Hotel is located 2 min walk from the bus stop to Kamikochi, it is very spacious, there are washing machines available, small onsen in the property, plus access to very big onsen 5 minutes away.

Not really a negative, but maybe good to know that the only way to shower is at the public baths (onsen), no shower in the bedroom (only toilet).

Comfy beds, and free ticket to enjoy the nearby onsen, which has a great outdoor bath.

Very few options as far as convinience stores go, and the ones in the bus station or the nearby ryokan don't seem to restock very often, so take it into account if you plan to get your meals that way.

This is the perfect place. The room smells new, is spotlessly clean, and has amenities for your comfort, both in the room and at the reception. I stayed on days with very low temperatures, and the room was a warm and clean refuge. Like all traditional places in Japan, the bathroom is separate from the room area, which increases the feeling of cleanliness. Use the onsen at the hotel itself, and you also get vouchers to use the main Hirayuno Mori, for a price well below the main hotel. A fantastic experience!

If you have Chinese neighbors, or even worse.. with children... it will be a bit difficult stay if you are sensitive to noise, as the walls are thin, but if you ask the reception they will talk to this family and little by little they will realize that in Japan the rule is to be silent!

The room was big, and the stay included a ticket to the big onsen nearby. The facility also had an onsen of their own. Convenient location.

The walls of the room were a bit stained, and the lighting of the room was not that cozy, but nothing that would bother too much.

Really large room for Japanese standards. Toilet and sink, no shower - you use the one at the onsen as per Japanese custom. Very comfortable bed and staff very helpful. You get free tickets to use the large outdoor onsen about 5 mins walk away - what an incredible experience.

Slightly dated but very clean and otherwise authentic.

Getting tickets to Hirayu no Mori onsen was amazing. The staff was very nice and kindly let us sit in the common area until check in. They also held luggage for us, which I appreciate very much. The onsen itself in the hotel was also very great. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

It's near the station. The in-house hot bath is good n very clean. The public onsen is excellent , about 10 minutes walk from the hotel.. The tickets for the public onsen is a bonus. They allowed us to leave our luggage after check out

Great location near Kamikochi. Friendly staff and easy check-in. The room was really big although a bit chilly. The best was definitely the onsen experience: the best I've been, so far. There was one in the annex itself and in the main building.

The view was great, the beds were comfy, they gave us tickets to go to the main onsen which was amazing and they even rented us some snow shoes to go walking around the ski resort. Nice place to stay I recommend and I would come again.
