I’ve stayed in a few Sotetsu Fresa Inns before in Tokyo, decided to give the one here in Sapporo a try because of my good past experiences with the brand and the affordable price. I think this could be the best stay i’ve had with them by far! First impressions — lobby was very spacious, ample space for luggage storage, friendly receptionists(can converse in English). Rooms were small as usual and expected, but clean. I absolutely loved how we could track the washing machines statuses from the TV in our room!(whether available or not, how many minutes left till cycle done) i’ve never been able to do that at their other hotels. this was a very convenient feature if you do need to do your laundry. They also provide tons of amenities in the reception. Location wise, i found it very convenient. Just 5-8mins walk to and fro airport bus drop off and pick up. Convenience stores just round the corner, many restaurants open till late night, close to the main shopping area, also located right next to a subway exit! I would definitely recommend this hotel if coming to visit Sapporo!!

Good location. Within walking distance to places like Nijo Market, Odori Park, Tanukikoji Shopping Street. Hosui Susukino Station Exit 4 is right outside the hotel. The hotel provided toiletries and other things like phone cable, power bank and everything that you may need at the lobby. There is also a coin laundry on level 2 and you can monitor the progress or availability in the comfort of your room TV.

We booked a connecting room and the rooms are small. One of our room is at a corner and it is slightly smaller than other rooms cos of the pillar. It will be almost perfect if the room is slightly bigger by about 3-5 sqm.

The hotel is conveniently located at Susukino Shopping Street, which makes it convenient for those who don't drive. A subway exit is located in front of the hotel entrance. Food options are aplenty. The rooms were the Japanese Standard size; however, they are clean, and the facilities are new. The beds were comfortable, and the blackout blind was the best! You can't tell it was bright daylight when it was fully closed.

There is always a long queue to use the Laundromat. Some inconsiderate guests left their laundry inside the washer without removing it on time. Luckily, the front desk offers service to remove and store it.

The room was reasonably comfortable and included everything that you would usually find in a hotel room. However, there were some extra goodies you could get from the foyer, such as shower caps, toothpaste, coffee sachets, hair treatments, etc. Although the bathroom was small, it was well appointed, even including a bathtub (that I definitely used after a few cold, wet, and tiring days) which wasn't too high to get into (which has sometimes been a problem elsewhere). Also, the staff were really helpful, even if our communication sometimes was a mixture of broken Japanese and English. Location was generally good with a wide range of food options and shopping.

There were a few minor issues. The room was a bit small, which is common in Japan. Luckily, I was on my own, so it wasn't too bad with opening luggage. It would be really tight if there were two people in there. Also, check-in was at 3pm, which again is common in Japanese hotels. I had been travelling all night, so I would have liked to get in a bit earlier. It's situated a bit far from Sapporo Station, but it's still walkable.

This is a great hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room we were given on the 7 th floor gave us a lovely elevated aspect of the city, the bed and shower were great, the laundry was convenient and the location, close to Odori Park was ideal. The toiletries provided were an added bonus There is a subway station (exit 4) outside the door too, so getting around is really easy . The elevator to the subway is from exit 6 which is an easy walk if one has heavy luggage. I can highly recommend this hotel and should we ever return to Sapporo, it would be my first choice.

Nothing to dislike

The manager Mr Hanuzawa is superb. Japanese hotels are very rigid-can’t check in before 3pm. We arrived 11am after a long overnight flight. We paid 1000yen for every hour if we check in before 3pm. That was great cos we’re in our 50’s. He speaks good English and is very helpful. All toiletries are collected at the lobby. Besides the usual toothbrush etc, we can have free bath salts for soaking in the bath tub, face masks, things other hotels don’t provide. I’ll call it 5 star hotel at 3 star prices. If you take the airport bus (number 84) the bus doesn’t stop right outside the hotel. It’s on a road to the left off the main road. My husband got lost after 10 minutes. We hailed a taxi and it costs only 700 yen I would advise that especially lugging 4 luggage bags-2 small and 2 medium. Staff are all very polite. The metro station is right outside the hotel. Easy to go sight seeing with that. Will definitely stay at this hotel again. There are no wardrobes as such in the rooms. Just an open area for hanging your clothes. That didn’t bother us though. We were ok with that

Excellent hotel. Buffet breakfast included in stay with dishes rotating every day so perfect for exploring for days. In the heart of Susukino so great location with less than 10mins walk to where the action is. There is a subway station right outside the hotel however this doesn't have lifts so would need to talk to Sapporo station to use the lifts (which is a very doable less than 15mins walk). Great staff and amenities provided which was very handy including hair curlers. Laundry machines available on site where you can even view how much time is left on your laundry from the comfort of your room. Big spacious room for Japan standards.

Check in time is standard for Japan but I've always found it a bit late at 3pm.. they allow you to leave your luggage safely though before check in so not too bad.

The train station, Hosuisusukino is just next door to the hotel which is very convenient at Exit 4 (Stairs only). For elevator, have to walk down to Exit which is slightly far down. Also, it’s about 10-15 mins walk from Minami 3jo Susukino bus stop for those taking airport bus from CTS. It’s nearby to convenience stores. Hotel rooms were cleaned for the connecting rooms. There was SMART TV like YT and NF. Overall it’s spacious by Japanese standards. You can store your luggage under the bed. Toilets were spacious enough. Staff counter were friendly and provided good service.

The hotel does not provide parking amenities. Other than that, everything else is good!

Location on a quiet street just off the main road, Hosuisusikino station on the blue Toho Line exit 4 literally in front of the main entrance. You can see it in the stock picture of the reception area. Lawson's and 7-11 just round the corner. Susikino main shopping just a couple of minutes away. The staff were friendly and spoke a decent level of English which was great for us as we speak next to no Japanese. Plenty of restaurants nearby but be prepared for long waiting times if you haven't booked in advance. Although not what we were here for, the Susikino adult entertainment area is minutes away by foot.

Maybe the room could have been bigger but this is Japan so I fully expected this. There was no closet or drawers to put our clothes is the only real negative I can think of.

Location is good. Hosui Susukino Exit 4 is just in front of the hotel entrance, which will connect you easily to major tourist spots. There’s a lot of foods option and convenience stores around the area. You can set the air conditioner temperature based on your preference which is good since most chain hotels have centralized air conditioners. Staffs are nice and helpful.

The carpet is kinda dusty. They don’t have free-to-use universal adapter, so you have to buy it for ¥650.
