Modern hotel, well located in Osaka, few minutes from metro, few minutes from Dotonbori. Amazing breakfast ( more Western style with plenty of choice incl some traditional Japanese) Great, caring staff

This hotel made our trip to Osaka an amazing one. Everything was excellent- from friendly and helpful staff and service, delicious breakfast, to good room size and amenities. This place has everything you need including a laundry, coffee and water machines. It is conveniently located being so close to the metro stations, Shinsaibashi shopping street and many restaurants. We had no regrets staying here at all and would stay here every time we visit Osaka. A true gem. I'm also gluten intolerant and the staff did so much to accommodate for my dietary requirements every morning. A huge thank you to the Hotel The Flag team for the impeccable service and wonderful stay.

A modern, comfortable and clean hotel. The staff were excellent. The room was slightly larger than average (for Japan). Excellent bathroom, fantastic shower and toilet. The laundry facilities were superb - you still had to pay for them - but clean and modern. The tablet in the room even gave you a live update on which washers and dryers were being used and how long they had left on the current cycle. Amazing. Location was fantastic. Would stay here again.

We included breakfast in the price when we booked. If we hadn't pre-paid for breakfast, we wouldn't have gone back the next morning. It was a large buffet with a lot of options, but it was simply bizarre. Meatballs, curry, garlic bread, creme brulee, ice cream were some of the options...for breakfast? Each to their own, I guess. We'd definitely stay here again but without the breakfast. Just do yourself a favour and don't pre-book the breakfast. Pay for it as you go so you can decide for yourself when you're there. The balcony door only opens a crack. Enough to stick your smelly shoes through the gap so they can air overnight.

Really friendly staff. The location was fantastic. Lots happening in the area but was quiet in the hotel. 6 minute walk from the station using exit 5. Use google maps as it helps you to locate the closer exits. It was an easy 10 -15 minute walk to Dotonbori. There are lots of great restaurants and bars near by. Great little Spanish bar named Hemingway a short walk away. Very friendly bar tender. The paid breakfast was nice. They also offer free coffee and water. This was a huge bonus for us. We took a day trip to Himeji castle. Easy to get to Himeji by a 10 minute metro train and then the Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka station. Thank you to all the friendly team.

This was our second time staying here, and I honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else if travelling to Osaka. It is located centrally in Shinsaibashi, where you can spend the day just exploring the streets of cafes/bars/restaurants/shops and doing lots of shopping in PARCO/Suji shopping street. A short walk to the train station, Dotonbori, and Namba areas. We had a double room this time and it was spacious! It even had a Dyson hairdryer! Free coffee available 24/7 and fresh water + ice! A laundry room you can use for a small coin fee. The staff are also so lovely and make you feel very welcomed! It rained one day we were there and they had a bunch of umbrellas for use in the lobby to take and return. It’s also has a beautiful interior that makes you feel calm and relaxed!

Stylish & cool hotel, Japanese design aesthetic, local design products for sale in the lobby, staff were so friendly and helped out with umbrellas, courier, local restaurant recommendations. Room was stylish & comfortable, great aircon in the Japanese summer! So close to shopping areas, izakaya, convenience stores, etc. Fridge in room was useful to load up cold drinks for summer. Great breakfasts & coffee (they even had some local options to try like freshly made takoyaki -so good). I loved that they were eco-friendly with Kinto water bottles on loan, and only replaced towels + toiletries and emptied rubbish when requested (I stayed one week). Felt safe as solo female traveller.

Incredible hotel, could not be more happier. Clean, comfortable, offers amenities like washer/dryer room, unlimited filtered water (they can even give you free water bottles for the duration of your stay), ice machine, coffee station, and more. Awesome breafasts with a nice variery of options for food and drink. I expected a shoebox-sized room, but was pleasantly surprised - while it was not big by any measure, it was comfortable enough for the two of us. Bathrooms were clean and modern. The hotel sits within 5 min walk of multiple convenience stores and Shinsaibashi subway station, from which Shin-Osaka can also be quickly accessed. There are countless cafes and restaurants around the hotel.

Everything was great, way above my expectations

Breakfast was delicious & amazing with varieties of different types of food (salads, desserts, drinks, pasties, ice creams, Takoyaki, meat & eggs, etc.) Display of food area was stylish. All staff were very nice & helpful. Location of the hotel was very convenient. Having coffee machine, water dispensing machine (we realized about the reusable water bottle rental around half way through our 21 nights stay which came in so handy, coffee at hotel was very good taste (my husband said), umbrellas for hotel guests on 2nd floor was very useful until we bought umbrellas. Lounge area by the front desk was cool & relaxing. Fireplace was helpful on cold night.

More hooks in the bedroom walls & bathroom walls, additional outlet for the plugs on the headboard closer to window side would have been helpful since my iPhone charger cord was not long enough, & more counter space around bathroom sink would have been more useful. Windows were locked.

I am shocked that this hotel isn’t rated higher. We had an incredible 3-night stay in April 2025. Upon arrival, staff were super friendly and helped us organise everything for the stay. They recommended some fantastic eateries in the local area and tips on how to get around. We were also gifted a breakfast voucher for our honeymoon and the food was perfect! Lots of great options and delicious. There is a laundry onsite which has quick washing and drying options. There was also free coffee all day. Would 100% stay here again and will be recommending to all I know.

The facilities were amazing - the washing machines and tumble dryers were easy to use and very efficient. The vending machine was always stocked and the whole hotel was super clean I honestly couldn’t say enough nice things about the staff at this hotel, they were so helpful and kind helping us post postcards and transport our luggage. They also booked us into an emergency hospital when one of our group needed to see a doctor booking us a taxi to get there as well - it was lovely! The room was spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is really convenient- literally a 10 minute walk to dotonburi and shopping places are right round the corner.
