The location is near to almost everything, so there are no worries about where to eat to go out, the price is reasonable the room was comfortable

more variety of food at breakfast, water pressure was a bit low, the mattress was a bit unstable and needed to be attached a bit better to the base of the bed, the Wifi was also not very stable

We LOVED our stay at New Merryland Hotel. What makes our stay so exceptional is really in the details, from the creatively folded towels when we came in the room, to the exceptional cleaning service, to the delicious pancakes/ omelette station at the breakfast buffet. The hotel manager is extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful, and gave us recommendations/ ensure we have all we need before we head out for the day. At the end of our stay we also got some Dead Sea bath salt as a souvenir to bring back. On the hotel location, it is very well situated near popular restaurants, city viewing points, and walking distance from attractions. There is also a very helpful self guided tour from the hotel that you can download. We can’t recommend this hotel enough - if you are coming to Amman definitely stay here, it’s truly the home away from home we needed.

On the corner of a main road going to the centre. Like much of Amman the street is scruffy and soulless but the hotel lobby is clean and welcoming. You are about 10-15 minutes walking from a good restaurant and bar area and about the same in taxi from the chic bar and restaurant area around Rainbow Street. So fairly central but you aren't going to walk to the sights. The rooms are mixed. Our first one was oddly cramped and run down (we had booked a double and our friend got a larger single with a double bed) but they were happy to change us for a really large suite at no cost. Our friends had good rooms too. The rooms are functional - there is no views to speak of - but they are comfortable. Hot water etc works well. Downstairs is a dining room for breakfast. Cheerful staff cook eggs and waffles. The selection is good. Great value for money. This is a great hotel for a budget holiday where you just want a clean bed and a pleasant staff and are happy to explore for yourself. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful.

From the moment I arrived at New MerryLand Hotel, I felt genuinely welcomed. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, but few have left such a lasting impression — thanks to the incredible staff. Every interaction was warm, professional and sincere. They went the extra mile to ensure I had everything I needed and I was allowed to store my luggage there. Housekeeping was outstanding as well — discrete, efficient, respectful. My room was spotless every day. The hotel itself is clean and well-located between Downtown und King Abdullah I Mosque. Ten minutes by foot you can enjoy a beautiful view over Amman, e.g. at Manara. It was the people who truly made this stay unforgettable. If you’re considering staying at New Merryland Hotel: don’t hesitate!

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were very nice and attentive, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing! A particularly sweet touch was when the staff served teddy bear-shaped pancakes with Nutella to all guests at breakfast. When we encountered a minor inconvenience caused by another guest, it was resolved immediately after a quick call to reception, and we were even given a thoughtful small gift as an apology.

Our room's walls were somewhat thin, so you might occasionally hear noise from the hallway. If you're a light sleeper or very sensitive to noise, I'd recommend bringing earplugs just in case.

I stayed at the NewMerryland Hotel for three nights. During my visit (March 2025), the hotel was undergoing renovations, so there was quite a bit of construction noise. Since it was off-season and everything needs renovations, that's perfectly fine with me. You just have to know. I assume they'll definitely be finished by the time the season starts. To compensate, I was able to have my laundry done for free and even enjoy breakfast. The hotel is a bit outside of the new town. But you can get anywhere by taxi. But you can reach the main attractions on foot (about 30 minutes). I was there during Ramadan, so there are some restrictions to be aware of. Opening hours may have changed, or shops may be closed. But if you know that, you can adjust. There are a few smaller shops nearby where you can still buy a few things. The staff was definitely great and took care of everything. The room was cleaned every day, towels changed, etc.

Everything! From the location to cleanliness to the amazing staff… even their breakfast! We could not ask for more!!! We landed in early morning in Amman and reached the hotel around 10 am. We knew our check in was at 3 pm and we were a bit frustrated about getting tired after a long flight and waiting to get our rooms. But hats off to the amazing staff… they did not only arrange an early check in at 10 am but they also gave us free breakfast…. how amazing!!! Another good part is: all other hotels in DT Amman are very noisy because of the location and roads and traffic. This hotel is literally 3 min drive from DT (we paid 1.5 JOD one way every time we took Uber). And the result was fantastic: no noise around and bonus was: it was 30 seconds walk from the famous Salah ad Din Bakery!!!

We had a wonderful experience at New Merryland Hotel in Amman. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city’s main attractions either on foot or by a short ride. The hotel itself is very clean and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. One of the best parts of our stay was the exceptional friendliness of the staff. Everyone was warm and helpful throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. A special thank you to Khaled, who went above and beyond — not only did he recommend some fantastic places for us to visit, but he also shared the stories and history behind each spot, which added so much value to our experience. Thanks to him, we discovered some hidden gems we would have never found on our own!

Superb location, excellent front desk service and value for money.. Just for 1 or 2 JOD for taxi you can reach most of the point of interest in Amman. Just 10 mins walk from this hotel to Paris Square where you get a best vibe similar to Rainbow street. Cant leave without saying a big thanks to Mr.Mohamed who catered all our requests from arranging day trips, early breakfast and supplying enough water without any request from our end. He even packed us breakfast for our early morning 5'o clock flight.
