Pha Nya Residence is in a beautifully restored heritage colonial building, right in the middle of the UNESCO old town. Every detail has been carefully considered and perfectly executed. It feels like being transported back to the golden age of travel in French Indochina. The rooms are large and well appointed, comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Very attentive and helpful staff, great breakfast options and services. Could not recommend this place any more highly, well worth the price for the comfort, luxury and beautiful setting.

Nothing! There was a temple across the road which makes some noise at 4am and 5.30 am but we didn't mind. I think it really adds to the old world charm of the hotel and the beautiful old town.

This hotel is stunning and perfectly located in the heart of the old town. The recently renovated historic building is magnificent and the design choices complement it perfectly. The staff were very nice and helpful though some have better English than others. And the very helpful and gracious owners gave us great restaurant recommendations and tips on enjoying our visit. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot and found it worth it. The setting is beautiful and the croissants and fresh fruit are very tasty.

Only small complaint is a slight sewage smell in the bathroom - this may just be a fact of being in a historic building. Also not at all the hotel’s fault, but be aware staying in the old town is amazing but a bit noisy! Pre-dawn drumming from the temple, packs of dogs howling in the middle of the night etc. There was no restaurant/bar noise though as the hotel is away from the Main Street.

Great location very close to main shopping and restaurants all walking distance. Centrally located to all the famous and historical sites. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The best was Caroline who took time to contact me before arriving offering various help and on checking in spend more than 30 minutes providing various advices on how to move about in Luang Prabang, what and where to eat. Many thanks Caroline. The highlight was the sumptuous breakfast of local and French or have both. We had our breakfast there on 3 consecutive days !!! Definitely value for money, Will come again when next in LP.

This former historic home, located within walking distance of virtually everything of note, has been lovingly restored into a beautiful 10 room guesthouse. Everything is spotless and tastefully decorated. There is a pergola-covered outdoor dining area where one can savor a delicious breakfast in the morning or drinks in the evening. The multilingual managers, Caroline and Guillaume, were super friendly and fountains of information on things to do and places to eat. Guillaume even walked down to the nearby riverbank to help us secure a boat ride. Can’t praise the place highly enough!

My family and I loved our accommodations at Pha Nya Residence. This place is gorgeous, very unique! The owners did a wonderful job and are very hands-on. The rooms were spacious. And the staff, just amazing and very welcoming. They are knowledgeable about the area and all that it has to offer. We had last minute guest join, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you're in doubt, don't be. Book asap! Hopefully, we'll be back again to visit.

There was no bar or pool at the residence, but that was okay. There were plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and our other accommodations throughout our trip had pools, which this was a nice break. This place is also on the quieter side, so noise is to be minimal at night.

The family room was outstanding and very spacious for up to four guest. Comfortable king size bed downstairs and two comfortable single beds upstairs for the kids. The view over the temple in front and surounds is absolute front row seat and stunning. The hotel is stunning also, brand new referbished Laos/ French colonial residence, super clean and super stylish - the hosts and staff are super lovely and helpful with great knowledge of Luang Prabang. PHA NYA RESIDENCE is a beautifully renovated property. The rooms are stunning, well equipped and very comfortable. The bathrooms are well appointed, included toiletries and the shower pressure is amazing (which is often not the case in Asia). The room was spotlessly clean. The outside/communal space is lovely, there is a terrace with comfortable chairs and tables and umbrellas. The owners are very friendly and helpful, they helped me arrange my train tickets and gave me recommendations for place to eat. The location is excellent - right in the middle of the old quarter and everything is within a 10 minute walk. I cannot recommend this place enough! Also, for the price I paid it is exceptional value for money.

Guillaume and Caroline are crafting an exquisite renovation of a rare art deco 1930’s Luang Prabang house. The location is superb, the hospitality warm and helpful, and the atmosphere is elegant yet understated. Rooms are very spacious and furnished in high quality, minimalist dark timber furniture. Bathrooms have been modernised with elegant understated tiling and fittings. They have avoided creating just another boring, modern luxury hotel room cliche, instead they have chosen the best of materials and quality workmanship to bring out the original building’s charm. We didn’t want to leave, and will return.

My stay at Pha Nya Residence was fantastic! This is a traditional Laos house with so much history! It is beautiful, newly renovated, clean, and comfortable. Guillaume and Caroline were really wonderful hosts who went above and beyond, gave me great recommendations and helped me with all the bookings and services I needed. I also liked how knowledgeable and respectful they were of the Lao culture; I learnt something new about Laos every time I spoke with Guillaume! I loved my stay here and would stay here again the next time I come back to Luang Prabang.

A beautifully restored building in an absolutely perfect location to explore Luang Prabang. Caroline and Guillerme are AMAZING hosts who went out of their way to help us with advice, recommendations and arranging tuk tuks when needed. But they really went above and beyond when my partner got a bad cut on his head (when walking around the city) and helped to get us to a great clinic who quickly sorted the issue out. The rooms are wonderful and very comfortable and it’s close to a million great food options. There is even a temple opposite the rooms so you can open your doors to see the morning monk procession with no tourists in sight. Highly recommend!
