The location is spectacular, right in the heart of downtown Amman. Plenty of alternatives to eat, drink tea and smoke shisha. The Wifi is good enough and the rooms are comfortable. Excellent value for money.

We paid for the hotel online before arriving, however, the person at the front desk said he didn't receive the money and took cash from us and refused to give it back, despite showing him the proof that we paid over the app, and email. He mentioned that we should fix it directly with booking. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for a resolution. However, the place is so affordable, that is not a big issue, but just be mindful of a situation like this.

Cliff Hostel in the heart of Amman is an absolute gem for budget travelers! The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions or needs, making you feel right at home. The location couldn’t be better – right in the bustling downtown area, close to major attractions like the Roman Theater and Rainbow Street. Plus, it’s super affordable, making it perfect for travelers on a budget. They also offer fantastic tours all over Jordan, making it easy to explore places like Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea. Highly recommend staying here!

Phenomenal hosts - the nicest people. Gave you accurate and helpful advice for everything from where to eat to how much to bargain for. Many hosts will mislead you, especially on the price of goods, but not them. Having stayed in four other hostels in Amman, they were certainly the best hosts. Hostel is located right in the heart of the downtown. Costs of living are low and there is a wonderful nightlife every day of the week. Would highly recommend getting a room with A/C for a stay anytime between April and October as the heat just sits in the downtown at night. Beds were comfortable and clean. Two shared showers/two shared toilets and sinks in every room (I believe).

The people working there were very kind and helped us with everything. The price is good for the location - which was in my opinion the prettiest and most lively street in Amman. I liked that there was a sink in the room. They also let us leave our bags in the hostel the last day when we checked-out which was very helpful.

The toilets were sometimes wet and you have to bring your own toilet paper. The rooms are a bit crammed, and the beds are not most comfortable but there is a curtain on each bed to gain some privacy. Not a negative, just a heads up: The parking is "kind off" free. If you wish you can leave the car on the street above the restaurant which is across the hostel but we got no real guarantee that the we will not get a ticket. Given we got one a few hours prior to this, we didn't want to risk it and had to pay for parking 4 JD per night. We got to keep our keys though.

The place allows for early check-in and late checkout. The manager/owner is really nice, trustworthy, and flexible when it comes to arranging for tour and driver. The owner/manager of the place took extra care of us in ensuring that we had a great time in Amman. The room was spacious and clean, and it came with a private sink and air conditioning. Towels and extention cable were provided upon request. Nice communal area that comes with TV and fridge. Well located with lots of eateries, sourvenir shops and supermarkets. Felt like a safe neighbourhood.

It's just hot during the summer, could highly recommend to top up for a room with air conditioning.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was right in the heart of Amman, and was a walking distance to a couple of the major tourist attractions like The Amman Citadel and the Roman theater. It was also in close proximity with the country's highest rated restaurants like Hashem. The rooms I stayed in were well ventilated and the bathroom was very clean. The best part was the owner, Fouad, his son, George and the rest of the staff. There were very honest, and went above and beyond for my friend and me. They personally took us in their rides to tourist locations and made sure we were okay at all times. I highly recommend this hostel/hotel and doubt I would have been able to enjoy Jordan to the extent I did if it was not for the help of the wonderful people here.

I personally thought everything was okay. I had not used a shared bathroom in a while, but this was very clean and I did not mind. Good experience.

Fantastic value in a great location, easy walking distance to The Citadel, Roman Ampitheater, and Rainbow Street. Tons of shopping and dining in the immediate vicinity. Staff was extremely helpful with recommendations and arranging transportation to Petra, Madaba, the Dead Sea and more. The balcony provides a great vantage point for hours of people watching.

While we had no problem at all with any of these issues, other travelers should definitely be aware. Access is strictly a walk up to the third floor with no elevator. The shared bathrooms could be an issue for some visitors. The facilities are quite cozy, but extremely basic; if you are looking for a modern, Western style stay, this one is not for you.

Our stay in Amman was truly special thanks to the incredible hospitality of our host. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed, but what really stood out was how kind and welcoming the host was.

Very basic room in an old building right in the centre of Amman. Long balcony facing the busy street in the reception room where you can sit and see busy life passing by. We arrived very early in the morning and the reception let us in at 7,30 am! So nice people.

I honestly recommend this hostel! It's the best choice in terms of budget. It was quite clean, even the toilet and shower. 24 hours hot water, decent water pressure. Our room was clean and the small lavatory and mirror in there was perfect! It's actually a worthy stay. Super nice WiFi, even for work, well-educated staff and location fantastic!

I would love to have towels, but there isn't. The only thing I could recommend to improve ;)
