Everyone running this guesthouse are just so incredibly warm and kind. The room was very comfortable, cosy, clean and good value. The location is perfect - what a stunningly beautiful area, with so much to see and enjoy in walking distance. There is free water and tea for guests and a great laundry service. They helped booking day trips and tuk tuks. Enjoyed the talkative little cat on the balcony :)

Something that would be nice to offer in future would be to have bedside lamps, and a dish for the bar of soap/cup for your toothbrush in the bathroom.

I like everything about it. Lee at reception is amazingly helpful and friendly. She was able to take care of my laundry and help with booking train tickets. I used Luang Prabang as a base to travel to more remote areas of Laos and was able to leave gear here until i returned. Apple is less than 100m from the Mekong River and only about a 10 minute walk to the night market. It's in a great, quiet location. The beds are firm, but not as hard as some I've had in Asia. Not every room has a fridge, so if you want one it's worth enquiring when booking. Pretty good hot water and the pressure was ok. This is my preferred place to stay here and I'd definitely stay here next time I'm in LP.

I had a great stay here! The location was perfect, walking distance from everything in the Old Quarter and right between the river and the main street. My room was quite large especially for a solo traveller and very good value. The family that runs the guesthouse is very sweet and helpful. The laundry service was the quickest I’ve experienced so far. definitely recommend this guesthouse if you’re planning a trip to Luang Prabang!

Definitely nitpicking because this was a great stay. The bed was a little bit hard for me (but if you prefer a firm mattress you’ll be fine) and sometimes you went to the front desk to find the owner’s son playing computer games.

We loved Apple guest house, it's located right near all the action in Luang Prabang and so you can walk everywhere! The room was tidy clean and tastefully decorated. We loved that there was a shared deck/lounging area with tables and chairs and tea and coffee. Good for sitting up doing late night bookings and blogging while the kids slept. The cute family who owns it was super helpful and obliging. Sometimes you'd pop down and the young son was manning the desk playing computer games, but it didn't mattter as someone who could help you was not far away!

A litte fridge in the tea coffee station on the deck would be super helpful or a board and a knife to cut up fruit!

We had a relaxing & restful stay run by a wonderful friendly family who speak excellent English - we arrived late but the owner helped us settle in and kindly let us sort payment & paperwork once we had showered after our long journey from Phonsavan (9hrs not 6....and very dusty!) The lovely couple were always ready to help with questions & advice, they booked our minivan to Nong Khiaw including tuktuk pick up (3hr journey) and generally a pleasure to chat too An extensive folder is provided in the room with trips & transport options (Slow Boat advice - allow 30 mins in tuktuk to get to the pier, in addition to arriving 1hr before departure time) Nice bathroom, very quiet area and comfortable room, large bed, efficient AC, free water refill and tea & coffee available Saffron Coffee & The Chess have really nice Western breakfasts (Smoothie & Yoghurt bowls were huge!) and great coffee to start the day Short walk to Night Market, can close around 9pm so go early We hired a scooter through them to visit the Kuang Si waterfalls and Buffalo Dairy (whatsapp in advance so they can manage group size - it's fab brushing a friendly Buffalo & ice cream is delicious!) Very quick laundry turnaround in less than a day and the freshest smelling in our SEA trip yet ~ thank you

We booked Apple Guest house as previous guests who reviewed it said the staff were very helpful. We found that 100% to be the case. Lee looked after every aspect of our stay. She booked our train tickets (only 48 hours before we had to travel). She arranged mini vans for us. She gave us great travel advice and she was very friendly! Not too mention that it is in a great location and is a very comfortable place to stay.

We loved everything about Apple guesthouse! we were welcomed warmly and helped with everything. The location is incredible, 1 minutes walk from the Mekong river bank, just a couple of minutes walk from the temples and monasteries. We had a triple room. the beds were super comfy and the room was spotlessly clean with a nice modern bathroom with hot water. We had well functioning aircon, ceiling fan, and fridge. in the room we had an information pack which was excellent- describing how to access all the sights, a walking tour, as well as recommending local restaurants and businesses. There is a lovely shared terrace where you can make tea/ coffee with filtered water to refill your bottles. We also used their laundry service which was very reasonably priced. The location is very near a range of cafes and restaurants, there is something for every budget. we stayed 4 nights - we wanted to stay longer but they were booked out! we highly recommend Apple Guesthouse.

Jimmy and Nou are the loveliest hosts ever and the rest of the housekeeping staff at Apple guesthouse were amazing. Someone was always available at reception helping the guests and they even helped us book our transfer to the train station. The location is absolutely perfect, nestled away from busier roads and very quiet. We loved the character of the guesthouse and our room and enjoyed the free tea and coffee on the communal balcony.

Do not stay in room number 9. Unfortunately, our room was placed right above a restaurant which would be cooking food from 8am in the morning until 9pm at night. Smoke and cooked food smells would travel into our room and the only way we could get rid of the smell was to tape cling film over the windows and blast the air conditioning to push the smell out. I wasn’t able to dry my hair in the room as the smell was so intense and had to inconveniently do this on the communal balcony. We did ask to move rooms but the guesthouse was fully booked so had to improvise with the cling film. Other than this issue, it would have been a perfect stay!

Apple Guest House was a sweet accommodation for our family. All previous reviews helped us pick this location and were spot on with accuracy. The location is fantastic. It is located downtown but on a very quiet side street. Check-in was very smooth. The hotel owners are very sweet people and very accommodating. The beds were comfortable and the little porch was a great place for our family to hang out. We would definitely recommend this place and return!

The receptionist Laa Lee was excellent; considering, conscientious and efficient.

Not very clean: the shower curtain was rather horrible. My white socks got dirty there within a half hour on my first day. Once I was frightened by a cockroach in my room, the first encounter in my four visits (perhaps I have been lucky!?). Also there were minute ants in the bathroom. I liked the guesthouse, and I am mentioning these for people like me who may have pictured a very clean place with wonderful reviews. First I was given a room not like in the picture. Then I was given another room, but I found no hot water there in the evening, and was given another room the following day. So, about the size of my room, the question coming later, I am referring to the first room I had been given.
