The free breakfast is good—and the mountain view spectacular: the attached photo is from the table!—but small and you can’t buy more. (Fortunately, the ‘no outside food’ rule doesn’t seem to be enforced during this, non-commercial mealtime, and there’s plenty of cheap and varied food nearby so it’s not a big problem.) Comfy seating in the common area (by reception) and they don’t feel the need to pump in music-nobody-asked-for (why do others in public spaces *do* that?!), so you can actually read, have a quiet conversation, or just space out as you like.

Be prepared to pay in USD cash! Otherwise they use an exchange rate ~6% above xe.com (and if you use a credit card, there’s a 3% surcharge.) No kitchen access—you can’t even make your own coffee or tea. They charge for drinking water (though not much for refills). Dorm 112 has a constant shower leak, making the bathroom floor always wet. (Only water, of course, but still…)

Amazing place to stay it’s been our favourite place so far in our travels at the moment the staff were absolutely amazing and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The Family that work the hostel are amazing they’d do anything for anybody and try and help you in the best way possible I booked a few things separately not knowing that the hostel could sort things like that out I.e transfers and they would of been cheaper so keep that in mind. We loved it here so much that we extended every day! Really nice pool and the home cooked meal was absolutely sublime really brings everyone together every Wednesday, I don’t usually write reviews for hostels but this hostel deffo has a special place in my heart!

Honestly there wasn’t much but one thing that I would change is to get some travellers working behind the bar during the day that way they can control music and people will buy more beer but that’s just an opinion that I told the manager/owner as I offered to do it for a bed and 1 meal a day!

The location is a few minutes walk away from all local amenities which is convenient. There is a swimming pool where you can cool down and relax against a backdrop of Vang Vieng’s mountains. The free breakfast is a nice touch. The hostel receptionist Nguyen was particularly helpful and friendly providing tips on local attractions and activities. I appreciated his service and hospitality.

The swimming pool can benefit from even more regular cleaning. This may have been due to the burning season which meant there was more debris.

Fantastic hostel with everything you could ask for! The view of the Nam Song River is simply unbeatable, and the pool area is stunning. My room was very clean and comfortable. The staff here were lovely and provided excellent service, making sure I had a great stay. The bar and restaurant have a great menu with delicious food and refreshing drinks. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel located right next to the Nam Song River. The view from my room was absolutely stunning, especially during sunset. The location is perfect—there are numerous restaurants and bars nearby, so I never had to travel far for great food or nightlife. The hotel offers both dorm beds and private rooms, which cater to different types of travelers. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my experience even more enjoyable. taying at this riverside hotel was a great experience. The proximity to the Nam Song River made the atmosphere calm and serene, which I loved. The location was quite good. And the view at the hostel is stunning and relaxing especially by the pool. The staff are generally nice. The guy at the reception was patient enough to tell me a little bit about the history of Laos which I appreciated.

The beds and pillow’s were not too comfortable and it was bit difficult to sleep. The bed also makes noise every time you move. The food for breakfast is generally okay, basic but could be better.
