Unassuming, small hotel at the heart of Namba in Osaka. Friendly and helpful staff, who can speak English. This location has an elevator and breakfast is on site. Close enough to public transportation, walking distance (15-20minutes) to restaurants and shopping areas(Shinsaibashi, Dotunburi), across a 7-11 store, and 200 meters from a fish market with the freshest sashimi that you can get. We get a cab at the end of a long day (too tired to walk). Breakfast was good for the 1st few days, but gets tiring as it was the same menu everyday (we stayed for 7 days) Accommodation was fair to well. We got a 4bed apartment suite with a kitchenette, and a dining table for 4. Bedrooms are small, so our luggages have to be in the dining area. Bed mattresses are firm, and they provided only one pillow and a throw pillow. I had to request extra pillows but the hotel was full so there were none. They gave us instead 4 extra throw pillows. Beddings were clean. Toilet was separate from the tub/shower room, which is a plus for multiple guests. Shower pressure was strong. Shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash were provided. No hanging bars or hooks for towels or clothes. Overall, we enjoyed our stay (out mostly during the day, and back late at night to enjoy a good shower and sleep in). Price is good for 4 persons inclusive of breakfast.

Shower room too enclosed. We had to crank the door open to air it out. Recommend grab bars in the shower room for elderly to hold on. Recommend hangbars or hooks for clothes and towels. And maybe provide at least 2bedpillows for each person. Also, add variety to breakfast menu.

Hotel is located between two train stations with Namba Station being the most suited to multiple destinations for your travel experience. Hotel is located close by to Dotombori by walking distance. Hotel is located directly across from a 7/11 which is hugely convenient. The hotel has an easy check-in and out process. Hotel staff speak both clear English and Japanese. Hotel staff are friendly, caring, kind and respectful, which is accustom in Japan. The hotel restaurant is convenient for breakfast and/or dinner. It has a great selection for breakfast, including western food choices, beverages, fruit, bakery items etc. I did not engage the restaurant for dinner, however, if it is like breakfast, you are in good hands. We stayed in a two bedroom suite that come with WIFI, small dining table setting, cutlery, China, fridge and smart TV. Bathroom body wash, shampoo and conditioner included in stay. Beds were fine without being super comfortable and air conditioning included. Additional and complimentary items such as towels, tooth brush and paste etc all available for guests. Overall, I rate this as a great stay, I would highly recommend and would happily return.

There wasn’t anything I disliked.

Location, convenience, room space, cleanliness of room and hotel, room facility, staff. Checkin / checkout time are early but hotel has great location for storage (opposite of station) or you can also leave your stuff at hotel. So, it’s really convenient.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect for us.

This was my second stay at the S-presso. I really like the size and layout of the 3-person apartment. The beds aren't the best - small, and we had to re-arrange the layout a little - but the size of the apartment and kitchen amenities are very nice for a family of three. The breakfast is good. They offer free drink machine and coffee at night which is very appreciated. The location is about a seven-minute walk from Namba station and there are plenty of restaurants as well as a subway station nearby.

While the room has a little table with chairs for the group to gather, there was no sofa to relax on. I missed the shaved ice desserts they used to offer at breakfast!

This hotel is perfect for families. I travelled with my nearly 2-year-old, and the spacious room was ideal for her to move around and play. There was a comfortable sofa where she could sit, read her books, and watch TV. The room was well-equipped with a microwave, stove, cutlery, and pots and pans—everything I needed to prepare meals for my fussy eater. One of the highlights was the unlimited drinks available from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., which was a lovely touch. The hotel also decorated our room for our anniversary for a small additional cost, which made our stay feel even more special. The location was great—just a short walk to Dodonbury, and the train station was easily accessible. The staff were fantastic—so helpful and kind throughout our stay. I’ll definitely be returning!

Breakfast was just okay. There weren’t many vegetarian or halal options, but I was fine with just toast and tea.

The staff were very helpful during my stay, with the hospitality and service, especially the front desk manager, he was very helpful when we wanted to book our taxi service to the airport and communicating with us. Breakfast was nice too, with a variety of choices.

The water from the bathroom sink had an odour to it, whenever we wanted to use it we would avoid using it and used the one at the kitchen instead, and the size of the bathroom was quite cramped, but the rooms were big enough for three people with multiple suitcases and baggage to fit in the rooms.

The hotel was very modern and clean and our room was extremely spacious. It was in a fantastic location, close to Namba Station and it was lovely having the option to use the restaurant for breakfast as well as free soft drinks and tea/coffee from 4pm to 10pm. It was a really nice touch when it rained having the option to use the complimentary umbrellas. If we go back to Japan we would definitely stay at Hotel S-Presso Central again. This hotel exceeded our expectations.

Extremely happy with everything.

- Central location with multiple convenience stores within 3 min walk - The morning breakfast Buffett which was included free was as good as any buffett we have had anywhere - Pizza Hut , food mart x2 , a very good affordable halal Chinese restaurant all within 3 minute walk - Because of central location , a taxi ride to any place was affordable ( around 3000 -4000 yen for large taxi for our family of five . This is equivalent of 35-35 Australian dollars for most places) - the hotel is on is quiet street, so no traffic noise . - most importantly, no construction work anywhere close by.

- I found out that Japanese mattresses are not soft like mattresses we are used to elsewhere . So be mentally prepared for being a bit sore if you are over 50 . - one of the two rooms we had , had a bit of a smell to it, but it was only noticeable when you walked into the room only .

The location was pretty convenient and the breakfast was good - a wide variety of items to appeal to almost anyone. There's a 7-11 immediately across the street. There was little interaction with staff outside of the breakfast room staff - the front desk was usually empty. The room was quite large by Japanese standards and it was clean and pretty well appointed - including having a small kitchen I didn't take advantage of.

Odd and unpleasant chemically sort of smell in the corridor outside the room. Bed wasn't very comfortable - a bit too hard. Kind of charmless, but that's not a real complaint.
