The variety offered in breakfast was good and the water shower in the bathroom was good and powerful, and warm

Having to park away from the establishment, in a separate unrelated establishment across the street, is quite inconvenient when you have to carry your luggage from that parking lot to the Hotel, and back when you check out without a trolley or any help from the establishment. In addition, when you forget anything in the car, and have to walk all the way to pick it, particularly in the chilly night, in the rain, and exposed to any form of insecurity from the street.

check-in and room cleanliness was great. The discussion about paying was not so good. But I decided to pay again and stay. It took a month, but I finally got a refund from Booking.com for the extra payment

they made me pay even though i had prepaid at booking.com. Also, I have stayed at the Monarch many, many times and not eaten breakfast. I had a fried join me for breakfast this time, even though I was not eating. I had to pay for my friend even though I didn't have anything. not a good feeling.

Position near the Ya Ya Centre Staff from security, desk and especially the Resturant girls was exceptional. Large bedrooms with bathrooms.

Couple of mornings we were not allowed into the restaurant as some function was on. So we was asked to go outside under a canopy, we was cold at that time of the morning and some of the other guests even had their hoods up on their big coats. this is very unsatisfactory arrangements.

Amos contacted me from the hotel via WhatsApp and ensured he stayed in touch knowing that I am arriving in the early hours of the morning. He arrange a comfy car with a patient and helpful driver John, who picked me up from the airport. I arrived very tired expecting to go through the usual hectic checking process, honestly it was less than 2mins. The ambiance of the hotel from the reception was beautiful as seen in the photos, the breakfast could have been better. I would say it was the customer service that stood out for me. My 2 night experience was amazing because of wonderful staff of the hotel.

The room was spacious, clean and had the best one of the best teas. The bed was comfortable. Most of the staff members are super and always willing to help with a smile on their faces. They are warm and very welcoming. The hotel is located near a supermarket and other good restaurants

The warm water in the shower took long to warm. The breakfast was okay, but it could have more variety, especially continental foods or recipes and more fruits.

Very clean, very efficient staff. Nice beds, very good hot showers. Good breakfast.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I needed to extend my stay past check out a few hours and they accommodated this without any problem.

The materials (e.g. bed, chairs, linens) could be updated as they seem a bit worn. The breakfast wasn't as well stocked when I arrived but perhaps I arrived a bit late for breakfast.

Really comfortable hotel that feels classier than it’s price tag. There are not too many facilities but the rooms are nice and the restaurant is good and nice areas to sit work/have a coffee. There are also nice places to eat and drink within very short walking distance of the hotel.

Could have had a pool and sold beer but I think it is a Muslim owned hotel hence no beer. However there’s really good places to eat and get a beer immediately adjacent including Empire, Bistro and Ashaki.

Imposing hidden extra charges to a client. I was visited my cousins sister and her son . I took them to my room so that I can give them some gifts which I was brought for them. I was charged for letting them enter my room . I was charged half room price . I got very pissed off for this act . It actually theft to clients.

Everything was amazing and on point from breakfast to all their meals and the staff was amazing made me feel like VIP. Thanks to Hashim, Pamela, mercy, Vincent, cornel. I could name the whole staff but can’t remember all their names they were all amazing from the security team to housekeeping team.
