The breakfast buffet was very nice and a good selection. The room was spacious and quiet, the bed was comfortable and the linens were good quality. There was paid parking available right outside the main entry which was nice and the location was near restaurants and cafes. The room was generously stocked with bottled water each day. The front desk and lobby staff were very helpful in paying for the parking which requires Kaspi and is unavailable to non-residents of Kazakhstan.

The toiletries in the bathroom were only soap, shampoo, toothbrush, comb and q-tips. No lotion or conditioner was provided.

Check-in was smooth and efficient, thanks to the extremely friendly and consistently helpful staff. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a spacious junior suite on the top floor, which offered a lovely view—something I truly appreciated. The breakfast was another highlight, with a wide selection of items and delicious made-to-order omelets. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. How to get to the place: Bus 79 runs directly from the airport to the “Atakent” stop, which is right next to the hotel. The fare is only 200 KZT (pay cash to driver)—an incredible bargain compared to a standard taxi, which can cost about 20 times more. Beware of taxis at the airport; a friend got scammed for the equivalent of 100 USD ... more than 10 times the normal rate.

The hotel is slightly out of the way, with most major museums and attractions located a bit too far for convenient walking, aside from the nearby Botanical Garden. That said, this is not really a flaw of the hotel itself, but rather a reflection of Almaty’s layout. The city is quite spread out, not particularly walkable, and struggles with heavy traffic that its infrastructure was not designed to handle.

Great clean hotel. Nearby is an exhibition center with a beautiful park and mountain views. For sports lovers, there is a place to go for a run. Very friendly and professional staff. Located near the exhibition center, which is convenient for thevisiting of exhibitions. The downside of the location is the huge constant traffic jams on the main street near the hotel, which complicates the movement of vehicles. But there are always big traffic jams in Almaty.

Pillows and mattresses are very hard to sleep on. I found it difficult to sleep on them. But the hotel staff arranged for me to have a mattress pad, so the next days passed in comfort.

I enjoyed my stay at Best Western Plus Ataken. The hotel has a good location. For me, it was close to where my friend lives. I chose this hotel because it was good value for money. The staff were helpful and willing to help if needed. The breakfast was very good and exceeded my expectations - there were hot and cold dishes, a variety of vegetables and fruit, soup, local pastries (various samsa and pirozhki) and you could also ask for an egg dish to be cooked for you. My room was quite comfortable, the furniture was a bit worn, but I don't mind that as long as there is enough space to hang my clothes and arrange my belongings. There is also a fridge and a kettle with a selection of tea and instant coffee. Some of hotel rooms have a beautiful view on the mountains, I bet, but mine had just a view on the patio. To get to different places I used taxis and they are very accessible and arrive within a maximum of 12 minutes. The way from the airport to the hotel takes about 45 minutes.

I did not find the bed very comfortable as the mattress was hard and the bed itself was a bit low.

Well, my wife and I had a good time there. It was our second trip to Almaty. our first trip hotel wasn't as good as we expected, but this hotel cleaned that unpleasant memory for us. I asked them to print some documents for me and they did it quickly. The breakfast was great also.

I think they should try to be more friendly with foreigners, I mean some people who can't speak Russian. I know that every society has their own culture, but I expected at least some smiley faces :)))

Very good breakfast (fresh fruits, great coffee, lots of choice); good location of the hotel: lots of restaurants and a shopping mall nearby. Internet was good enough for online meetings.

At first, only cold water came out of the shower and we had to wait 2-5 minutes before warm water came out. Although we can see a part of a mountain from the window of our room, the view from the window could be better.

The breakfast was amazing. It had everything I wanted and more. I loved that everything was open so late and that the bar area was available to give me ice cubes. The lobby was very nice. The employee at the dest Azyran (maybe spelled wrong but working Sunday Oct 15 at 1600) did an amazing job helping us several times during our stay. We appreciate her greatly.

The dirty cups and empty bottles weren't removed from our room when it was cleaned. The counter space in the bathroom was very small.

Excellent Staff, always helpful. The hotel is a decent, clean and spacious hotel. The hotel provided info about transfers and it was convenient. It is always better to book your airport transfer with the hotel rather than pick it up from the airport, which is unsafe. The hotel did a great job, when I arrived there was someone with my name to pick me up. Excellent service. Just ensure you always book your transfers with the hotel or Yandex Go, and do not leave this to catch a taxi from the airport.

The location is very convenient if you need to be around Atakent pavilions. Non-smoking rooms are clean and spacious. A wide choice of food options for buffet breakfast.

When you take a shower, itis almost unavoidable that it is leaking on the floor.

Well equipped business hotel , still in good shape, but some renovation would should be scheduled. Staff is helpful and friendly. Located next to shopping mall, conference center and local park.

There are ventilatori system engines located just under the windows therefore you will hear permanent noise, if your room will face the park.
