I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a mixed bag of experiences. While the prices could be more budget-friendly considering the services provided, there were several standout aspects that made the stay enjoyable. Firstly, the room could definitely use a fresh coat of paint, and the absence of complimentary water was disappointing. However, what truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service provided by Saif, the receptionist. His helpful and friendly demeanor truly made the hotel feel like home. Despite the shortcomings, the hotel excels in flexibility. Saif went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, providing us with an iron and hair dryer upon request. This level of attentiveness and willingness to cater to guests' needs is commendable. The hotel's location is another highlight, conveniently situated close to various attractions and amenities, with the added bonus of parking facilities for guests with vehicles. In summary, while there are areas for improvement such as pricing and room amenities, the outstanding service provided by Saif, coupled with the hotel's flexibility and prime location, make it a worthwhile choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking a comfortable stay.

We highly recommend this hotel 10* The man on reception was so lovely and very helpful. One of the days our air con wasn’t working properly and he came up straight away and sorted it for us, nothing is too much trouble. We ended up booking to stay here again for another 2 nights whilst exploring Jordan. He works very hard, and it pays off. Very spacious rooms. Nothing is too much trouble. We enjoyed our stay. Within walking distance to the main streets and old town, 20 minutes walk from the citadel.

Th best thing about this hotel is the staff it was feeling like home when we stay there specially Mr.saif with his kindness and supportive guy and Mr.Ahemd helped us to not get scammed which we nearly fall for it and he helped us waiting for us outside the hotel

There were 2 things that can be improved which is the toilets can habe lock door / fully soundproof doors with airout not all the rooms have airout in the toilet another things drinking water is not always available.

It is super central, conveniently located just a 10min walk from Downtown Amman. The breakfast is local but very delicious and changes every day (got a shawarma on day 1, hummus+sides on day 2, etc.) The staff is very kind and friendly.

It is a little bit dated... Also, it would be great to have a more concrete closet or another surface to put things on than the slightly weird shelving in the corner.

The architecture of the hotel is from another world. French high halls with a mix between modernity and old, it gives you an idea about another part of Jordan history that no one talks much about. The staff were the nicest people I met in Jordan (and Jordanian are quite nice people), very helpful, and understanding. They were always checking on us to make sure we were having a nice stay. The prices were amazing, close to the city centre 7min walk!

The hotel needs some renovation, especially the showers!

Very central place next to the main street and markets in the town, 24/7 reception with helpful staff, big room with comfortable bed, many additional services

The room is above one if the main streets and for some people the traffic could be very noisy, the bathroom is a bit small and not very well separated from the room

The location is great, it’s also cheap. However, the place needs deep cleaning. The place is managed by only 1 man so it’s understandable. We saw him doing it all. We forgot his name but he’s really nice and helpful

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at City Citadel! From the moment I arrived, Saif, the managing host, made me feel like welcomed. The hotel itself is a few minutes walking from downtown Amman. Saif went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. He was always available to assist with any questions or recommendations, whether it was arranging transportation or suggesting the best local restaurants. The hotel offers nice daily breakfast. Without a doubt, I'll be returning to City Citadel on my next visit to the city. Highly recommended!

Mr. Seif was an exceptionally hospitable host, always ready to provide all the necessary information and support throughout our stay. Location in the heart of the city, all the amenities available in the walking distance with various options to choose for eating.

Room was not as per expectation, AC capacity was not as per the room requirement and lacks cooling

The owner/staff, Mr. Zaid is friendly and helpful. The location just perfect to explore around the city and tourism attraction such as Citadel old city, Roma Amphitheater, Bazar, Food and Restaurant, Mosque those are Moslem and looking for pray and much more. All just set as my expectation.

For the hotel since its budget hotel, dont put much expectation, if you are looking for good location, well sleep, and simple breakfast, this is should be your choice. The thing that may not exceeding my expaction is breakfast time where is start quite late at 830am, should at least at 7am for breakfast. Especially if you have tour start in the morning, then you dont have a chance to get the breakfast! Or if your flight in the early morning, you also dont have a chance to enjoy the breakfast too.
