I recently stayed at the ibis Hotel in Almaty and was genuinely impressed. The hotel is one of the newest and most modern options in the city, and it stands out for its cleanliness and contemporary design. The gym was a highlight — well-equipped with new and high-quality tools, making it perfect for anyone who wants to stay active during their trip. My overall stay was very comfortable. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be the pillows; upgrading to higher quality ones could enhance sleep comfort and provide better support. The location is excellent, with easy access to key areas in Almaty. Rooms are spotless, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The value for money is also great. One recommendation for improvement would be to provide additional training for the hotel’s security team, particularly in guest interaction. The language barrier (especially the lack of English) was noticeable and occasionally challenging — better communication could go a long way in improving the overall guest experience. Having stayed at two other hotels in Almaty, I can confidently say this is the best in its class. I would definitely return and recommend it to others visiting the city.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here very much. The location was perfect with top restaurants in the vicinity. Everyone was polite and respectful. The room was always cleaned, and the hotel staff was very accommodating. I especially loved how quiet it was in our room. A little note is that a few times we had to call the reception to ask for different things that were not provided, like towels, slippers, teabags, room cleaning. I’d suggest that the cleaning staff have some sort of a checklist for each room to see if everything was done ✅ That way they can ensure consistency in the service.

The breakfast was standard, as it is in hotels in Central Asia. Very heavy actually, but guests can choose themselves how heavy they wanted their breakfast from a very large options of meals. The hotel is 3 min away from TSUM and Arbat (walking promenade) - quite central. We mainly walked.

Smb smoked in their room and the fire alarm went on. I did not know that, so immediately left my room and followed the emergency exit, ended up in a the court yard of the hotel which was still under construction. I could not get back into the building, But I also could not leave the court yard. I panicked what if fire could reach the court yard. After half an hour I managed to get out of the court yard, there was no one guiding people, who like me ended up in the court yard. We finally got out of the court yard and then I found out that was a false alarm. However, my complaint was accepted and I was compensated with late check-out time when I was leaving.

May be staff should be a bit more professionnel

We found the location great and the bedding very comfortable and in fact we stayed on two occasions. We had a superior room which was spacious but there are no drawers in which to put your belongings and only one chair.

Their policy of trying to charge another night’s accommodation to check in a bit early when we had been travelling for 27 hours from New Zealand is way too strict and we’ve never encountered this in other hotels. The bedside “tables” (nightstands) were tiny, and wobbly and there would have been space to put in a better nightstand and a set of drawers instead of a hanging chair that people probably don’t use or need! Otherwise a good hotel.

I recently stayed at the IBIS Almaty Jetisu, which is centrally located on Arabat Street in Almaty, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The hotel's central location made it incredibly convenient to explore the city's key attractions and enjoy the vibrant local culture. The room was fantastic—well-designed, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The cleanliness and attention to detail were evident, making it a welcoming space to return to each day. The staff truly stood out during my visit. They were not only professional but also warm and attentive, going out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights was the fresh breakfast served every morning. It was simply mouthwatering, with a variety of options to choose from, all freshly prepared and delicious. It was the perfect way to start each day. Overall, my stay at the IBIS Almaty Jetisu was exceptional, combining comfort, excellent service, and a superb location. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Almaty.

Everything was just fine for us. My stay at the IBIS Almaty Jetisu on Arabat Street was perfect in every way. The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was delightful. However, the washrooms lacked a jet spray, which is usually preferred by Indian travelers. Despite this minor inconvenience, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would recommend it!

This was honestly the best stay of my entire central asia trip. For the price point, I get an excellent location on a busy street with so many things happening, a comfortable room with a big bed and a nice hanging hammock to chill on. Plenty of room to lay out luggages to pack as well. There is a modern shopping mall just across the road that would cater to all your shopping and hunger - whether you're looking for western food or just local food. A large supermarket downstairs will serve all your needs as well. Just a wonderful stay.

Just wished they had a facility to change currency, nearest currency changer was at the train station probably 10 minutes down the road, but honestly I don't fault them. Just that this would make them perfect

Small, quiet, clean, well maintained, with kettle and instant coffee (please check if it is included in your plan). Personal is amazing and professional. I stayed several days in Rixos Shymkent and I could say that I would give Ibis staff 5 stars and 3 to Rixos.

The lightning in black bathroom is not sufficient for good shaving. The small side window street noise insulation is compromised but if you have a yard side room, it is ok.

The hotel is located in an ideal location in the middle of a bustling city. There are a lot of restaurants located nearby and open until midnight, which is a plus. The rooms are small but neat. Breakfast is simple and decent. The front desk staff are helpful despite the language barrier. Overall, it's a decent choice to stay in Almaty.

No water is available in the room. But they keep an empty glass jar, so you can fetch your water from the common area. No kettles are provided, too. It is a little inconvenient, but not that bad.

A perfect hotel and stay. I want to thank Anel for her exceptional role, support, and professionalism. I specifically also thank her for her role when she called the ambulance for my medical situation, and hats off to the ambulance team who came within just 7 mints! Anel continued to follow up on my health throughout the stay. I hope Management would read this comment and give her a big applause in public. She is a led by example, someone who loves the job. As for the hotel, everything was perfect, the breakfast selection and taste, room service (excellent team) and most importantly the hotel is just 4 mints away by walk from Arabat street.
