a paying guest at the hotel, having to wait in line outside of the hotel that you are paying to stay at together with non hotel guests especially when only getting a take away coffee is not good customer service.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel! The location is absolutely unbeatable — 2-3 minutes away from Dotonbori street, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Despite being in the heart of everything, the hotel is a peaceful oasis, providing a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-appointed, providing a very comfortable stay. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the delightful cafe on the first floor. The coffee is superb, and the food is very good. The staff at the hotel are a true highlight; they are incredibly kind, always smiling, and make sure every guest feels welcome and cared for. When checking-in my boyfriend and I received cute little gifts and free drink per person from 4pm to 10pm for every day of our stay. You can also leave your luggage for free at the hotel after check-out at 11am until 5 pm. The hotel also offers a range of fantastic facilities, including laundry services and a vending machine on the 10th floor. A wonderful bonus was the pool for women and men (separated) + sauna for women. Overall, this hotel provided an exceptional experience with its prime location, top-notch amenities, and outstanding service. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area — you won’t be disappointed!
