Location, Breakfast, Room.. Everthing... Best Hotel in Petra, The Hotel is just opposite of Petra Entrance, Staff is amazing, I accidentally booked superior room, requested reception to show me Family Suite, Mr. Ahmad showed me the room in a very humble way and he even upgraded my room to family suite without any charge. We spent the evening at the Bar and it had live music, Bar Tender, Bar staff were very humble and attentive. Amazing Staff and people.

My repeat stay. First time was 2014. What does that you about Movenpick Petra?

Movenpick must be careful not to be seen to be mercenary, fleecing their guests with very ridiculous prices. But the sudden Israel Hamas conflict brought their prices down to earth.

I had a wonderful experience, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the staff. Mr. Ahmad from Guest Relations went above and beyond, offering me a better room than the one I had initially booked. He also arranged for a fantastic tour guide, who helped me gain a deeper understanding of the area. The breakfast manager and the entire breakfast staff were outstanding, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every morning. Additionally, Mr. Salamen (I believe this is his name) was incredibly gracious—he provided me with a variety of Dead Sea products and ensured my room was always spotless. Overall, the hospitality and attention to detail made my stay truly memorable. I highly appreciate their efforts and would gladly return!

I had separate bookings one for a regular room and one for the Royal King Suit, as we were a night away in between the hotel made sure to keep some of our luggage overnight which was super helpful. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing. The rooms as well. For the Royal King Suit there are 2 different options the 3rd floor which has the seating room with a walkway around the iconic rotunda, this room is smaller but very cozy and beautiful room. and the second option is the floor right underneath which is a bigger room with beautiful balconies all around and a small kitchenette. The hotel prepared the room beautifully celebrating our special moment. We requested to switch rooms as we wanted the iconic rotunda, and the hotel than topped it off by also decorating that room and move us over. All in all great experience.

I had a fantastic stay at Mövenpick Petra Resort and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Petra! We arrived late at night (around 11 PM) after a long day touring Wadi Rum, and the warm welcome from the staff immediately lifted our spirits. The refreshing welcome drink was a perfect touch after hours of traveling. Before our trip, I emailed the hotel about my husband’s birthday, hoping for a little surprise. While the receptionist revealed the room decoration during check-in (oops!), I still deeply appreciated the effort they put into making our stay special. They even offered to send a birthday cake at our convenience—when it arrived the next day, it was a beautifully presented, heart-shaped strawberry cake that tasted amazing! Location The hotel is in an amazing location, directly opposite the Petra entrance. It was incredibly convenient, just a short walk away—perfect for exploring Petra without any hassle. Architecture & Design The hotel’s exterior was nice, but the interior truly amazed me. Stunning arches, textured tiles, beautiful light fixtures, and a high-ceiling courtyard created a breathtaking atmosphere. The balconies and windows overlooking the atrium made it even more charming. Room & Comfort Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed. The best part? The bed—it was incredibly comfortable, and we slept like babies throughout our three-night stay. Exceptional Staff A huge shoutout to the amazing staff who made our experience unforgettable! They were genuinely warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Special thanks to: • F&B team: Fouad, Mouad, Cassandra, Assel, Ziad, Mohammad, Ahmad, Amani • Housekeeping: Ismail (supervisor) and another kind staff member (whose name we, unfortunately, missed) who helped with our luggage and even sang a birthday song when we entered the decorated room!

Super nice place! Very convenient location right next to the Petra ruins, decent dinner buffet within the hotel itself, and an afternoon tea service that was quite impressive. They also had a very nice free breakfast with a great spread of pastries, a limited gym, and a swimming pool. The hotel staff were all super courteous though a bit reserved for sure. Not a super extensive selection of restaurants outside of the hotel but the proximity to the Petra ruins themselves made this well worth the stay.

There was a strong smell of paint outside our rooms. (Hopefully this was just temporary renovation work)

Stayed here for Petra and to propose to my girlfriend (so this was a special stay). I gave the hotel a heads up about this prior to the stay. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel incredibly welcome with 5 star treatment and even given a room upgrade given the special occasion.The hotel is stunning, and the staff go above and beyond. There’s even a free chocolate hour which was a winner. It had a gym a great pool area and spa. We enjoyed a sunset meal on the rooftop restaurant which was cooked to perfection and the portions were huge. The location is the best for Petra in Wadi Musa as it’s right outside entrance. The breakfast was also incredible. Can’t thank the hotel and the staff enough for making the stay so special and memorable. It was perfect and to top it off, she said yes! Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

the Hotel itself is really neat, modern, clean, very well decorated!! the staff is very friendly even though we did not need an early check in (just wanted to left our travel bags..) they offered us the room around 11am with no extra charge (we did not use the room, but still we did appreciate the gesture!) the room was a really nice surprise!! everything perfect! very clean, very comfortable!! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any person visiting Petra.. this time I travelled with my wife BUT considering Petra and this really nice hotel.. we are planning to return again with our two (adult) sons. the dinner in the roof? superb!!! not only the food was delicious, the view, the service...everything went perfect!!

it would be really unfair to write a comment in this section. but if a comment is needed: I paid the room including dinner in the roof (beverages not incuded) we order a soft drink, 2 glasses of wine and two coffees.. it appeared to me that the price was a bit expense.. (not complaining.. just my view).

I am writing to bring to your attention a couple of issues we encountered during our recent stay. When we first checked into our room, the air conditioning was not working, and the room was uncomfortably hot. Despite sending an engineer to fix it, the AC still did not function properly. Due to the extreme heat, we had to wait for hours before the situation was addressed. Eventually, we were moved to a better room, which we appreciated, but the initial experience was quite challenging. I wanted to inform you of this to ensure that future guests do not face similar issues. Thank you for your understanding and attention to this matter.

The hotel is outstanding! We stayed there as a family, and the staff exceeded our expectations. A young staff member accompanied us to the visitor center to help us buy our tickets to visit the ruins . The front office lady, Ayaa, was incredibly nice and hospitable she gave us a worthy recommendation for our dinner. We enjoyed a delightful dinner on the rooftop with a beautiful view, Anas and Saif, the waiters were amazing and professional. The rooms were big and clean, they provided us with good sets of shampoo and conditioner. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.
