The staff was amazing! So helpful, kind and courteous! They helped arrange for a vehicle and driver to take us to Mt Nemo and then the next day to Petra and a couple days later to the airport. They provided discounts to local coffee shops and restaurants close by due to the top floor restaurant under renovation. Easy walk to local shops and museums. The city of Mosaics!

The hotel was under new management and they were doing a lot of renovations to the restaurant and some rooms, but the restaurant was closed. It is a work in progress. Also the call to prayer from the local mosque felt like it was in your room.

The bed was sooo comfortable. The fridge was cold so that was nice. The room was clean and bedlinnen as well. Hotel Staff incredible friendly. Location right in city center. Also, I got upgraded during check-in which was nice.

The room comes with a balcony which is a nice extra to have as a smoker. However, the whole balcony was full of sand/dust residue so when u go back in your room, you leave a lot of footprints behind on the white floor... Also there is no ashtray on the balcony. Also I had no hot water, It was not too cold either so I guess it doesn't really matter too much Overall, I was happy with my stay here.

We stayed at the hotel for our first night in Jordan. The best thing about the hotel is the location—it is within walking distance of the archaeological site. From the terrace, you have an almost 360° view of Madaba, and you can hear the mosque prayer call and the church bells—very beautiful. We were greeted by Mark, who was very helpful. We had breakfast there, which was OK: bread, cake, olives, hummus, egg, tomatoes, cucumber, labneh, coffee, or tea. Overall, it is a great value for money.

Our stay at St. John Hotel Madaba was consistently pleasant and well-organized. The hotel’s location is highly practical, situated within a short walk (about 3 minutes) to St. George’s Church and the Madaba Archaeological Park, making it ideal for exploring the town’s historical sites. The rooms are clean and functional, with comfortable beds and modern amenities like reliable Wi-Fi and a well-maintained bathroom. We appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which allowed for restful nights after daytime excursions. Staff members were professional and attentive without being intrusive. The front desk provided clear maps and straightforward advice for visiting nearby attractions, and housekeeping kept the room spotless daily. At the rooftop restaurant, the breakfast buffet offered a good variety of local and international options, including fresh bread, eggs, and Jordanian specialties like labneh and olives. Dinner dishes were flavorful and reasonably priced, with the grilled chicken and vegetable mezze being highlights. The hotel owner also a very gentlemanly, enthusiastic, creative person who has a passion for art. I'm really grateful for the hospitality, highly recommend this hotel if you visit Madaba

Decent hotel at a great location, right in the city centre with ample parking spaces. The breakfast was delicious and the rooftop terrace was lovely. The room was decent and the beds were large and comfy. The only issue was the bathroom was not super clean but it was still usable. The water started of as not hot but contacting reception got it sorted in minutes. The best thing was the staff, Mark was great and very helpful, he sorted out our hot water and he was very useful when asking for things like cash, driving to other countries or cities, places to eat or shop and things to do. During breakfast he was very helpful and accommodating and did everything we asked if he could.

The location is perfect and it’s well worth staying here just for the terrace. They even had a couple of vegan options on the menu which were all local dishes. The staff were so helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my friends and I were looked after and had all we needed. The terrace has a 360 degree view over the city and I got to see sunset and sunrise which was just amazing. I’ll never forget my stay here.

The property is slowly being renovated so there are a few aspects that can be improved upon, but this is all being addressed in the renovation.

I had a wonderful stay here! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect — close to all the main attractions as well as some great restaurants and cafes. Marc was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making sure I was comfortable. Since I was leaving late at night and would miss the free breakfast the next day, he even thoughtfully prepared a box of snacks for me. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting!

It was the first hotel ever where I ate strawberry at breakfast. Room was very clean, comfortable beds, soft pillows. Slippers and shower set. Breakfast is traditional, but fruits exists, tea with fresh mint, coffee and juices. Location is perfect , in the city Center close to all shops. There is no problem with car parking. There are a lot of places in the street and also exists parking area behind the hotel.

Roof top is closed. So, if you plan to have breakfast with city view, it will not work. Seems, it is closed for very long time already.

To be honest there was nothing that I disliked. This was a small cute place and I loved it.

All the staff at Saint Johan are very welcoming, it feels like home. They have suggested us great place to have dinner which has made our staying even more exceptional.
