centrally located, walking distance to shops, restaurants , events, parks. Breakfast is very good , well -spread. Staff is helping, mostly knew English. In Hotel, Restauant food if quite good. Reception area and relax sitting area near the Bar is quite big and well maintained. They allowed us to have some of our own food in the area, meeting in this area. thank you. Reception staff is also courteous and helping. Late check out was allowed, and we appreciated it very much.

they dont have Bell boy, no one to take your luggage from your car, to your room, room to reception. you are on your own to carry all your luggages. A slightly over-priced compare to adjoining Novotel and other near-by hotels.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, comfortable and impeccably clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the breakfasts were enjoyable as well.

It would be great to have better coffee, such as cappuccino made with fresh milk instead of powdered milk, and natural juices rather than boxed juice at breakfast.

I thought the breakfast and dinner had a good range of healthy options, and I especially appreciated that there were gluten-free options available. I also really liked the room service online ordering system - it made things extremely easy. The staff also did a good job and spoke great English.

There was only one towel offered in the room at any time - this felt a bit stingy.

I stayed in this hotel for about a week and would consider it for my next trip to Almaty. My room was well equipped and featured a big bathroom. It was very clean and more or less soundproof with a nice view onto the city. Since my stay happened to be during my birthday, hotel management decided to surprise me with a cake and a kind note in my room, this was very much appreciated. Thank you again for that! Overall the attitude of the staff was very good, professional and welcoming.

I got the chance to try out the hotel's gym. Regarding the size of the room I would say some additional gym equipment/machines could be placed in there.The breakfast was good, although it was missing some simple fruits like: bananas, kiwis etc.

Since I was going to have an early check out (4 am), the day before leaving the hotel, I asked twice to the staff at the reception to have a take-away breakfast, which they confirmed. Upon checkout the box had not been prepared and nobody could give me an explanation, which was quite disappointing to me, because I had asked it twice and with due advance.

It's a great example of Mercure hotel, which are still very different from country to country. This one is great and I will definitely return many times - I know where to stay in Almaty next time. If it doesn't spoil, it would be one of the best in its price ratio.

The only drawback I can point out is the absolutely shameful iron. It's cheap and doesn't have a steam function. Don't know why you cannot afford buying modern ones. Please try to figure this out. The rest is perfectly fine.

The location of the Mercure Almaty City Center hotel is impeccable. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay from our first steps in the hotel all the way to check out. The suite we booked was very spacious and had nice amenities. It's a great place to stay in the lead up to big events.

Some of the lights in the shower area of our room needed to be replaced but this was a very minor problem.

Excellent location in the center with everything around you - the staff were helpful- special thanks to Kallibek for the support with changing rooms when faced with noisy guest next door - they were very considerate of elderly people

Excellently appointed superior suite Room, responsive staff, well located hotel, walking distance to several good eateries, Arbat street, beautiful parks etc.

Bathroom latches were not locking. Lack of parking space on the ground level to park the car for sometime.
