The staff is amazing, ready to help and always smiling. The common space is really cosy, with tables and sofas. There's a small breakfast with sandwiches/toasts and tea/coffee is always available. The shower on the 2nd floor is nice, with shampoo/conditioner/body wash as well as body lotion. The hostel is very clean. There's a Lawson almost next door and you're close to the main station. There is 2 washing machines available
The bunkbeds aren't really confortable and if the dormitory door is locked, it's noisy when someone opens it. The lockers are located inside of the dorm, which can be noisy as well when people don't really care

This facility was a great option for staying in Tokushima. The breakfast was simple, but delicious. The staff also had good recommendations for activities to do in the area and helped me have a great itinerary. I didn't participate, but there was also fun activities at night for travelers looking to stay in. It will help to know a little Japanese for staying here, most of the other travelers were not English speakers.
The actual bed/room was a little bit smaller than other hostels I've stayed at. Overall it was adequate. The bathroom/shower situation was a little awkward. If you stay here, you'll need to go down a floor using the elevator to shower or use the bathroom at night.

Super friendly staff. All chilling in the shared space doing origami and you can join them for a chat and make some cute things together. They'll help you with anything you need.
This place is often used by people doing the ohenro pilgrimage. So at 5am they're all packing their bags and setting off, it's quite annoying for those who want to sleep in. It would help if you instruct guests to pack their bags up out in the hall if its super early. Also the top bunks don't have anything to block out the light. And the automatic lights come on whenever someone walks past, so I was woken up all night.

The hostel was comfortable and the beds were good, although slightly small if you are tall. Even though there were lots of people in the room, everyone was respectful of the light out time and being quiet at night. The facilities were great and there was even breakfast included. We enjoyed spending time here and meeting other pilgrims in the common areas. The staff were super friendly and helpful, with lots of local recommendations. The location, super convenient!

The hostel is a short walk from the train station and they had super friendly staff there. Great atmosphere in the lobby/common area, with plenty of tourist info about Tokushima and various hiking routes (including the 88 temple route). Good privacy in the dormitory once you've closed your bunk curtain. Didn't try the breakfast though, not sure what it was like!
The dormitory beds were quite firm and uncomfortable, as I tend to prefer a softer mattress. Not exactly the most secure hostel (i.e. anyone can walk in from the street and the dormitory door was frequently unlocked) but fortunately this is Japan, so I didn't feel too insecure about my valuables. :)

The place is in a conveniently located part of town near the station, mall, riverside and nightlife district. The room itself was a standard business hotel room for that price range. The bed was weirdly soft, though. Not a bad thing though. The staff were nice and the shared space had a nice vibe - a shame my stay was too brief to really enjoy it. I wanted that breakfast... Damn ferry... Also they let me keep my bike on the first floor, cool!
The bath was not working at the time of.my visit and the toilet made a weird noise when flushing. The walls are thin - you'll hear everything if your neighbors are a bit loud even in a private room! Also the lack of stairs and only one elevator for six floors means a lot of waiting at times.

I was in the capsule dormitory and that was perfect. Really calm. The beds were comforable. Everything was clean. I booked at first the mix dorm but since there was enough place in the female dorm the staff offer me to exchange and even to choose between lower bed and upper bed. The hostel is located in central city which makes it easy to go to tourist attractions. The breakfast was also good. It was toast and you could choose what to put on top (jam, egg, butter, ham, cheese).

I stayed in the PAQ dormitory. The facility is well run and the staff is very friendly. It is a poular gh for the pilgrims following the Shikoku pilgrimage route. Price is good and breakfast was also good. I am travelling by bicycle. They have an excellent indoor area to store your bicycle. It is a multilevel gh but has an elevator that works well.
The dormitory was quite compact and has many beds. It was adequatel but not the best sleeping environment.

It was really nice to have breakfast available (it was boiled eggs, ham, cheese, instant soup, white bread, instant coffee and tea). The staff were friendly and helpful. I only stayed for a night and left early in the morning, but I can imagine a longer stay would be fun for people travelling alone too because the lobby area is built to encourage conversation:) Lot s of books and information in many languages about the area too. Also accommodates cyclists:) I had a single room with two beds which was great.
I get cold easily but because I was staying alone in a room with two beds I could take the blanket from another bed. If you get cold easily, I would ask ahead of time if it is possible to get more blankets or bring something extra.

Hostel in a good location, close to the station and a conbini. Staff was super nice and helpful. They allowed me to store my luggage while I was walking for a few days, which many hotels will refuse even if you will stay there again. It was nice that there was some breakfast offered for free (although not super filling).
It was somewhat uncomfortably warm in the dorms. Like everywhere in Japan, bathrooms are quite small. Lockers are only large enough to store a few small valuables, no (small) bags.
