Great breakfast choices each morning - mainly western (pastries, breads etc), great selection of Hokkaido milks and dary products, but also some Japanese (eg soba). Wonderful for fueling up before a day of ski:) Rooms are huge by Japanese standards, the onsen was very clean, and the free 10-min shuttle services each day to and back from the main Furano ski station (Ropeway and New Prince ski lifts) was very comfortable and well organised. We especially appreciated the chef (who also doubled up as driver), and Sony at the reception. Dinner was rather expensive, but there were lots of great options within 10 (and some, within 5 min walking distance) of Winery Hitohana.

The hotel could have given better, more detailed travel directions from Chitose airport to the hotel- I had asked for directions over 2 weeks before arrival, but did not get detailed enough info that the Hokkaido Resort Skyliner was the fastest and most convenient (no need to transit in Sapporo for the train) to the Kitanomine area of Furano.

Overall our stay in Winery Hotel was good. We had 2 rooms for our adult family of 5. The bigger room was great as there is a little kitchenette, it is on the ground floor and we could open the windows Because we booked different type of rooms, the smaller room was on another floor. One thing that I have not seen in oter Japanese hotels, which I thought was good is the way the hotel maanged the usuage of the washing machines and dryer (guest have indicate their room numbers when using the machine and the reception will help manage if the guest does not come back in time). Though there are only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers.

Maybe it is a comparison to another hotel in Furano, I did find the breakfast spread quite limited and the space rather tight. And the free wine, is really just a very tiny cup (like a sample cup in the supermarkets), so it was not as I had expected "like a little happy hour corner".

Buffet breakfast was excellent. I love the showcase of local Furano produce and the variety of dishes. We stayed 3 nights and I never felt more dishes was needed. I also thought the dishes was very well done. My favourite was the salad bar, the vegetable dishes and soups! I would however suggest adding a normal fruit jam to your range. Children tend to like jam with toast and the jams you had (beet, coconut etc) were not very good. You can have a rotating fruit jam such as strawberry, orange marmalade, blueberry etc. adding a maple syrup for the waffles would also be excellent. I thought it was great to also shoecase your winery’s different wines. We are from Perth Australia and have access to Margaret River and Swan Valley where excellent wines are produced and we enjoyed sampling the wines offered. It was a very pleasant and relaxed experience. Your staff were also very friendly, from the ladies who worked the front counter, I’m so sorry I can’t remember their names, but there was an Indian lady, a Vietnamese lady and a lovely Japanese young lady with glasses. They were all very courteous, helpful and warm. The chef and wait staff in your restaurant kitchen were also very warm and courteous and all your staff are commende for their dedication to their work.

I found your hot bath in the ladies area to be a little small and the tile edges were a little sharp and jncomfortable. I realise that can’t be changed. But amenities within the bath can be upgraded a little more as I found it a little basic. For instance, having a body moisturiser along with the existing face lotions would be nice. Having a clock in the room to help people take note of time would be good. Also, having a face foaming cleaner in the shower cleaning stall would be a nice touch.

Great hotel, about 200 meter walk max to the Gondola. Staff were very friendly, breakfast OK, Onsen not traditional but nice facilities and great for soaking in. Rooms a good size, had a small bar fridge, good bathroom facilities. Overall very happy with our stay. Carpark not onsite but literally a 2 minute walk up the hill on the right. Hotel shuttle up to the slopes. Value for money as I booked early. Some good restaurants within walking distance but need a car or taxi into main town.

The room was a decent size, clean and had access to entertainment options so we could watch TV in bed after a long day on the hill. Shower was great and the lavender products were lovely, beds were comfortable. Great view of the hill from our bedroom. One of the nicest places we've stayed throughout Japan (4th trip here) The breakfast buffet was great. Located super close to the hill (about a 7 min walk uphill to the gondola station) and the staff were lovely and so helpful with getting us around and recommendations. And the wines were lovely. Tastings were available daily.

Stayed here as a family of 4, while skiing in Furano. Hotel was lovely, and our suite was very spacious. Facilities for ski/snowboarders are great - storage room downstairs and a courtesy shuttle will transport you to Rhythm for ski hire, to the nearby gondola at Kitanomine or 10 mins to the Furano gondola. The excellent hotel staff spoke English and were able to assist with restaurant reservations. The breakfasts were fantastic, as was the hotel onsen. Highly recommend for anyone skiing in the area.

This is a boutique hotel . We had one of the larger rooms which was very comfortable and immaculate. The free washer dryers were extremely handy and the hotel indoor onsen never busy The staff were exceptional. Not intrusive but there when needed They also very kindly forwarded me my small jewellery case which I had left in the room The location was great for access to the ski lifts and the restaurants in Kitanomine.

Minor point … would have been good to have a non-sugary breakfast cereal available .

We like the complimentary drinks at the lobby and the onsen. The rooms were lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm very amazed at how the staff can do multiple roles, like the chef also drove the shuttle van, the receptionist also served food at the restaurant and cleaned the onsen.

It would be wonderful if you can secure a spot nearer to the hotel as the carpark. The current carpark is a little far to walk in the freezing cold. The drop off point is also a little small.

Cosy petite modern hotel . Location good. Very good friendly service at reception and at restaurant . Some English speaking staff . Very Clean, modern furnished twin room with small sofa , well designed , compact , with good quality toiletries . Separate toilet from shower . Restaurant menu is good for the size of this hotel , food is delicious esp the beef stew , must make advance reservation esp when hotel is high occupancy. Breakfast buffet ok , but has more western than Japanese food. Free wine n drinks , coffee n tea at lobby . Free Wine tasting . Hotel open carpark is a few minutes walk up slope. , can be a challenge in snowy weather. Didn’t try the spa . Stayed 2 nites in late June . Would recommend tis hotel .

Breakfast although good , delicious , can be better with more bread choices and Japanese dishes. This comment is in consideration of the room rates .

The best staff we have encountered. Extremely warm and welcoming. The hotel itself was extremely clean and cozy. The lounge area with coffee machine and books was so peaceful to sit in while we waited for rain to subside. The public bath (not a hot spring) was very relaxing too.

Parking was a short walk away. Not a big deal overall but on one of the days it was raining heavily so it was slightly annoying. Not complaining though!
