The location of the hotel was a 3 min walk away from kinrinko lake and there's also a convenient store right next to it. The room and bed was comfortable with yukata, hairdryer, amenities provided. At the lobby there's a freeflow coffee, tea, cold/warm water. There are plates and cuttleries available for use, just make sure to return them at the tray return corner.

The downside was there was no shower in the room itself. Likely cause it's the way they ran the hotel, the shared "onsen", which is likely just hot water, is only available in the lobby. You have to wait in turns to use it. Don't really recommend if you're here for an onsen experience, cause it really just felt like hot water, 1 time it was just luke warm...

The staff was lovely and helpful and there’s an area where you can get a cup of tea, water etc The room was comfortable and also had a basin and toilet. Just the bath tub is shared, you’re supposed to use the onsen. They provide a yukata and slippers too. Location is good for the places of interest, but it’s far from the station when you have to push a heavy luggage and walk among the hundreds of tourists. All in all though, much better than what I thought it would be!

There are some things I didn’t like, but they didn’t particularly impact the stay. But here it goes: single rooms genuinely have zero space. I had a backpack and a luggage and not much room for movement! I thought that was a little excessive. The outside onsen is a little sad. It needs an extra touch to become a little more friendly to the eye.

In room onsen, our family loved the traditional tatami style bedroom, it was very cosy. Onsen at the back was small but enough for our family of four. Location was very convenient, 5 minutes walk to floral street.

Most dining areas were closed by 5pm, so closest restaurant require driving 5 minutes. Parking was limited, and space was tight for larger SUV.

send now the technology in Japanese about the toilet is going up so far but this hotel not have something like that. You know it's cold when I use it. it's likeold toilet.

The private onsen was great for family!

Should have time limit for onsen, like 45mins block? So that the next guest can just come down to use it rather than sit at lobby to wait for it.

Location is close to Kinrinko Lake and Yunotsubo street. Good to be at Kinrinko much early before the crowd arrives.

Delightful boutique hotel, simple and comfortable. The rooms for single occupancy are tiny but very nice, with everything you need. The onsen is wonderful, especially currently, as due to corona they are functioning as private baths. The shared space for relaxing or dining is beautifully designed with the foreign tourist in mind, i.e. Japanese prints with Western antique tables and chairs, and simple but stylish dishes and cups available for use (there is also a toaster oven, microwave and hot water pot, but no kitchen).

There was no effort by the staff to be welcoming. Professional of course, but lacking warmth. I had read in other reviews that free coffee and tea are available, but if you're a coffeeholic, be warned and take your own. Both coffee and tea are sachets of instant powder.

Excellent location with few minutes walking to Kinrin Lake and 15mins to Yufuin Station. You can also enjoy indoor or outdoor private onsen for free but you might have to wait for a while when they are occupied.

Add bath to each room to make it perfect. The absence of bath is a big inconvenience and lack of privacy.
