We liked breakfasts - lots of options. Some of it would be changed every morning - for example, porridge, types of sausages, sweets, cheese, cold cuts, etc...Gluten free bread, different kind of eggs (duck, chicken, quail) and you could make poached eggs for us. Very friendly waiters. Overall stay was very good. Masseuse Olesya was very professional. She understands body very well - knows how much pressure to give, where and how to press. The best one. The sauna, steam room and pool were in good condition and were a nice addition to our stay. Also we loved restaurant Phoenix (Lake view, good food). And an amazing Aigerim (Guest Relation Supervisor) who always smiling and shining, suggested really nice places to visit. You should have more people like her. Amazing mountain views and a gorgeous property with a golf course and pheasants roaming around. We enjoyed every moment.

We didn't like that the hotel had a weird ventilation system, where you could either hear people from another room (very loud) or if it was very windy outside, the wind would blow into the room through it, making room colder and more unpleasant. The staff was generally friendly, but people like Adil (the porter), who never smiled unless he got a tip, which he always expected, and a few unpleasant cleaners, could spoil the impression...In SPA I would suggest to make rooms warmer before massage session. Otherwise, after 30 minutes it gets cold there, and the heating pad that lies under the sheet does not help much. It only warms the chest/back, but hardly the legs. Service in the Suite room was quite slow.

Breakfast was very well organised with lot of variety but I missed more cut fruits, FRESH fruit juices, milkshake, cold coffee. Apples and pears were not sweet or ripe. Missed grapes also. Staff was extraordinary, very helpful and service was excellent with a smile. Since it is a resort with families on vacation, breakfast till 11 am on all days will be a great attraction.

Housekeeping needs to do take care of not only the beds and towels but also clean used crockery, clear the dustbins and run the hover machine over the carpets. Dusting and arrangement needs to done.

A Memorable 3-Night Stay at Swissôtel Almaty — Service with Heart We stayed at Swissôtel Almaty for 3 nights and were truly impressed by the quality of service and attention to detail throughout our visit. The Reception team was outstanding — clearly well-trained and efficient. Our room was ready in less than 10 minutes, which is fantastic considering we booked and arrived within just two hours. We were also offered a late check-out free of charge, which was much appreciated. The pool water was fresh and clean, and the restaurant food was consistently delicious. Special thanks to Chef Serkan, who not only prepares excellent meat and fish dishes but also surprised our son Arthur with a complimentary welcome cake and fruit plate. It wasn’t just a kind gesture — the cake was genuinely delicious and clearly made with care. We can easily afford our own desserts, but this heartfelt gift truly made us feel special. Now we understand why every dish in the restaurant tastes amazing. The SPA was another highlight of our stay. I experienced two different massage therapists, and both delivered world-class treatments. In Almaty, it’s rare to find Bali- and Thai-level massage, but Swissôtel offers just that. I especially recommend the sport and stretching massage from Master Khalbinur — professional and incredibly relaxing. And finally, a big thank you to Alibek, the bellboy, whose helpfulness and positive attitude made us feel completely at home. His assistance with our luggage — both during check-in and check-out — felt more like the support of a close friend than a hotel staff member.

Spa is great, service is very good, room was clean (although, some small elements are not ideally maintained. Park zone around the hotel is spectacular, there's a tennis court, football and basketball fields.

We had a wonderful family stay at Swissôtel Almaty! The service was truly TOP — every team member made us feel welcomed and cared for. Special thanks to the managers and the reception team for their professionalism and warm attitude. We were lucky to receive an upgrade as Booking.com guests, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious, with something to enjoy for both adults and kids. The walking territory around the hotel is spacious, beautifully green, and perfect for family strolls. The nearby lake even has some fish, which was a fun discovery for our child. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in Almaty!

One downside worth mentioning: the tennis court is always booked by outside guests, which is disappointing. It would be nice if in-house guests had some priority. Previously, it was enough to simply text the reception manager to arrange a game, but now you have to go through the SPA for permission — even if you have your own equipment. This change has made access less convenient for hotel guests.

The facilities were fabulous. The spa was fabulous. We had a treatment each (body massage) which was highly recommended. Pool, sauna, steam room and other spa facilities clean and very pleasant. Had a meal in the Asian food restaurant serving traditional Kazakh food. Pleasant outdoor areas including woodland, golf course and lake area to walk around and enjoy. I would like to say we had excellent customer service from everyone we came on contact with. I would like to say in particular we had amazing service from Merey in the Moxi Bar. She was absolutely delightful and she couldn’t do enough for us both times we visited for lunch.

Not much. The hotel is a way outside the centre of Almaty. Not a problem for us but something to be aware of.

Everything splendid with courteous and smiley service. Cut fruits and more ripe fruits need to be added.

Room lighting was poor. Suggest put adequate bright lights in bedroom and sitting room in Room 1041 with option to the guest to dim them with dimmers. Poor lighting is very depressing. Also there was only one telephone in 1041 in the bedroom and with someone sleeping there, one could not call room dining which was a major handicap

Swissotel is a beautiful, well-maintained hotel. You can relax and enjoy the luxury at the same time. We have stayed in the panoramic view room. It has an amazing mountain view from the balcony. The food is excellent too. We enjoyed the tasty and vast spread of breakfast in the morning from Quarter restaurant. We had grilled meat for our lunch from Phonix restaurant located at the lake side of the hotel, which is exceptionally good. The hotel has a few more restaurants too. But we had good burgers in Boxie Bar for dinner. We got free access to the indoor and outdoor pools. Jacuzzi, sauna as well. But the spa is more special. You can book a massage and relax. The masseuses are great, too. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great time at the hotel.

The atmosphere of the Hotel amongst the Forest and the Golf course without the noise of the city. It was a calming, soothing and serene experience and the set up of the hotel with mineral water flowing underneath and the amazing Purovel spa and the sumptuous food and service served at all the restaurants.

No Free Access to the Golf Course, required Some cute barbecue spots in the cold evening and some outdoor tents to sleep under the skies and not in the rooms.
